CORI: Anyways, Emma, can I ask you a question?
EMMA: Sure!
CORI: You think that it can really be real?
EMMA: Why do you ask?
CORI: Well, I don't really think it should be...
EMMA: WHAT?! B-but you care about him! You LITERALLY said that you love him.
CORI: I know that I did, but... we're just... not made for each other.
EMMA: You can't just strike out any feelings you have. You know that, right?
CORI: It's not that I'm striking out my feelings. It's just that... we're two completely different species! A spirit and a fox! Plus, I'm 2 years older than him.
EMMA: How old even are you two?
CORI: Fox years are confusing to try to compare to a real age, but he told me once that currently he is 13 in fox years, and I am 15.
EMMA: It doesn't seem like you are 15!
CORI: Well. I. Am! *sigh* But, back on topic, I'm too old for him.
Fenton walks to Cori and Emma.
FENTON: What'cha two talking about?
CORI: Things.
EMMA: Creations.
CORI: The Weeknd.
EMMA: You.
FENTON: What?
EMMA: Nothing.
FENTON: You two are veeery suspicious right now.
Cori and Emma become more nervous.
CORI: We're fine!
EMMA: Yeah!
FENTON: Alright... but I'll be watching.
Fenton leaves.
CORI: Whew! That was close.
EMMA: Why can't you just tell him the truth?
CORI: Well, I can't just let him down like that...
EMMA: Look, I have things to do right now, but just remember this. Don't keep this guilt hanging over you for too long.
Emma leaves, but gives a thumbs up to Cori on her way out.
CORI: I can't leave this guilt over me. I've got to tell him, but in a way he can understand!
Cori goes to her room. She doesn't notice, but Fenton was peeking around the corner the whole time, and he starts to tear up.
