Your legs are weak beneath you as you watch her back walk away. You want to yell, scream, chase her. Anything to make her turn around. But you're frozen. She lied to you. She forced you to sacrifice so many lives for the alliance that she broke.
Shaking you feel the bodies of the army behind you leave. It was right in front of you. Barely out of reach. The door was open and she ripped it away from your grasp. Your gaze shifts and you stare at the massive barrier. The door keeping your people trapped.
Pivoting around you walk away growling. How dare she play you like this. Stare into your eyes claiming love is weakness and then admit her feelings a week later. You almost tear your jacket off in your hurry to get the cool night air to reach your skin. She looked at you with her sad eyes and you fell for it. Then she had the audacity to look at you the same way as she tells you she's abandoning your people. You scream to the stars.
You stare into the flames of your small fire. Sometimes you think of going back. Trying to live a normal life with your friends. Or those left of them. Puffing out a sigh that quickly turns into a growl you grip the dagger you are sharpening tighter. If you ever see her again she will pay. You will make her pay for forcing you to pull that lever and killing everybody inside that mountain. You will make her pay for the nightmares you have every night. You will make her pay for those that died after she left you outside the door.
Your eyes lift to the stars and you lay back. Tomorrow is another day and you have a panther to kill. As darkness fills your mind her voice repeats in that irritatingly soft tone
"May we meet again."
The musty smell of the bag over your head makes it difficult to breath and you take a deep breath when it gets removed. Sunlight blinds you for a second and then something blocks it. Blinking a few times you look up.
There she is. Standing in front of you with the sunlight creating a halo around her and the air leaves your lungs again. Her green eyes stare into yours and your heart flutters. Her face looks so soft without her makeup around her eyes. She looks so soft in general. Your fingers twitch at the memory of her skin beneath them. She barks a few orders and her voice reminds you that she's not soft. She left you alone and never looked back.
The guards lift you to your feet and your heart is pounding and you're shaking as she speaks to you.
"I'm sorry" she says gently. Her lips keep moving but the words don't reach your ears as your eyes flicker around her face. "Clarke." your name rolling off your tongue brings your attention back to your surroundings. "I need you." How, dare she. You spit and she jumps. The guards grab you and quickly take you away as you yell and curse and threaten their leader. She turns away slowly and you see her back yet again.
A/N I have an unhealthy obsession with Clarke and Lexa, lol. short, but I hope you get the feelings. May edit later. Comments are appreciated :)
