A/N: Little context here, when I first got into writing fanfiction, I created My Harry Potter Universe that was pretty much canon just with Harry and Ginny getting together at the Yule Ball and Voldemort getting defeated at the end of Harry's fifth year. I eventually got bored of that and went on to other things but I still have these Daily Prophet articles I wrote for the stories. So here they are. Hope you enjoy.
HARRY POTTER DEFEATS HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED!.

On the morning of may 2nd, the dark wizard known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named or Tom Riddle, as his real name actually is, (to see the history of the dark lord, go to page 3) was killed, via killing curse, by Mr. Harry James Potter. Mr. Potter, only aged 15, has, of course, been branded a liar by the ministry for the past year for believing that You-Know-Who had returned. as it turns out he was telling the truth, us at the daily prophet would like to formally apologize to Mr. Potter for some of the articles that we have printed over the past year, we were forced too by Minister Cornelius Fudge himself (to see how Fudge has been corrupting our government, go to page 12).
Mr Potter, along with his friends, which include pure-bloods Ronald and Ginevra Weasley, Muggle-born Hermione Granger, Pure-Blood Luna Lovegood, the daughter of Quibbler Founder and Editor Xenophilius Lovegood and Pure-Blood Neville Longbottom, son of Auror's Frank and Alice who were tragically driven insane by Death-eaters, where involved in a break-in at the department of mysteries on may 1st before hearing the news, reportedly by Albus Dumbledore himself (to read about how Dumbledore fooled us all and his true allegiances to Harry Potter, go to page 7), that You-Know-Who had taken over Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Potter, along with his friends (known as Dumbledore's army) and the Order of the Phoenix (Dumbledore's Secret organization to stop You-know-who) arrived at Hogwarts on the morning of may, 2nd.
The fighting started very quickly. During the battle, Neville Longbottom killed a snake owned by the dark lord, with what eyewitnesses are saying is the sword of Gryffindor, shortly before killing Death-eater Bellatrix Lestrange. Unfortunately, not everyone on the light side was spared. young first-year Nigel Wolpert was killed by Death-eater Corben Yaxley using a cutting curse. Potter, who had not been seen in the battle as of yet, appeared out of nowhere, rumors are that an invisibility cloak was in use, before screaming "you can try and kill me as much as you like" his voice was very angry and loud "but lay one hand on another one of my friends and hell won't even want you". He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named laughed in potters face before asking "and who do you think you are". Potter slipped the hood he had been wearing off before saying, and we had to censor one of the words used by Mr. Potter: "I'm Harry Potter, B****".
The two, extremely powerful wizards, dueled after that before Potter used the unforgivable curse on the Dark Lord. You-Know-Who fell to the ground, he was dead. Many Death-eaters were arrested that day, most surprisingly was that of Lucius Malfoy, respected member of the ministry community (to see who else has been a secret follower of the dark lord, read page 5) and that Severus Snape, a defector from the first war, had been a spy in the Dark Lords ranks, rumor has it he was his second in command, for Dumbledore. The current Potions master and head of Slytherin house have testified against all his fellow Death-eaters and, according to Kingsley Shacklebolt, acting minister for magic, almost all of You-Know-Who's followers have been arrested and sent to Azkaban.
Harry Potter and his friends were found hours later burning the body of the dark lord. Potter stood alone staring into the blazing fire that would turn the body of his longest enemy to ash whilst his friends stood vigil from afar. Potter was called by his girlfriend, Ginevra Weasley (to see the facts of Harry Potter's love life, see page 10, for Rita Skeeters article), and Potter turned his hardened face, allowing my photographer to capture the image you see on the front page of this Potter filled issue of the Daily Prophet.
As for rewards, Potter and his five friends have been given Orders of Merlin first class, along with many others who fought in the battle of Hogwarts. as well, due to my contacts, they are rumors that all six of Dumbledore's army leaders will get their own Chocolate frog card at the end of the month, if not year. in a twist of events, it was also revealed that war hero Peter Pettigrew was, in fact, alive and a follower of the Dark Lord who framed the supposed madman Sirius black for his crimes. Pettigrew's trial was the first of the death-eaters and he was convicted of many crime whilst Black was pardoned and declared a free man.
As for Harry Potter, our new savior has flat out refused to comment to any newspaper, with good reason for the way he was treated last year, but his Head of House and Hogwarts professor Minerva McGonagall had this to say on the matter: "Mr. Potter wishes to live the rest of his life in relative peace" said the stern Headmaster, days after the final battle: "he wishes to continue his education and will certainly get his wish of becoming an Auror upon Graduation". as Professor McGonagall said Mr. Potter wants to become an Auror after he Graduates Hogwarts. We have no doubt that he will indeed get his wish and we here at the daily prophet give our luck to Harry Potter. Let us all hope he has a long and full life.

THE STORY OF TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE.

As we all know on may 2nd Harry Potter defeated the dark wizard known as Lord Voldemort (or more commonly He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named in fear). but not many people know of the name he was called at birth. yes, that's right, the dark lord's real name was Tom Marvolo Riddle. It comes as an even greater surprise that the Supposed Lord of Darkness, a man who preached about the purest of blood was actually a half-blood. Tom Riddle was the son of a Muggle man and a Witch mother, their names remain a mystery. he was orphaned right after birth and was left in an orphanage before getting his Hogwarts letter from Dumbledore himself (though the headmaster was only the Transfiguration professor at the time).
He was, unsurprisingly sorted into Slytherin house, and was apparently the perfect student. of course that was not true since in his sixth year he, not current Hogwarts Gameskeeper and Care for Magical creatures Professor Rubeus Hagrid, who was accused of the crime and expelled for it, opened the chamber of secrets and let out Salazar Slytherins monster (rumoured to be a large snake known only as a basilisk) that ended the life of Third-year student Myrtle Warren, who still haunts the bathroom she was killed in. in recent years the chamber was opened once again by Harry Potters own Girlfriend and the daughter of misuse of muggle artifacts office head Arthur Weasley, Ginevra Weasley, Although this time it was not Miss Weasley's fault but was on means of possession by Lord Voldemort himself.
After Graduation Riddle disappeared for years after becoming a salesman at the rather below his talents dark arts shop of Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn ally. he, of course, returned at the "fabled" Lord Voldemort and the first Wizarding war started but ended the night Harry Potter became the Boy-Who-Lived. and the rest is history. I for one are glad Potter has gotten rid of this foul man and avenged the death of his parents. im sure, wherever they are, they are very proud of their son. I wrote the obituary of James and Lily Potter back in 1981 but I'll say it again: "rest in peace, Mr. and Mrs. Potter".

HOW CORNELIUS FUDGE HAS BEEN CORRUPTING OUR GOVERNMENT.

Only days after Harry Potter, 15, defeated the dark wizard He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, our then current minister for magic was called out for his acts of not believing Potter that the Dark Lord had returned. He tried to defend his actions: "you've got to see it from my point of view" Fudge rambled: "He was only fourteen at the time and Dumbledore never believed him". Minister Fudge was reminded of the fact that Albus Dumbledore had, in fact, been working with Potter for the last year whilst pretending he had no support for the Fifteen-year-old to keep his connections in the ministry intact.
Fudge was called before a full Wizengamot to determine if he should be replaced or not. During his trial he was given Truth potion and revealed he had been taking bribes from Lucius Malfoy since 1985. he was arrested after his trail and sent to Azkaban for taking bribes. this intern added one more crime to the already large conviction to Lucius Malfoys sentence. Cornelius Fudge was replaced by now acting minister Kingsley Shacklebolt, a trusted friend of Albus Dumbledores. Minister Shacklebolt had this to say: "during my reign as Minister I will drive to make our world a better and fairer place for us to live in". I, as a Muggle-born, hope this statement will come true in the Wizarding world.
Fudge was also called out for placing Death-eater (albeit unknown to anyone, including Fudge) Dolores Umbridge as Defence against the dark arts Professor and Hogwarts High Inquisitor at the said school. she, herself, has been arrested for crimes against Muggle-Borns and half-breeds as a Follower of You-Know-Who and has been sent to Azkaban.

THE TRUE ALLEGIANCES OF ALBUS DUMBLEDORE.

Albus Dumbledore has stepped forth to reveal that he was, in fact, helping Harry Potter for the past year in secret. it was something he and Potter discussed that Dumbledore's place in our society would be very valid to Potters cause to Defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Dumbledore has, to the public, not supported Harry Potter that the Dark Lord had returned but was quoted as saying things like: "I hope Mr. Potter will get better" or "Lord V******** has not returned".
Albus Dumbledore has also revealed the fact that he and Mr. Potter are actually good friends and enjoy each other's company even after the war. It is also rumored that the headmaster and student are on a first name basis. not only has Dumbledore been secretly helping Potter but has been more active in the war effort then we thought. he had, in fact, set up a secret organization called the order of the Phoenix that included many of his friends and Hogwarts colleagues. the framed Murderer Sirius Black was also a member of this group.

LUCIUS MALFOY AND OTHER MINISTRY OFFICIALS ARRESTED AS DEATH-EATERS!.

Harry Potter defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on May, 2nd but no one can forget about all the death-eaters that were rounded up and thrown in Azkaban with the key tossed away. there were many surprises when the list of dark wizards reached our offices here at the daily prophet. first off was respected Ministry official Lucius Malfoy. The Malfoy family have been at the front of the ministry since its creation and Lucius Malfoy was known for his friendship with Cornelius Fudge, of course, we have found out that our old minister had been taking bribes from the elder Malfoy. Lucius's son and heir Draco has not been seen since the final battle and it is heavily rumored he is hold up in Malfoy Manor with mother Narcissa.
Other convicted Death-eaters are Corban Yaxley, head of the Hit-Squad, Jack Butler, member of the Department of Mysteries, Auror siblings Amycus and Alecto Carrow and of course head of the Department of Magical Law enforcement Pius Thicknesse, who has been replaced by Rufus Scrimgeour. Gawain Robards has replaced Scrimgeour as Head of the Auror Office. of course, they are many Death-eaters that escaped and are on the run. these include the werewolf Fenrir Greyback, Rabastian Lestrange, Walden Macnair, Stan Shunpike and Augustus Rookwood.
The ministry, now headed by Kingsley Shacklebolt, has issued a warning not to approach any of the aforementioned Death-eaters. any information on the whereabouts of these fugitives will be greatly rewarded.

THE BOY-WHO-LIVED AND HIS LOVE LIFE.

Harry Potter is, of course, famous. he has been at a level of fame since he was just one year old but now that he has defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named his fame grew higher and higher. so it makes perfect sense that we here at the daily prophet and other, below average, newspapers and magazines will want to know the details of Mr. Potters personal life. I had the pleasure of interviewing Potter during his stint as a Triwizard champion. he told me that he was still grieving for the death of his parents and desperately wanted love. at the time I thought that Mr. Potter had found that love in his young friend Hermione Granger. but I was deeply mistaken (we all make mistakes, don't we?).
As it turns out Mr. Potter was not enthralled by Miss Granger's advances but was actually in love with his best mates little sister Ginevra Weasley. What does Ronald think of the relationship, who knows?. Like his father, before him, Mr. Potter has seemed to be one for the redheads. he was seen escorting Miss Weasley to the Yule Ball. A fight broke out between Potter and Mr. Ronald Weasley, who had apparently deserted Potter after his name came out of the fabled Goblet of fire after the latter caught Potter and his sister groping Each other whilst they Snogged to high heaven.
Although it seems that both Potter and Weasley have become friends again but that could just be for public appearances. as for Miss Granger, she was seduced away from our savior from the muscle Viktor Krum, although their relationship seems to of come to a close. I have seen Mr. Potter and His girlfriend Ginevra myself and there is no doubt they are serious and a very passionate couple. perhaps, as I said in my article at the time, that they have escalated their relationship further than just the snogging that Ginevra's brother caught them in? they are, I might add, only 15 and 14 respectively, but if they're having fun, why should we stop them?.
I, personally, wish Potter and, hopefully, his future wife all the luck in the world. but only time will tell us what happens to the boy-who-lived's love life.
