I was reading this article ( . ) yesterday about how TV writers would write their show if it had to do a coronavirus episode. I thought it was a great read and it got me thinking about how other shows or video games would deal with it. Eventually I decided to make one on the Persona 4 cast. For background this is basically an episode (or two) of Persona 4 The Animation taking place sometime after episode 17. My timeline may be a bit off but sufficient to say the party is fully assembled. Spoilers ahead for Persona 4 and sorry for spelling/grammar mistakes.

Yu Narukami: Unfortunately, even with the stay at home order Dojima is still working hard doing cop stuff leaving Yu and Nanako to try to find stuff to do. The two spend their days cleaning the house, cooking, watching TV, and going for walks. Nanako is worried her dad is going to get sick from working too hard, Yu reassures her that he will be fine. Late one night Yu is watching TV when he gets a phone call from the Inaba Municipal Hospital. Obviously, the hospital is running way above capacity and they need their trusty janitor. He heads off to work and sees Sayoko working hard she gives him a smile. Yu wishes he could find some way to do more than just clean. The next morning Nanako and Yu are taking their daily walk around town Yu notices an increase in people wearing surgical masks, but not just any masks these ones have unique designs (cat, skull, bunny, one based on Teddy,). Nanako (from a respectable distance) asks someone where they got their mask. The person answers that they are giving them out at the textiles store in the shopping district. Yu realizing this is Kanji takes Nanako to the shop. They find Kanji working feverously (heh) on masks. Yu is about to make a humorous if a bit mean spirited comment but before he can Kanji yells at him to either help out or get out. Nanako enthusiastically gets to work. Yu stands dumbfounded for a second and then gets to work. The kids work till the shop closes, Kanji's grandmother tries to give Yu and Nanako a bit of money, but they refuse, she eventually forces them to take home some dinner. Nanako is thrilled about the fun day she had and before Yu can agree his phone lights up with a text message.

Chie/Yukiko: The Virus order has not been very helpful for the Amagi Inn. A lot of staff had to call out sick, they can't accept new guest, and all the current guests are too afraid to leave the inn. Luckily Chie was hanging out at the inn when the stay at home order went out and has decided to help Yukiko run the place. The two are working through daily chores (Chie less gracefully) when they come across a scared little kid. The kid's Mom was recently taken to the hospital because she may have contracted the virus. The two do their best to comfort the kid but must get back to work. After their chores are done Chie and Yukiko decide to go back and take the kids mind off things. Yukiko shows him cool secrets and facts about the inn; Chie shows off some rad martial arts moves. Tired from his exciting day the kid goes to bed and the girls celebrate a job well done. Before they can get some well-deserved rest, their phones light up with a text message.

Yosuke/Teddy: Yosuke is spending his time listening to music and enjoying the break from work. Teddy is continually bothering Yosuke to do anything because he is beary bored. Eventually Yosuke relents and decides to bust out a board game for the two to play. Yosuke promises to play exactly one game. Surprisingly, Teddy thoroughly trounces Yosuke seemingly without even knowing what he was doing. Yosuke demands a rematch only to lose again. Another board game is chosen, and Yosuke collects another loss. Yosuke then challenges Teddy to a Guitar hero knock off and loses. Desperate for a win Yosuke continually challenges Teddy to different things (a foot race, cook off, and push up contest). Night has fallen and Yosuke is exhausted he tries to challenge Teddy to something ridiculous but before he can Teddy says I think it is time for bed I'm beary tired. He thanks Yosuke for a fun day and heads to bed. Yosuke smiles slightly and mumbles yeah whatever bear. Yosuke closes his eyes and you hear Teddy excitedly yell that he got a text.

Naoto/Dojima: As most of the police force has called in sick, he Inaba police call in Naoto Shirogane to help. Naoto is excited if a bit surprised. She arrives at the station expecting to be doing paperwork but is immediately paired up with Ryotaro Dojima (Adachi called in sick). The two get to work on the case. Dojima goes over the details and starts to brainstorm ideas. Naoto tries to suggest things but is still to nervous to say much. Eventually Dojima tells her he has seen her work before and that he thought she would have more to say. Naoto reveals her hesitancy stems from how she has been treated in the past. Dojima says her age or gender doesn't matter because at the end of the day it only matters that the case gets solved. He admits that he was a bit hesitant at first about her helping out but understands that she is brilliant and probably just the kind of help they need (probably has a cigarette in his mouth). Naoto is taken aback but thanks Dojima for what he says. The detectives then get back to it and work late into the night. Dojima drives Naoto home and they talk about Yu and Nanako. Dojima admits he should probably spend more time with them and the two part ways. Naoto smiles to herself and we hear a buzzing from her pocket.

Rise Kujikawa: Rise is mostly spending her quarantine time working at her Grandmothers tofu shop. While she is happy to be able to help people during the quarantine, she misses her friends. One night Rise and her grandmother are eating dinner. Her grandma thanks her for all her help around the shop. Rise says it's no problem, but she wished everything could go back to normal. Her grandma comments that staying open is her small way of trying to keep things normal. She also says it gives people something to do that isn't thinking about the virus. Rise agrees and starts to think. After dinner she looks around the house for something. It turns out to be an old video camera. She sets it up on a stool in her room and sings a little for it. She plays back the footage and smiles; she thinks to herself this might work. She then begins setting up her room with decorations and all the good lighting she can find (mostly lamps and a few flashlights). She looks upon her work and immediately sends out a group text to everyone explaining her plan. She wants to record a little concert for people to take their mind off the quarantine. Best of all she wants everyone to record a part (like the band they form in Golden). Everyone responds in their own unique way, but everyone eventually agrees. We then see everyone doing their parts. Yu does it with Nanako and Dojima even helps out, Yosuke and Teddy use a fancy camera from Junes, Chie and Yukiko do it at the inn with cell phone cameras, Naoto does her part in her room with little decoration, and Kanji has an elaborate backdrop and his grandma films it. After all the parts are recorded Rise sends it to a friend who edits video. Once it is done, she sends the video to her friends. We see everyone's reactions as they watch it for the first time. Nanako is thrilled, Yu smiles slightly, Chie thinks its rad, Yukiko and Naoto cover their eyes, Kanji is secretly super happy with it, Teddy loves it, Yosuke plays it off cool but is excited, Rise tells everyone they did an awesome job. She uploads the video to a YouTube rip off and comments pour in. The initial few are a bit mean but then the nice comments come in and everyone seems to appreciate the effort (probably throw in some jokes or Easter eggs here). The episode ends with the song they recorded playing as we see various social link characters watching/reacting to the video. We also see the kid from the inn reunited with Mom (she was just normal sick).
