The dark-fur lion stepped into the den with heavy steps, his dark eyes were angry and watched the creamy-fur lioness with suspicion. His mane, dark as night was untidy, looked like he had just come out of battle, his pink heart-shaped snout was scratched.

The lioness recently observed her companion approaching her, her paws covered and further protected the newborn every step her partner took towards her, she felt that something was wrong. The small cub in its paws stirred just before going back to sleep, unaware that it could be brutally murdered in the presence of that lion.

- I can explain...- She tried to argue with desperation in his words, she did not know how to defend herself against her mate in this situation.

A growl came from the lion's throat as he got closer, his dark claws were out and scraped on the rocky floor. She knew it was a warning to be silent, never speak before the king.

- Explain what? That you slept with another lion and tried to trick your pharaoh?!- The lion questioned angrily in his words, as he stood in front of the lioness, he observed how she would not let him see the newborn.

- Beloved, this is not what you think! I'm sure it's yours! - She quickly denied it, she was not crazy about mating with a lion other than her pharaoh, she had known the great king since she was a cub and knew the price to pay for infidelity.

The lion walked around the den again, circling the lioness in the hope that she would give up lying and tell him the whole truth at that moment. But this act only made the lioness more apprehensive, making her shrink more.

- Amara, you have been away from me since your sister had a baby of mine and now the council accuses you of adultery. I don't think my loyal servants would lie to me, especially my other wife and brother.- The pharaoh explained coldly, while surrounding his other companion with suspicion.

Amara, realizing that her sister's threat was real, remembered that there were some strategies she could use against her sister to protect herself from the accusations. One of them was her son in her paws, the council would not touch her while she was the mother of one of Pharaoh's youngsters.

- My beloved, I left because I did not want to intervene in your time with your son and I did not feel well. I was too weak to stay out of the den, I couldn't sleep well or eat before giving birth.- Amara stated firmly, if she wanted to leave saved she had to convince her king of her innocence.

The pharaoh stopped right in front of the cream-colored lioness, his eyes narrowed as he watched the submissive posture of the mother lioness. Amara had always been faithful to him, but even the most faithful could become a traitor if tried properly.

- I heard that Asha and other lionesses brought you some leftovers from the last hunt, Amara. I hope this hasn't affected the cub, if it is my son it has to be strong.- The King commented harshly in his words, perhaps the accusations of his other wife were paranoia, Amara was the kindest lioness he will ever meet.

The lioness just nodded her head while watching her king staring at her paws with interest, he was waiting to see his youngest son.

Her paws opened a little, revealing a cream-colored newborn as well as his mother's, its snout was heart-shaped with a dark color and its ears were black in outline. Like his mother, his cheeks had furry hairs that attracted attention and his tufted hair was black just like his father's.

The lion approached the face of the small cub and sniffed it with a deep sniff, the smell of the small cub was the same as that of the older lion and that saved him. A smile opened on the king's lips with pride, his partner had not betrayed him in the end.

The great lion rubbed his face against his companion's plush cheek as a form of reward for lying faithful to him, his dark eyes watching his son sleeping restlessly on his mother's paws.

The sun was going down during the orange afternoon, the winds swayed the yellow pastures by the plain near the rising rocks. Pieces of animal bones were scattered across the rock, some lionesses were resting on the rocks and others gnawing at the dry bones of some past hunts.

The cream-colored lioness slowly approached the high pasture, her amestist-colored eyes watched her hunting sisters rest carefree and alleys to the future conflicts that awaited them. At the beginning of the cliff, a lioness with yellowish golden fur was digging a bony carcass and her brown eyes were full of anger, the lioness seemed in her worst mood.

The creamy lioness leaves the pasture in silence, watching the yellowed lioness turn their attention to her as she hears footsteps towards her. The yellowed lioness watches with surprise in her expression the other lioness approaching, as if she did not expect to see her there, but decided to approach and rub her head against the creamy lioness.

- Asha.- She greeted the creamy lioness with a warm smile, it was a long time since she met her friend.

- Amara.- Greeted Asha with a smug smile, typical of a convinced lioness like her.

Amara climbed the rock in silence while she was followed by the yellowed lioness, her head was down and her eyes were full of hidden concern. She managed to see on one of the rocks of the rock, a group formed by four lionesses with some young ones resting in the shade of the trees that tried to invade the rock.

One of the lionesses with albino hair noticed the approach of Amara and Asha, so she got up quickly to greet her old friend. This act alerted the group to the presence of the youngest mother, the oils rose and left the confused cubs behind.
