Miraculous Ladybug
Sick Bugaboo
Disclaimer: I do not own Miraculous Ladybug
It was three-something-in the morning and Marinette thought she was dying.
She cried on the floor of her bathroom, but it seemed like her stomach wasn't finished yet.
The bathroom door briefly opened and closed.
"Oh, Marinette," Tikki set a water bottle beside her chosen on the floor. "Drink a little water, maybe you'll feel better."
The bluenette sat up and took the water bottle, opening it. She took two little sips before setting it down.
For five seconds, she was fine.
Then she turned and puked that water into the toilet.
Tikki buzzed worriedly around Marinette's head before landing on the counter.
"Please, tell your parents."
The bluenette nodded, flushing the toilet.
Adrien glanced behind him for the uth time, frowning at the empty seat.
"Looking for someone, Sunshine?" Alya wiggled her eyebrows at him, a smirk on her face.
Adrien blushed at being caught, but asked the question plaguing his mind.
"Is Marinette okay?"
Alya frowned, glancing down at her phone. "My girl is pretty sick. Woke up really early puking everything she had in her. She's going to call me at lunch to tell me about her doctor appointment."
The blond frowned in concern. "Is it okay if I'm there for the call? Just to make sure she's okay."
The brunette grinned. "I think Marinette would like that."
Everyone besides the group of three had left the classroom when Alya's phone rang.
She answered it and put the phone on speaker, setting the device on her desk as the boys crowded around. "What's the verdict?"
"Alya, I want to die."
Adrien frowned. Was she suffering that much?
From Alya and Nino's laughter he must be missing something.
"What happened, girl?"
"We get called in and everything is normal besides the fact I'm suffering. They do a quick check up before taking us to a room. So the lady comes in and is asking questions while checking my breathing and stuff. 'Are you having nausea and vomiting?' That's a big yes. 'Are you having diarrhea?' Thank god no. 'Is your cycle normal and when was your last period?' The usual."
Adrien and Nino blushed, nervously looking anywhere but an amused Alya.
"Then she asks me to lay down and starts to feel up my stomach. This is red flag number three."
Alya started wheezing, apparently knowing where this was going.
"She leaves then comes back with a cup and tells me to pee in it and at that moment I realized she asked me to take a pregnancy test."
Alya is laughing her ass off, Nino is wheezing, and Adrien just looked shocked.
"W-well!" The brunette wheezed. "Are you?"
"Of course not!" Marinette shrieked on the other side. "I must have looked as shocked as I felt because my parents started laughing at me. 'Cause they know I'm not pregnant, but this is apparently the most hilarious thing."
"It very much is."
"Shut up. So I pee in the cup, wishing I would just die on the spot. The lady comes back and says I have some sort of virus that's going around. They give me a prescription for nausea tablets that my Mama is picking up right now. We'll see how they work. I feel like I have to puke, but I have nothing left to puke up. It sucks."
Adrien's heart ached for Marinette, she sounded miserable. He wished he could help her feel better.
"Is your parents allowing visitors?" Alya questioned.
"No, they don't want anyone else getting sick. Papa doesn't look happy at the idea of me going to school tomorrow either, so I'll be out for two days."
"He better let me see you tomorrow," The brunette then smirked. "Oh, and you're on speaker with Nino and Adrien."
Marinette was silent and Adrien was concerned that she hung up.
"Alya, I'm divorcing you."
Adrien had to resist from visiting Marinette as Chat Noir. His waiting paid off when she came back.
When she walked through the door with Alya his eyes were immediately on the bluenette.
Besides looking a little pale and tired, nothing outwardly looked too concerning.
"I'm glad you're feeling better, Marinette," The blond gave her a heartwarming smile.
Oh, some color was coming back!
In the beginning, Marinette was fine. She survived most of her classes and lunch.
The last class of the day was dragging on and Marinette was suffering.
She couldn't focus on the lesson, was definitely running a little hot, and she just wanted to leave.
The bluenette rested her head on Alya's shoulder, who just gently patted her head and continued to write notes.
She stayed in some sort of limbo until the bell rang for the end of school. Then she just moved her head to her arms so Alya could pack up.
"Is Marinette okay?"
"I just have to get her home and she'll be fine."
"Can we help?"
Their voices became white noise as she entered the limbo again.
She groaned as hands shifted her then she was being carried bridal-style. She rested her head on the person's shoulder.
"She's so light."
"My girl hasn't been eating right since she got sick."
The arms seem to hold her tighter and Marinette fell asleep.
I always seem to project my sicknesses on Marinette...oops.
Man I wish I had someone carrying me home when I had that last class, naw I had to walk my Dad's car and internally die.
