FORBIDDEN FRUIT
Prelude
Surrendered to the sea
The afternoon was slightly waning. The sunset tinted the sky and created a picturesque and very beautiful view. The delight in this spectacle was evident in his eyes. The golden sky, the silence becoming more and more noticeable because of the proximity of the night, the soft setting of the sea on the sand... All of this produced a necessary sensation of tranquility, a breath of primordial peace, a fundamental tranquility to continue the day by day. Ah! he thought. "I wish this would last forever...
The sea breeze caressed his face, like a soft, loving hand gently gliding over the cheeks and temples of a child. He smiled. He closed his eyes and inhaled the icy air from the sea deeply. His body shook slightly as the cold whisper of the sea entered his body. He relaxed his posture and prepared to lie down on top of himself to better enjoy the moment.
A sharp and musical humming became present in the ephemeral silence of the environment. He accompanied his gentle and harmonious melody with a sweet and affable voice. Everything around him seemed to follow the rhythm of the melody. And to the rhythm of it, the night quickly loomed over the ocean. Her eyes opened. I looked up at the dark sky and inhaled another breath of air. This time, it felt hot and wild. Her body tensed with this sensation. Under his gaze.
"Happy times are so fleeting..." He said to himself.
That humming was heard much louder, breaking the silence that the night brought with it. An inexplicable warmth flooded the place.
He closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.
The humming stopped.
And the night was solemnly silent again.
And the world covered its ears, closed its eyes and was filled with indifference.
A new symphony was born, but everyone decided to ignore it. No... More than that... They were trying to avoid it by stealth...
Like a child who hides in the closet and covers his ears while his parents argue.
Like the prey that takes refuge while hearing the bloody festival that its predator is causing around it.
Like a human being huddling together to avoid his most tangible fears.
And that symphony continued all night...
