Ahoy! Okay so I have a few notes before I continue. This story is inspired by two actual events. The first one is, last night I got food poisoning (don't trust strange hot-dogs from the fridge). While I was suffering on the bathroom floor, the only thing to bring me joy was watching Ninjago on an iPad. I am much better today, and I decided in honor of last night I would write a fanfiction for it.

Now I'm not sure it's a great repayment to my baby Ninja for making me happy to force them through THIS, but I'm sure at this point in the fanfiction world, food poisoning is the least icky thing to happen to them. I'm not sure about you guys, but I imagine Kai would much rather be puking than be in a lemon with Garmadon if you get what I mean. But then again what do I know.

The second thing this is based off of is a trip to Colorado I went on with my family when I was pretty little. The night before we left my not-to-be-named aunt made chicken salad. Something, however, was wrong with the chicken, and my whole family was vomiting for the rest of the trip. Also, eating a ton of candy-corn on top of that does NOT help. I haven't eaten candy-corn without remembering that nasty moment in the stroller since.

Anyway, enough of me jabbering on about failed family trips, you guys are here to read about the Ninja! So, on with the show...

Warnings: There will be A LOT of puking in this story. It's not graphic, but if you have a weak stomach anyway, I would suggest you tread lightly.

Headcannon: Even though Kai should have a strong stomach, being Nya's big brother and probably having dealt with all kinds of gross, he doesn't. Just thinking of someone throw up makes him nauseous.

It was Cole's fault. And the ninja hated him for it. They had all agreed, that was the last time Cole was allowed to cook.

What had happened was, the night before their vacation to the beach, Cole had thrown together a chicken salad for dinner. For the first time, one of his meals actually looked edible. They had praised him for the great job he had done, and enjoyed the meal.

The next day however, had shown just how very terrible the food happened to be.

They had taken an airplane, because their resort was too far away to get there by energy dragon, and they wanted to relax during the journey.

The first fly to drop was Lloyd; he started throwing up halfway there and didn't stop until they arrived.

Second was Kai. He went back and forth from pale to green on the plane just thinking about Lloyd vomiting, and when they got to the airport he immediately made his way to the public restroom.

Everyone was a little worried that two of their own was puking, but Nya told them Kai had always had a bit of a weak stomach, and just the thought of sick made him gag.

She went down next.

At this point they were starting to realize, that if they were all sick at once it must have been something they ate, and the last thing that everybody had eaten was Cole's chicken salad.

They get to their hotel and at this point everyone is starting to worry that they'll be next, and Cole starts swearing up and down he didn't mean to poison them.

Next to drop is Jay. Now Lloyd, Kai, Nya and Jay are all spewing at once. Jay takes the toilet, Nya in the sink, Lloyd has commandeered the trash-can, and Kai is in the lobby bathroom.

Zane and PIXAL rush back and forth, helping clean up everything before round two starts. Round three. Round four.

Now Misako is regurgitating chicken salad in the kitchen sink. Cole knows he must be next, and he along with Wu, PIXAL and Zane attempt to help their friends by holding back hair, cleaning up stray chunks, and giving Lloyd a new trash bag.

Although the two Nindroids will be fine, they now begin worrying for Cole, not because he might fall ill at any minute, but because if he doesn't, he will have four angry ninja and a Misako to deal with, making sure he suffers when they get home.

When Wu starts turning green he runs to join Kai downstairs, and Cole knows he's gonna be in trouble.

As it turns out, Cole's stomach is stronger than the others. This is much to his relief, and fear.

The ninja and Sensei make Cole pay for poisoning them, even if it was a mistake.

The trip is a bust as they are all sick the entire time, until the last day, which of course is the day it rains.

They all go back home, miserable and tired, but all agreeing on one thing; Cole is never allowed to cook again.

And that's a wrap! I hope no one threw up half-way through the story :P
