Marlene and Lily were starting to get a little worried. James and Sirius said they'd be at the Leaky Cauldron by 8:00. It was 8:30 and they still weren't there. The boys might have not been the most punctual people they knew, but normally they would at least send a Patronus. They sat down at the bar and ordered firewhiskeys for the boys and butterbeers for themselves. They became more and more worried until they finally showed up, at 9:00. The girls were so relieved to see them that they didn't bother to ask them where they'd been.

They ate dinner and went to a Muggle movie theatre. After, they went out for ice cream. After their ice cream, they agreed to split up for 30 minutes and meet back at the Leaky Cauldron before they went back to the flat that they lived together in. It had been James and Sirius's idea since the girls worked together and the boys worked together, it was a perfect system.

With James and Lily

"So Lils, what did you want to do?"

"Nothing in particular, what do you want to do?"

"Ask you a question"

"Okay," said Lily, a little confused

James fiddled with the ring in his pocket. "Lily, you know I love you a lot and I'd like to spend the rest of my life with you"

"Yes"

"Then will you marry me?," asked James, finally taking out the ring.

"Yes, yes, a thousand times yes"

James slipped the ring on her finger. "You're too cute when you're blushing, but especially right now"

"Stop it"

"Well, my love what do you want to do now?"

With Marlene and Sirius

"What do you want to do Sirius?"

"Nothing specific, want to get a coffee?"

"Sure"

Both of them ordered a latte. When they were finished with their coffee, they kept walking.

"Can I ask you a question?,"asked Sirius

"Sure anything"

"Do you love me?"

"Of course I do"

"Marlene, I love you a lot too, and I would like to spend the rest of my life with you."

He pulled the ring out of his pocket. "Will you marry me?"

"Of course," Marlene looked on the verge of tears.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing"

"Well, we've got to meet Lily and James, should we tell them?"

"Yeah"

With all 4 of them

"Lily, James I have something to show you," said Marlene

"So do we"

They pulled their hands from under the table at the same time. A lot of congratulationses went around between the four of them.

They were about to leave when Lily asked "Why were you guys so late?"

"The rings just arrived today, the shipment was late," James explained.

That night, both couples went to bed knowing that they had each other, and their entire lives together in front of them.
