Breathe
As I look down at the schoolyard below me, I wonder why everyone else but me has a quirk. Why are they all special and forced to be a useless Deku? No matter what I do, I'll never be a hero. All Might said so himself, robbing me of the little hope I had. I couldn't hate the man for dashing my dream, doing what he perceives as in my best interest.
Tears stain my cheeks as I climb over the railing, ready to throw myself off the roof of the school. I fight back bitter tears, my fingers picking at the hem of my shirt. Why does everyone deserve the chance to become something special? Was I so weak and that god saw fight to punish me?
Kacchan, All Might, My teachers and all my classmates. They all think I am weak, worthless, not to be anything. I should just kill myself, end the suffering. Izuku Midoriya is nothing but a waste of space, why should I even bother with life anymore. Being bullied on a daily basis, the only time it stopped is when Katsuki made them. When he got his Quirk, it didn't take long for him to become the bully. But in my heart, I cannot hate anyone but myself, faulting myself over anyone
As I let go of the railing, about to take a step forward to my death. I feel a hand grab my shoulder. I freeze under the strong grip that pulls me back, it was not harsh but more comforting. Someone had come to save me from myself.
I am pulled back over the railing to safety, regret coursing through my mind. I can't believe I had just tried to end it all, what was I thinking. As I turn to thank my saviour, I feel the strong grip again. In a brief I moment, I go from standing to flat on my back in pain.
"Stupid Boy" A female voice scolds me
I look up at the woman, my eyes widening in shock. The woman who saved me is practically half naked, wearing nothing but stockings and a bikini. My face flushes red as I try to advert my eyes
"I…I'm sorry, I'd…don't m…. mean to l… look" I stutter
She sighs, whacking me over the head playfully. She extends her hand, helping me up from my prone position.
"Why did you try to kill yourself?" She asks, her Japanese sounding somewhat broken. Like somebody who is not totally familiar with the language.
"I…I'm Quirkless, a useless nobody. Everybody else has a power, except me" I explain "I'll never be a hero, not without a quirk"
"What is your name?" She asks, now sitting on the ground
"I…I'm Izuku Midoriya. N…Nice to meet you Mis…" I say
"My name is Trixjj, it means Quiet" She explains "Izuku, let me tell you a story about a true hero. A man who saved the world without a power"
"Who is this man?" I ask
"His name was Venom Snake; the boss of the mercenary group called The Diamond Dogs back in the 1980's" She explained "This man saved my life and the world.
"Tell me about him" I say, sitting across from her
Over the course of a few hours, Trixjj or Quiet as she is also known. She told me tales of the Venom Snake and the Diamond Dogs, stories that range from fighting walking mechanised nuke launchers to fighting a deadly parasite. Fighting all manner of groups, including the infamous soviet group Cipher.
I listen in total awe as she tells me story after story of heroism, sacrifice, war and death, showing off various scars and even a bag of diamonds made from the ashes of fallen soldiers, who died in the defence of the world. All these brave men and women who fought for what is right, despite having no quirk or powers of their own. All they had was a fire in their heart and a will to use it.
Her tales stop when the sun begins to set, making her green eyes almost glisten as if she is about weep at her own memories.
"You should go home, it's getting late" She says, standing up
She turns to leave when a thought pops into my mind. I call out to her, hoping to stop her from leaving
"Do you think I can be a hero like Venom Snake and the Diamond Dogs" I call out, making her freeze "Despite not having a quirk"
"Yes, you will become a hero. I will train you but for now you must go home a rest Little Diamond" She says, smiling at me as a huge smile forms on my face "Here, catch"
She throws a small diamond to me; a small note being attached to it. I look down at the note, reading it
Meet me a Dagobah Municipal Beach Park tomorrow if you want to be train. Don't forget to bring Big Boss with you (The diamond)
My eyes widen as I look up to the spot Quiet had once stood, now vacant as the mysterious woman has vanished. I look back down at the note and diamond, it finally clicking what she meant by Big Boss. The diamond I am holding was made from the ashes of Venom Snake himself.
I make my way home, deep in through as reread the note for the fourteenth time. I feel excitement bubble up in my veins, the thought of being a hero not like All Might but like the brave men and woman of the Diamond Dogs
"Welcome home Izuku, how was your day?" My mother says as I enter my home, pulling me out of my train of thought
"It was ok, but I have good new. I've found someone to train me to be a hero, my training begins tomorrow"
"That's amazing, you can tell me all about it at dinner. Go wash up" She says, turning back to making Katsudon, my favourite meal. It seems to be shaping up to be a good day
The night seems to pass slowly as I struggle to sleep, the stories that quiet had told me playing in my mind. He closes his eyes, excited for the next day. To show everyone his potential, to shine like a diamond dog he is.
A/N – Hey there everyone, my names Tamashi and I've come to invade this fandom like I've done to other fandoms. This was just a quick fic that, may or may not turn into a multiple chapter story. That depends on your feedback.
This will be rated T for now, although if I do continue it. It will be bumped up to an M rating.
I dunno if I am gonna have a pairing, I am open to suggestions.
You can leave your comments, question or criticism in a review or PM and I will address in the next chapter. So don't be afraid to tell me what you all think, I'm not gonna be mean or anything.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you next time. Ciao for now
