I'm so happy to have at least three people who want this dark story!

Summary: At the end of season one, Garrett and Raina keep asking Ward for Skye. Raina thinks she's special. Garrett has gone insane. And now, Ward finally has her within reach.

*Takes place in 1x22, when Ward threatens to "take what he wants". In the show, May steps in to save her, but what would happen if she didn't? That's what this story was about; if Garrett's team got their hands on Skye.

WARNINGS: This is a very, very dark story. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone under 13. Seriously. Also, this is NOT FOR SKYEWARD SHIPPERS!

"Well maybe I'll just take what I want," Ward snapped through clenched teeth.

Skye had to admit she was scared. Her former S.O. looked so big, so menacing to her. Her soft side wanted to see him as the same man she grew to love, but she brushed that thought away. Get it together, she said to herself. This man is threatening you right now. This isn't the Ward you know. This is a monster. The Ward you know is gone; he never was real.

Skye aimed her gun at him. "What makes you think you can?"

He scoffed from behind his weapon. "Come on, Skye. You're just a hacker. You could never defeat me."

Skye's insides burned in rage. Her nostrils seemed to flare. "You take that back. Or I'll shoot."

He smirked. "Oh, Skye..." He mocked pity and knitted his eyebrows. "...I think that's my job."

Before she could react, Ward pulled the trigger and Skye collapsed to the floor.

She was shot in the thigh. Ward had shot her.

The man who had kissed her just days before had shot her.

Ward began to approach his former rookie, but she tried to scamper as far away from him as possible. She started to get dizzy from the pain and blood loss.

Ward crouched down to pick her up, but she used her good leg to push back into the wall behind her. "Don't," she snapped. She bit her lip to keep from screaming out in pain. Please help, May. Or Coulson. Or anyone... she thought.

"I'm sorry, rookie, but I have orders." The muscular man slid his arms under Skye and lifted her with ease.

Skye thrashed around in his grasp. "Let go of me!" she screamed, hoping someone, anyone, could hear. But Ward was strong and she was injured.

To her horror, Ward put his meaty hand over her mouth as he began walking. "Shut up, will ya?"

Skye bit his finger and tasted metal. Ward gasped and jerked his hand away from her. Skye smiled smugly. "You won't get away that easily."

Her smugness faded as the pain in her leg grew. She fought hard to remain conscious.

Soon Skye found herself in another room. She looked up to see Garrett and Mike.

"Mike," she gasped.

"What did you do to her?!" Mike demanded from Ward. "You were told to bring her in, not shoot her!"

"Pipe down, Mikey," Garrett said, patting the man's shoulder. "She's not dead."

"Not yet," the girl snapped. She tried and failed to kick Ward again.

"Would you quit," Ward said through clenched teeth.

Skye scoffed. "At least put me down. I can't run anyway."

Ward looked to his mentor for permission, and Garrett just shrugged. "Fine," Ward told Skye, gently setting her feet on the ground.

Skye made a run for it, using her good leg to hop away.

"Not so fast," Ward shouted, tripping her. Skye fell to the hard ground with a thud, and she gasped in pain.

"That was a bad idea..." Skye teased as Ward lifted her up once again.

"You're a smart kid, I have to admit," Garrett said, looking at the girl in his rookie's arms.

"What do you want with me?!" Skye demanded.

"Woah woah woah," Garret chuckled, holding his hands up in defense. "No need to get feisty, girl."

"Tell me," she said through clenched teeth.

"Fine. Raina thinks you're special. She knows things about you." Garret looked like a crazy person from Skye's angle. Well, he would from anyone's angle at this point.

Skye bit her lip, trying to hide her fear. "Then why are you taking me?"

Garret got very uncomfortably close to Skye's face and smiled evilly. "I guess you'll just have to wait to find out."

His words sent shivers up her spine. Her heart raced as Ward dragged her to the hijacked Bus, which was positioned near Cybertek.

The first person Skye saw was Raina. She watched the creepy woman's eyes light up at the sight of her. "You got her?" Raina asked the men.

"Yep. Just like you asked," Ward replied. Skye watched as the hangar door closed. She was locked in.

Raina's brow furrowed as she looked at Skye's bleeding leg. "Bring her into the lab. Let me fix her up."

Skye hated that they spoke as if she was not around. She felt like an object. A nothing.

As Ward laid Skye on the Bus's lab table, she wondered why her team hadn't found her yet. She heard the Bus take off and felt her heart racing in fear.

Raina snapped Skye out of her thoughts by shouting at Ward to leave. Skye watched her former S.O. and lover leave. What a disgusting man.

"I can't believe he shot you," she said to her as she ripped off her bloody pant leg.

Skye flinched, but Raina glared at her as if to tell her to stop. Those creepy eyes were enough to incapacitate a full-grown man.

Raina began to dig at Skye's bullet wound with long tweezers. It was painful, but she bit her cheek hard enough to keep from crying out. A few moments later, the tweezers came out holding a little golden bullet.

"I mean, I only asked him to take you in, not injure you." She dabbed her wound with a cold alcohol swab.

Skye scoffed. "I guess I wasn't easily persuaded, then."

She looked up from her work for a moment, tilting her head to study the girl. "You are a peculiar one, aren't you?"

Skye just rolled her eyes, and Raina got back to work. Skye felt a sharp pain as Raina stitched her up. "You couldn't get just a little bit of numbing medicine?"

Raina ignored Skye's remark. Once she finished stitching her up, she stuck a bandage onto her leg. "There. That should do it."

Skye sat up quickly, but Raina put her finger up as if to tell her to stop. "You move, and an army of soldiers come to hurt you."

"Nazi soldiers," Skye said under her breath.

Raina removed her gloves and tossed them onto a medical tray. "You know, Skye, one day, you'll understand your part in this. You and I are very alike."

"I doubt that."

"I don't. Skye, you contain something that can help us. Something you'll never be able to predict."

"I don't care," she muttered. "My team will be here before you can get to any of that."

"How do you know they care about you anymore?" Raina wanted to know. "They didn't even come when you were crying for help, now did they?"

Skye looked down at the floor. She tried not to let Raina's words get to her.

"They didn't," Skye finally said. "But a family never abandons one another. And I won't let you get in the way of that."

Ahh I hate to brag but I'm really proud of this! Let me know what you're thinking so far. I know it isn't dark yet but it will be soon enough. Thanks for letting me write this :)
