Nishikata is waiting around the corner where he and Takagi should meet before going to school. He's up early this time, and he's still half-asleep waiting for Takagi. "I wonder if I should've slept more than wait for Takagi-san this long," he thought to himself as he remembered Takagi asking for them to go to school together. His mind was about to give up and sleep, but as he looked towards the street where Takagi should come from, he saw her figure walking down the street.
"Hey, Nishikata," Takagi called him as she approached him. "Good morning."
Nishikata slightly blushed at the sight of Takagi. "Uhmm—G-good morning, Takagi-san." He suddenly felt his heart rate rise which left a nervous face on him, which Takagi realized.
"Hmm? Are you nervous again, Nishikata," Takagi teasingly asked with a sly smile on her face.
"T-THAT'S NOT IT! It's jus-," Nishikata protested, being interrupted by Takagi's laugh. "Darn you, Takagi-san," he thought. Not long after, Nishikata got a good look of Takagi-san and realized there was something missing. Then it hit him.
"Hey, Takagi-san."
"Hmm?"
"You didn't bring your bike today?"
"Yep," Takagi said and approached Nishikata's face and asked, "can you guess why I didn't bring my bike?"
Nishikata's thought process suddenly went sharp. "Why? Hmm…why didn't she bring her bike today? The weather's nice unlike that one time, and as far as I remember, the bike doesn't have any problem in the first place." Nishikata closed his eyes and put his hands on his chin.
"By the way, if you guessed wrong, you have to kiss me on the cheeks."
"W-WHAAAT?" Takagi bursts into laughter after seeing Nishikata's frightened reaction. "W-WHY DO I HAVE TO DO THAT," Nishikata protested; Takagi simply giggled and didn't answer his question.
"You have 10 seconds to guess," Takagi said with a smile.
This put Nishikata into panic mode. "Crap! I need to think immediately. Let's see…uhhh…there's nothing wrong with the road ahead, so that's not it. Hmm…could it be that it broke down all of a sudden before she went out? I have a feeling that's not it"
"Time's up," Takagi said while poking Nishikata on his forehead as she noticed Nishikata lost with his thoughts. "I win."
"Wha-," Nishikata instinctively said, and soon he realized what Takagi just said. "CRAAAAAAAAAAP," Nishikata thought with a terrified reaction. Takagi can't help but laugh wildly to the point that her stomach hurts. Nishikata went down on his knees in defeat and he groaned bitterly. After Takagi calmed down, she approached Nishikata and crouched to be closer to Nishikata's face.
"Did you really forget why," Takagi asked playfully.
"Huh? Why is Takagi-san asking me that? Should I actually know," Nishikata pondered as he is already lost in his thoughts.
"Seems like you forgot…or you're just too embarrassed to think about it," Takagi teasingly said as she stood up and glanced at Nishikata.
This startled Nishikata as a realization came up. "Wait. Could it be…" Nishikata thought as his face slowly became red.
"Takagi-san…you left your bike…because you…," Nishikata tried to say as he mumbled through his next words, and Takagi turned around and teasingly said, "Oh? Are you saying something?"
Nishikata's face only turned redder as he was startled and finally said, "…you wanted to walk with me?"
Takagi smiled with her eyes closed and tilted her head to the side.
"Yep. I wanted to walk with my boyfriend, you dummy," Takagi said.
Nishikata's face became so red he had to cover his face with his bag, and Takagi can't help but laugh out loud that tears came out from her eyes. "Crap…I didn't think she'll use that to tease me," Nishikata embarrassingly thought.
Takagi finally calmed down once more, and with a smile, she looked at Nishikata and said, "Well, you lost the game. Where is my kiss?"
Nishikata stood up, still embarrassed, and before speaking he sighed heavily. "Fine," Nishikita said, accepting defeat.
Nishikata gave Takagi a quick peck to cheek as a punishment for his defeat. Takagi, being already used to it, fought back the blush and simply giggled. "Let's start walking," Takagi said cheerfully, holding her hand out so Nishikata can hold her hand while he held her hand and looked away in embarrassment. "At least there aren't many people around," Nishikata said in an annoyed manner.
"Oh, come on now, Nishikata," Takagi said as she brought her body closer to Nishikata's. "Everyone already knows we're a couple at this point."
"STILL," Nishikata loudly protested, and he toned down. "It's still kinda embarrassing."
Takagi just giggled and looked straight ahead afterwards. The two continued walking to school with their hands clasped together, with Nishikata being defeated once more by his teasing master girlfriend.
HELLO! Welcome to my Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san fan fiction. I see that the amount of fan fictions for this series is extremely limited, so I am doing my part to add to the collection. Anyway, no matter how convincing the fan fiction will be, these are almost non-canon because I will be referencing events from some of the chapters in the manga and some episodes in the anime. The following chapters and this one are just my personal takes on what I think their relationship would be as official couples. For the mean time, I am open to suggestions to what theme should be presented next. This collection doesn't have an exact number of chapters planned because the plan is to make it similar to the manga as a series of one-shots with some connected to the others.
