Summary: Danny and Steve are involved in a hit and run and are stuck on a secluded part of the island where no one barely drives. Will they get out alive and in one piece?

I for one love Steve and Danny's characters and friendship.

Chapter 1

Steve and Danny had some holiday and Steve decided to drop in on Danny with news that he was going to be spending a weekend with him. Danny was not impressed.

"Steve do you know what holiday days are! They are for colleagues to spend time apart I don't want to be looking at your face for 2 days."

"Do you know that hurts my feelings!" Steve replied

"Well you should of thought about that before you drop this news on me" Danny said.

They continued arguing as Danny got into his car with his stuff, Steve wasn't budging he also piled his stuff into Danny's little car.

"I'm not gonna be able to ditch you am I?" Danny asked.

"Nope. Just think this will be fun we can go fishing" Steve said grinning at Danny.

"Nope do you remember the last time we went fishing, we got robbed we were sinking in a dinghy and Mr navy seal over here thought we weren't stranded when we clearly were in the middle of the ocean…." He got cut off by Steve.

"Ok, Ok I get it we won't go fishing how about camping?" he suggested.

"Am I the only one who remembers what happened when we went camping I got shot and a little girl was kidnapped!"

"Well that won't happen this time okay."

"You know what fine whatever I'm not going to be able to ditch you so fine lets go camping" Danny said.

They drove in silence, Danny couldn't cope with another cargument he didn't even want to spend the weekend with him anyway. Plus Grace was in Los Vegas with her Rachel and Stan. Stan had moved out there after he got a job offer. He was going to move to Los Vegas but he didn't want to chase them around, it wasn't fair on Grace and Danny plus he found a home in Hawaii there task force Steve as much he would hate to admit it he is family now. So Grace comes here twice every month.

"I got the perfect place to camp its quiet and we can breathe in nature"

"God you're so weird I can breathe air from my apartment bed" Danny argued

They were on the verge of another cargument.

"You can't just stay in bed for all the days off you have that's just boring."

"Ok, well I'm outside ok and once again in my car, a car that I cannot drive!"

"Fine you wanna drive"... silence..."See I thought not plus you don't even know where we are going"

After about 45 minutes of driving they got to Steve's destination. Steve parked the car and got out.

"Danny welcome to Punalu'u" Danny got out the car and took a moment to adjust to the light to see where Steve had taken him. "Nice"

"I know right it's beautiful just wait til you see the view from up the hill and by the ocean" Steve said as he got the stuff out of the car.

"Ok maybe I should listen to you once in a while." Danny said as they walked to go get a space to camp

"I love you buddy" Steve said. "I love you too"

They set up their camp and set off up the mountain. Steve kept glancing at Danny and saw a frown on his face.

"What's up Danny?"

"Nothing it's just Grace what if she doesn't want to see me anyone come back and forth I don't want to do that for her she deserves normal she deserves to be a normal kid"

"Look Grace loves you and that's enough for me and see is excited every time she sees you and I shouldn't say this because she told me not too but she sends me pictures of you 2 when she you do things together and I gotta say I love the one of you dressed up as Elsa that is a keeper"

"Wow we will have a chat then"

"Don't do that I love seeing the photo's of you embarrassing yourself!"

"Wow your so not helpful, but ok I'll let it drop let's just get to the top"
