Chihiro and Haku! Not good with these types of stories, so bare with me. Also inspiration came from In lights of God's. (another story on here with the same idea.) So some parts may seem similar, I am not in any way trying to copy that authors work.

Chihiro's prov:

I couldn't believe my life. My life, was so perfect till 5 years ago, when my parents died. "Where are you going?!" The orphanage worker said. That's right, I grew up in the orphanage since. I was deemed UN-adoptable since I tried to keep to myself, or told stories of the spirit world, a place that I've visited7 years ago with my parents.

"I'm leaving. I've been through enough of getting picked on, and beaten, within inches of my life, in more ways then one, as well as you people not doing anything about it." I walked right out. Not even grabbing any of the few belongings I had, before walking the familiar pathway to the area where I found the opening to the spirit world. 'This is it, Chihiro… No turning back…' I thought, as I crossed through the tunnel. It seemed a lot longer, till I hit the streets, taking me through the area, till I could reach the bath house bridge. I held my breath before I crossed, taking a breath towards the end and ducking to the side and running towards the boiler room.

"So far so good…" I whispered. 'I wonder if Haku is still around, and Lin.' I thought. I went into the boiler room. "Excuse me… are you Kamaji?" I called, as Kamaji looked up. "Is that my favorite Granddaughter?" He said, as I made my way over. "In the flesh!" I said, solemnly. "What's the matter with you dear?" He asked, handing me a bowl of some extra food. "It's a good thing I don't listen to Lin." I smiled, very small, as I took the bowl, picking at the food. "Just a lot of stuff… So Catch me up... Is Lin still around? Haku?" I asked, immediately changing the subject. "Yeah, Both still around… They actually run the bath house together now, so I'm sure you'll be seeing them both very very very soon." I said "Good…" "So what brings you back to the spirit world?" Kamaji asked. "I…" I sighed. I didn't want to tell anybody before I told Haku… I knew Haku wouldn't turn me away. But just before I could continue, The sliding door opened and Lin appeared.

Kamaji gave the bowl to her, which is when she noticed me for the first time. "Lin…" I said, as I threw my arms around her shocked form. "Sen!" She said, hugging me back, although I could tell she was still shocked. "What are you doing here?" She said as she released me. "I'll tell you later… But right now… I need to speak to Haku… I gotta talk to him about it first…" Lin said "Well he's in a meeting right now… But come on. I'll take you up there…" We said bye to Kamaji and headed up.

"Talk to me." Lin almost demanded once we were alone. "If I tell you, you have to promise not to tell Haku, and let me tell him." I said, as I sunk to my knees, in the halls. "Sen, what's going on? Really?" Lin said, kneeling down beside me. "Your frightened. Whatever it is you can tell me. I won't tell Haku, unless you don't when you see him." I looked to her, feeling vulnerable, and broken. "My parents died 2 years after we returned, so I got sent to an orphanage..." I started, slowly. "I was deemed UN-Adoptable since I kept to myself especially after I got beaten up, and…" I didn't even want to say what really happened, but I guess Lin guessed, cause she immediately pulled me close. "They forced you to…" She led, which I nodded. "… I did tell the workers, but they didn't do anything. They just beat me, and forced me 2 times... I have bruises, covering every inch of my body…" Lin sighed. "We have to tell Haku… Everything… Come on. I'll tend to your injuries, after." The way up was silent, till we got to the top floor. "Hey Lin?" I said, soft. "Yeah?"

"Thank you… You're like the big sister, I've always wanted." I said, as she smiled. "You don't have to thank me. You are my sister, always have been." She hugged me close, for a full 10 minutes, before she went to talk to Haku. A minute later, she flagged me in. When I entered the office, I saw Haku at the desk. I've been terrified around every other person, even the girls in the human world. But here, in the spirit world, I didn't feel fear with Lin, and I hoped fear wouldn't grip me when Haku and I were alone. Lin stepped out, and Haku looked up finally. "Chihiro?"
