-Hello! I had no intentions of publishing this little passion project of mine, but the more and more I wrote, the more and more I wanted to share it. But before I do, there are a couple of things I need to preface:
**Most Important: This story is my personal adaptation of another fanfiction I read on this site, a fanfiction of a fanfiction if you will. The original story is "The Lines That Lie Between" by RadientWings. I so incredibly enjoyed reading their story, and was so inspired by it, that I wanted to put my own little spin on it. I couldn't highly suggest more that you pay that story a read. It'll be clear to you where my inspiration came from after reading.
It is also important to note that while yes, the protagonist's name is Carolyn, she is most definitely Caroline Forbes. I wanted to give her a name that not only fit in more with the time frame the story takes place in, but also one I could "Americanize" in the sequal.
With that being said, the overarching plot of the story belongs to its original author, RadientWings, not me. I would only like to take credit for where my story diverges from theirs (there are a couple of characters and story beats I changed). If you have any questions regarding why I changed something, feel free to ask! Most of the changes I made were to make the writing more in sync with the century it is meant to take place in.
