Elsa stared into the ceiling with a grim expression of pain as she awaited for her sister to wake from slumber. Her sister was sleeping soundly on top of her. Both girls were wearing nothing underneath the sheets.

She lost count of how long she'd suffered this throbbing headache. Hours? Days? Weeks? To anyone else, the pain would have been maddening, but alas, she had suffered much greater misery than this to complain.

And she knew damn well how it all started.

It had been approximately almost a six months after her heartwarming, albeit scandalous wedding with Anna. Two weeks after that, Elsa had received a twisted wedding gift from The Southern Isles and Weselton, letters filled with foul words directed toward her and her Anna, denouncing them as "sinful, incestuous whores." But the greatest "insult" if you can call it that, was both countires cutting trade, not knowing that it was them that needed Arendelle as The Southern Isles had little natural resources and Weselton was on a brink of financial collapse.

And the best part of all this, Their Cousin, Queen Rapunzel strengthen her Kingdom's military, and so far Corona, Dunbroch, and a lot of other kingdoms have vowed support to Arendelle, it's a good thing too since Arendelle really didn't have a big standing army.

That's what scares her, war between Arendelle and her allies against The Southern Isles and Weselton, sure Elsa has her powers but the thought of killing people with them, its just too much for her, she is not a weapon.

She sighed and cradled Anna close to her heart, as if she was attempting to shield her from some unseen foe. "It's going to be alright Anna... As long as I'm here and I can fight, it's going to be alright..." she whispered to her, her voice soft and gentle.

Anna abruptly stirred in her arms. Immediately, Elsa hid the pain behind a warm smile. "Rise and shine my love," she cooed to the waking redhead.

Anna lazily angled her head up. She was smiling warmly at her. "Good morning Elsa," she croaked.

Elsa gave her a brief peck on her lips. "What have you dreamt of, my love?"

She always asked Anna what she had dreamed of every morning. Although Elsa hasn't had any nightmares of that faithful she hurt her sister when they were kids, there are still rare occasions when she broke their slumber with either crying or screaming. They however, were becoming more and more rare, Anna was always there for her when she had those haunting nightmares of the past.

"I dreamt of you and me..." Anna answered, her voice trailing off.

"Was that it?"

Anna shook her head. "There wasn't anything bad if that's what you're thinking. In fact, I'd say it was a rather good dream. One of the best dreams I've had in forever.."

Elsa's worry decreased drastically. She might even know what her sister might have dreamt of. "Oh so it's one of those?"

"Not one those silly, but the dream was still good. Elsa, I dreamt that we were raising a child together."

The blonde's train of thought came to a halt. "What?" she said flatly.

"You heard me right, Elsa," Anna said. "I dreamt that we were raising a child. A little boy to be more precise. And he was the most darling thing ever, since he reminded me so much of us, like a boy version of us" Anna paused briefly only to giggle at what she just said. "I think he looks more like a boy version of me than of you Elsa."

Elsa laughed. "What are you suggesting?"

"Well..." Anna locked eyes with her. "I want a child, Elsa."

The Ice Queen kept silent. True, a part of Elsa always had wondered what it would be like to raise a child with Anna. There was more than enough room in the castle to raise one, by Odin they could raise 10 of them and there still would be enough space. She'd prefer asking the trolls in seeing whether or not they could use some ancient magic to allow her and Anna to have a child together, but she and Anna have read accounts and documents on children born of incest, needless to say that the risks are too big, Anna agreed that its like flipping a coin, their child could be born a healthy lad or be born with health problems and risks, and for them the risks of them having a biological child only for it to be born sickly was too great, Elsa doesn't even know if the ancient magic or her magic could negate the negative effects, adoption was the only option they had, it was safer and there are plenty of orphans in Arendelle's Orphanage, those poor children always need a home.

Elsa began to think of The consequences of the news of taking in an orphan would have been great, The Council would no doubt have a small yet loud councilmen opposing the idea of making an adopted child heir to the throne, but those men can go jump off a cliff, plus the citizens of Arendelle would support the idea.

"So can we - "

"Yes."

Excitment lit all over Anna's face, and Elsa immediately could feel the sheer amount of joy that her sister was displaying, She adore seeing her sister so happy. "I said yes Anna. " she repeated only adding to Anna's happiness. "Yes, we can have a child. In fact, we can have a child soon if you'd like."

Her sister's eyes were fill with such joy. "Yay! Ooo, I can't wait to adopt a boy, I've seen some of them playing outside the orphanage and they're just so precious, If not a bit rowdy but you know how boys are Elsa. Oh I can't wait to teach him how to use bow, axe throwing, and archery!"

A miniscule part of Elsa's heart was dejected that her sister would rather prefer adoption rather than go to the trolls and ask if they can help with magical conception. But then again, adoption was a good thing, less risky but sadly a bit more scandalous with some of Arendelle's nobles, but it was also quicker than waiting nine months, and safer than having a child be born only to be too sickly.

"Alright then Anna, we'll go as soon as we can. And we'll adopt any boy you want from the Orphanage." Elsa said as she embraced her sister.

"Thank you Elsa." She said as she continued to warmly embrace her sister, she can just picture the fun they'll going to have with their adopted son, so much fun.

How hard could it be to raise a boy?

One Week Later

"It looks great on you!" Anna assured as she placed the final touches on the dress Elsa was wearing.

Elsa stared at the mirror. Her sister had insisted that she wear something similar to what their mother wore instead of her usual ice gown or armor. And as Fate would have it, Anna happpened to find a dress in the castle attic that happened to fit her just right. It was the exact same color too, even down to the color of the skirt.

The Ice Queen observed herself intently. She hated to admit it, but sister was right. She does look great in her mother's clothes. "I still can't believe you found one that fits," Elsa laughed.

Anna chuckled lightly before she placed her hands around Elsa's waist and rested her head against Elsa. She in turn, was wearing a beige gown with kitten heels and her bun with a piece of wheat stuck in it and wears a lime green long sleeve gown "We're going to be parents soon!" she sighed, her voice filled with excitement and hope.

Just hearing her sister, being so happy and upbeat, always put a smile on Elsa's face. She smiled at the mirror and placed her hands on Anna's hips. In fact, she even shared Anna's excitement. "I know we're going to make great parents..." Elsa said softly.

In truth Elsa would be lying if she wasn't a bit nervous, raising a child is going to be a challenging journey but she has Anna by her side and Anna would be the perfect mother. Elsa always thought that Anna would be more of 'father' figure, she did have a liking to things that would be 'unlady' like sword training, riding a bike around the halls, and talking to paintings, but in the end it doesnt even matter, all that matters is that this boy will have 2 loving parents.

The royal couple soon left the castle to head for Arendelle's Orphanage. As they made their way to the orphanage, they were greeted by the citizenry. Majority of the people gave them a light bow as they passed, while some - the farmers and fishermen - merely tipped their hats instead. It was as if the things were going on as normal. The autumn breeze bringing life to this day.

The Kingdom of Arendelle have always been supportive of The sisters marriage to each other, a lot of the commoners say they rather see the Princess and the Queen be married to each other than to a foreigner that can't be trusted, they all saw how that treacherous Weselton Duke attempted to have Queen Elsa assassinated and how that bastatd Southern Prince almost killed Their Queen and lied about Princess Anna being killed by her.

The thought that wouldn't leave Elsa's mind was how some of the councilmen of the Royal Court is going to react to this, some of these are so stuck up on traditions.

Elsa was so caught up in politics, she would have walked right into a pole if Anna hadn't pulled her away in time. "Whoa, watch it Elsa! Don't want you to ruin the dress before we meet our son!" Anna giggled.

Soon enough, they arrived at the orphanage. It wasn't hard to miss the building since the sisters could hear the sounds of children laughter. The two-story church/school-like building was located in the southern outskirts of the city, where it stood upon a small hill overlooking the castle and fjord.

There was a caregiver outside, observing the children as they played on the hill. When they saw the sisters, all of the children present dropped their toys and ran towards them.

"The Queen's here! The Queen's here!" they all cheered as they gathered around the two.

"Awwww! Aren't the adorable?" Anna cooed as she picked up one of the children. She pinched the little girl's cheeks before giving her a kiss on her forehead and placing her back down.

The caretaker approached them, she wasn't old maybe like 5 years older than Elsa, she had a big smile as she got close to the 2 sisters. "Greetings your Majesties" she said cheerfully. "I'm guessing you two are here to adopt?"

It might have only been in Elsa's head but the she couldn't help but think that the caregiver was a bit too cheerful, then again working with children must take a toll. Nonetheless, Elsa reached in her pocket and took out a scroll. Anna and her had to fill out some compulsory paperwork and pay a hefty sum at first, but The Orphanage quickly processed the files as soon as they were done. At first the Orphanage refuse to take payment but Elsa insisted on paying a large sum for the Orphanage. Sadly though, they were only allowed to take one child, well maybe start with one and than maybe adopt another one...or two.

"Yes we are," Elsa said with a smile as she opened the scroll. She scanned the paper for their son's name. "Alright, which one of you is Akar?"

Surprisingly, all of the children raised their hands, even the girls. Anna giggled and ruffled a few of the children's heads playfully. "Oh, I wish I could take you all in!"

"It would nice of your Majesty, but sadly you'll put us out of business." The caregiver gave a small smirk at her Queen's big heart.

Anna turned to the caregiver and smiled, "We have more than enough room back at the caslte ma'am."

"Well sadly it's just one child per couple, but I think I can make an exception for the Queen." The caregiver said with a small laugh

Elsa was just smiling, Anna would sure want a lot of children, sure he castle had a lot of space but right now they need to get back on schedule. "No need my good lady, I'm sure this one will be enough, after all there are others who wish to have children," she said sweetly.

The caregiver just returned her smile with her own. Elsa could tell the caregiver has nothing against her and Anna, the caregiver didnt even care of their taboo love for each other. But alas, a small albeit loud minority will always be vocal against hers and Anna's love for each other. "Now where is this Akar? Surely he should know that his mothers are here for him" Elsa sighed, hopefully he didn't get cold feet...she mentally slapped herself for that pun.

The caregiver turned her head towards the orphanage, and with a loud but calm voice, called for Elsa and Anna's son. "Akar! Your parents are here!"

No response.

"Akar!" the women called out again. Elsa glanced down and noticed that her hands were fidgety at her sides. "Wait here for a minute while I get the boy..."

She then walked off quickly. Everything fell quiet, just the distant songs of the birds to fill the afternoon. Thankfully, Anna was able to defuse the awkward silence. "So are you going to miss Akar once he's gone?" Anna asked one of the children.

The children looks to her and Anna could have sworn thay the children seemed almost...relieved to have him leaving.

"I can't say I'll miss him but I think it's good he finally gets to have parents again." One girl said amongst the group.

Anna knelt down to see them at their level. "Why? Did something happen to him? Did he ever talk about his past?" She asked hoping to get some answers on who their son is.

The same little girl replied. "He was found near the Black Mountain by the guards 3 years ago, his parents were never found."

Both sisters were caught off guard by what the little girl said, the Black Mountain was an area that was close to The North Mountain, but unlike the North Mountain which was filled with snow, the Black Mountain was filled with forest, and of course the legends of monsters in those forests, Elsa thought it was all superstitious and nonsense but no hunter or adventurer would go into those forests, even the guards stay clear of that area.

Before Elsa or Anna could ask anymore questions, the caregiver returned outside with a small figure in tow. "Here he is! Akar!"

Elsa's eyes widen when she saw the boy. Akar had a small scar across his face almost like that of a wild animal, maybe his parents were lost to an animal attack, wolves and bears were a consistent problem in her Kingdom.

She continued to study her son from his height, Elsa made a guess that Akar was secen years old, maybe eight. In the boy's hands was a stuffed wolf toy, and his eyes were an amber color, almost like those if a wolf.

Anna gasped and turned Elsa to face her. "He's just like the boy I saw in my dream," she whispered excitedly. The Queen raised an eyebrow, but she couldn't help but wonder if the gods we're once again messing with them.

The caregiver gestured for the children to part for Elsa and Anna to give them space, and the royal sisters approached the shy little boy. Akar looked up, his eyes amber eyes meeting his new mother's Ice sapphire eyes, clutching his toy close to him.

"We're your new parents!" the sisters greeted in chorus. Akar waved shyly at them, but still couldn't find the words to say to his new mothers.

Elsa approached Akar first and knelt down to his level. "I'm Queen Elsa... I'm going to be your new mother..."

Anna then knelt down beside her wife, "Hello little one," Anna cooed gently. "I'm Princess Anna and I'm also going to be your mother..."

The little boy looked up at them, a cute smile on his lips. "If you're also going to be my mama," he pointed at Elsa, "Shouldn't you be my papa then?" He then pointed his finger to Anna, the boy was confused on this, if Queen Elsa was his mother than is Princess Anna his mother as well?

There were a few giggles around, and Queen of Arendelle blushed crimson, but she couldn't help but laugh along as well. "Well, your the closest thing to a father figure Anna, I mean you do act like father sometimes." Elsa chuckled.

Anna took the little boy in her arms, his hand not letting go of his wolf stuffed toy. "What do you want to do when we go to our home? See the painting room? Want to use a bow? Or maybe learn how to use a sword?"

Akar smiled at them, his shyness melting away like a snowflake in the summer "Can we build a snowman?" he asked softly.

"Hm, ask your mothe- I mean, 'Father,' that!" Elsa chuckled. She then smiled at Anna. "Well Anna? Do you want to build a snowman?" she sung softly.

A smile crept in Anna's face when she heard her. "Yes, I want to build a snowman..." Anna sung back, a few tears streaming down her face, and she stood up and embraced her wife and their new son.

And from then on forth, Elsa knew she wasn't going to regret adopting Akar, now starts a new journey on their lives and his life.

AN: This is was suppose to be a One-shot but I'm thinking of making this a full fledged story, Co-Author may be needed as I'm not well versed in Politics or anything political, this story takes place 5 months prior to the first film so right near the start of Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

Constructive criticism is welcomed and stay safe everyone.
