At a village just outside the town of Gravity Falls, there was a family of four. The parents had two sons. Their firstborn son, Harrison, though, had a gift of magic since he was a little boy. One day, out of nowhere, he made his brother disappear with magic he had no control over. Having a fear of their child for two years, the parents had no other choice but to send their eldest son to magic camp, a place up in Lake Lilac to teach him how to control his special abilities. A few days after the parents registered Harrison for camp, a school-bus labeled Camp Campbell on the side pulled up in front of the house. "Bus is here." Said an old man after the bus doors opened. "Thank the lord!" Said the parents quietly in unison. "It's okay, Mom and Dad," Harrison replied, startling his parents. "I know you just want to send me away to magic camp so I can control my newly discovered power, and to bring back my brother." He walked out to the bus and waved to his parents as they just ran into hiding until their "cursed son" was gone.
Harrison wanted to know more about his power just as much as his parents did. About two hours later, the bus was driving into the woods of Lake Lilac, almost very similar to the Gravity Falls Forest. The bus driver was pulling up to a large cabin and he was about to hit a tall man, who looked like a camp counselor. "Wait, watch out!" Harrison exclaimed as the bus driver hits the man without a care. "Magic kid's here." Said the bus driver as he opened the doors for Harrison. He hopped out of the bus to check on the man. "Holy shit!" Harrison exclaimed. "Are you okay?" The man stands up with a smile on his face as if nothing happened. "Well, you must be Harrison, I am David, your camp counselor this summer." The man said. "How are you not dead?" He asked David. "I've been pretty indestructible when it comes to the Quartermaster driving the bus." David replied. Looking at his surroundings, Harrison thought this must've been a mixup. "So, this is magic camp?" He asked. Suddenly, a few guitar chords were played and David was about to sing.
Ohhhh
There's a place I know that's tucked away
A place where you and I can stay
Where we can go to laugh and play
And have adventures every day
I know it sounds hard to believe
But guys and gals it's true
Camp Campbell is the place for me and you
We'll swim through lakes and climb up trees
Catch fish, bug, bears, and honeybees
There's endless possibilities
And no, that's not hyperbole
Our motto's "Campe Diem"
And that means I'm telling you
We've got archery, hiking, search and rescue, biking, horseback, training that'll save you from a heart attack, scuba diving, miming, keeping up with rhyming, football, limbo, science, stunting, pre-calc, spaceships, treasure hunting, bomb defusal, no refusal, fantasy, circus trapeze, and fights, and ghosts, and paints, and snakes, and knives, and chess, and dance, and weights, it's Camp Camp!
"So what you're saying is this is some sort of camp camp?" Harrison asked. "I guess you can say that." David replied. Suddenly, a kid about the same age as Harrison walked toward David with two skunks in his hands. The kid had jet black curly hair and wore a blue two toned hoodie. "Who the fuck is that David?" He asked. "Whoa, watch your language, Max, this is Harrison, one of the new campers." David said. Harrison held out his hand to Max. "Are you here for magic camp?" He asked Max. "Hell, no, I'm here because my parents don't give a fuck about me." Max replied, leaving Harrison hanging. "Wow that's sad." Harrison said. "I know how you feel, my parents haven't hugged me in two years because of these powers I have." "You actually think you can learn how to control your "totally real" superpowers at this shitty summer camp?" Max asked. "This whole camp is just a hoax!" "Welp, time for me to pick up a science nerd and an adventure girl." Said the Quartermaster as he got in the bus and drove off. "Well, Harrison, looks like it's time for me and my co-counselor, Gwen to give you the tour of Camp Campbell and all of the information about all the fun activities we have planned for the summer." David smiled, leading him to the mess hall. "So, is their any other campers here for magic camp?" Harrison asked. "Well sort of," David replied. "There's this one girl named Nerris, she is a dungeon master."
So that is the first chapter of my new story. I just wanted to point out though that Nerris is gonna be in the story, but I don't know a lot about D and D, so I'll try my best to get her in the story as much as I can. -Mal
