Prologue: The Final Struggle
The struggle against Galeem & Darkhon was battle that was hard fought. As every single fighter fought with their Spirit companions, boosting their power, the tides may turn in their favor. But, only five fighters were fighting the beings of light and darkness head-on: Luigi, Sonic, Kirby, Meta Knight, and Zelda.
"We gotta win this!" Said Sonic. He was struggling to get all of Galeems attacks off of him. They all tried to get the two godly beings to attack each other, since they were opposing forces from the beginning. It looked like their plan was working to an extent, but the battle wasn't going well.
"How-a can we win?! They're-a too strong!" Said Luigi. He was getting winded from these attacks, and he doesn't know how long they can keep this up for. But, before anymore attacks could be pulled, the five fighters began to glow in a rainbow aura. They had their Final Smashes ready!
"Thank the Triforce for Master Hand!" Said Zelda.
"But remember, Luigi's Final Smash can only get other fighters, and Zelda's Final Smash has too little range." Reasoned Meta Knight.
"Kirby, attack Galeem with your Ultra Sword! Meta Knight, use your Final Smash on Darkhon! I'll try to finish it off!" Planned Sonic. The two Star Warriors then took to the air, and began to use their Final Smashes.
"Ultwa Swowd!(Ultra Sword)" Yelled Kirby, as he delivered multiple slashes to Galeem's core, and it was starting to crack as Kirby delivered the final blow.
"Darkness Illusion!" Yelled Meta Knight, as his eyes went red, and he grew two extra wings, and began to deliver a barrage of attacks on Darkhon's eye, weakening him.
"Now I'll show you! Super Sonic style!" Yelled Sonic as all 7 Chaos Emeralds gave him their power, turning him into the golden, invincible, Super Sonic. He began to travel at Light Speed, attacking the two godly beings at all sides. Suddenly, the platform the fighters were on began to be engulfed in light.
The two gods were losing their power drasticly with every second. They soon saw that if neither of them could have their world, these 5 Smashers shouldn't get their world. They began to expel the last of their energy into Super Sonic's Chaos Energy, which caused the light to become brighter and brighter, until yells could be heard all across the battlefield.
Suddenly, the light and dark copies began to diminish, and all the spirits began to go back to their home in the real world. The battle has been won, but Master Hand had sensed something wrong.
"Oh no...oh...no..." Master Hand trailed off. "Everyone...I am sorry to inturrupt your victory against Galeem and Darkhon, but I have good news, and bad news.
"Let's get the good news, first!" Said Popo.
"Well, the good news is that all the spirits will reclaim their bodies, and will be sent back to their home worlds tomorrow. And, the bad news... is that those who were fighting them directly... I can't sense their energies."
"...I-I can't either!" Said Palutena.
"Wait, so you mean..." Trailed off Lucina.
"Yes. Those who fought Galeem and Darkhon directly...are gone." Finished Master Hand.
"No...Luigi...Luigi...LUIIIIIIIIIIGIIIIIIIIIIII!" Yelled Mario, beginning to shed tears over his younger brother.
"I can't believe I failed to protect Zelda...I'll never forgive myself..." Said Link, joining Mario in their despair.
"Sonic... I never thought he could be defeated..." Said Mega Man, remembering his friend.
"I never thought that Kirby and Meta Knight would leave like this... I need my buddies back!" Said King Dedede, crying over his best friends.
Everyone saw that it was a dark day for the Super Smash Bros. The next day, a funeral was held to remember the 5 fighters who saved them all.
"Luigi... we can't be the Super Mario Bros. without you...I want you back..." Said Mario, crying tears of sorrow for his brother.
"I'm no hero... I couldn't protect her..." Link brooded.
"Why do I have to keep trying to clobber that there Kirby so much?!" King Dedede was sobbing uncontrollably at this point.
"Sonic, Zelda, Kirby, Meta Knight, Luigi, all that you have done will never be forgotten... We hope that you five are in a better place..."
In an unnamed forest area, on a different planet, there was a bright flash of light that appeared. It took two minutes, but it finally diminished, but the light had left a few familiar faces.
A blue, anthropomorphic hedgehog, who can run faster than sound and light, named Sonic The Hedgehog.
A green-cladded plumber who can weild fire and thunder from his hands, jump high, swing a hammer, and use power-ups, named Luigi Jumpman.
A masked Star Warrior who weilds a golden blade, can fly with his wings, give lots of wisdom, and much more, named Meta Knight.
A Hylian Princess who can use many forms of magic, named Princess Zelda.
And a Baby Star Warrior that can copy his opponent's powers to the best of his ability, named Kirby.
Sonic only had three words to say to the recent events:
