A/N: I hope you like this first attempt I'm doing at a JCA version of The Order of the Phoenix. My favorite JCA season had to be season four because of the whole Shadowkahn storyline. And I always wondered why Tarkaudo hasn't tried to turn Jade back into the Queen of Shadowkhan. I've decided to fuse that season's storyline, and the story of Harry Potter 5, and see if they would work. Please review each chapter. I crave your opinions. This will take place after 'Deja Vu', and before 'Ninja Twilight'. Thank you, and enjoy.
It was a rainy day in the city of San Francisco, and at the Dark Hand lair, Ratso, Finn, Chao, and Hak Foo were all pacing around the room, wondering what their latest boss, Tarakudo, the king of the Shadowkahn, was going to do to them for failing to retrieve most of the Oni Masks. They tried to retrieve eight of the nine masks that summon nine different tribes of Shadowkahn, and everytime, archaeologist Jackie Chan, his niece Jade Chan, his elderly uncle Uncle, and his friend and former enemy Tohru, have took off each mask from the hosts face using a different mask removal spell from a different Japanese ingredient. Each of their failures had made Tarakudo upset. Now, they had no idea how their magical floating head boss would react this time.
"Maybe we should have stayed in prison with Daolon Wong." Finn said, shuddering. "Would have been better than going on a magic hunt every year or so."
"Hey, we did our best. And we all had fun with our masks when we had them." Ratso said with a hopeful smile before turning to Hak Foo. "Right, Hak Foo?"
The red haired henchmen glared at Ratso with angry eyes, making him step back a bit. "This has been the most humiliating year of my life!" Hak Foo yelled. "If I ever see Chan again-"
"Easy big guy." Chao said, trying to calm him down. "Let's just worry about how T is going to lay waste to all of us for our recent failure. Honestly, we would have had that mask if it wasn't for Chan's kid and V."
"Look, this isn't worth it. Why don't we just call it quits with the whole magic gig?" Finn asked. "No more working for forces of darkness. No more magic hunts ever. We'll just try to make some money by doing odd jobs. And maybe steal something every once in awhile."
"Sounds good to me." Ratso smiled.
"Count me in." Finn grinned.
"Fine! As long as I don't have to see Chan's face again!" Hak Foo said. Just then, Tarkudo popped from behind a wall, scaring the Enforcers. He then floated around his henchmen with an arched eye brow.
"How are my henchmen doing this evening?" Tarakudo asked.
"We're not your henchmen anymore." Finn said, trying to put on a brave face. "We had a vote and-"
"You're quitting." Tarakudo finished, much to Finn's shock. "I know. The walls have ears you know."
"Look, nothing personal, but we're tired being bossed around magical creeps!" Finn said, making Tarkaudo glare at him menacingly. "Really, no offense."
"We're tired of being beaten by Chan and his team!" Hak Foo spat.
"And we're tired of not being paid." Ratso added, making Tarakudo grin.
"Oh, so it's money you want?" Tarakudo asked, using his powers to make a chest appear. "Go ahead. Take a look." Unsure what to make of this, the Enforcers took a look inside the chest. Their mouths dropped over seeing gold, diamonds, rubies, silver, and cash inside of it. The value of all of that had to be at least 10 million dollars.
"I don't believe it!" Finn said with a smile.
"Look at all that loot!" Chao added happily.
"Did you rob a pirate?" Ratso asked stupidly.
"There's plenty more where that came from." Tarkaudo said, making the chest disappear. "All you have to do is one last job. If you succeed, you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams." The Enforcers didn't know what to do. They wanted to be rich, but they were too tired of doing this magical mask hunt. "But if you quit too soon or don't succeed, you'll be...as you people now say it...fired."
He then used his powers to set the place aflame, frightening the Enforcers to new levels. "Okay! We'll stay!" The Enforcers screamed in unison. Anything was better than being cooked alive. Tarkudo smiled with himself, then used his powers to activate the sprinklers, allowing the water to put the flames out.
"So, where do we start?" Ratso asked with a smile.
"You will wait for instructions. I'll tell you when I need your assistance when the time is right." Tarkudo instructed. Turning his back for a minutes, Tarakudo used his magic to make a portal appear. "By later this month, not only will I cover the world in darkness and have my kingdom, but I will have my queen return to me." The portal revealed to be looking at...Jade Chan sleeping. "Sweet dreams child. It'll be the last sweet dream you'll ever have."
Next chapter, Jade goes through a normal day. But when they day reaches it's end and she falls asleep, she's overwhelmed by darkness in her dreams and comes across a forgotten enemy. Then, she wakes up in an unusual place.
