Annabeth POV
I blinked and looked around. Where was I? Well, to answer that, I was in a forest. I stood up and found something out. I was a cat. Why I was a cat, or how I wasn't sure. Suddenly a yowl cut though the night, and four cats ran towards me. One was a large golden furred tom, another was gray with green eyes, the third was a ginger cat with one white paw, and the last was a striped gray tabby. All of them looked angry, their fur fluffed up and teeth bared. "Who are you?" Snarled the ginger one, her green eyes blazing. "Er... my name's Annabeth," I replied "Who are you?" The cat hissed, looking ready to slash my throat open. "I am Squirrelflight, and this is Lionblaze, Twigbranch, and her apprentice Flypaw. What are you doing on ThunderClan territory?" I frowned. What was ThunderClan? And why was I here? "I'm not sure. And sorry, is this your place? I'll just leave." I started to move away, but Lionblaze stopped me, his huge body blocking my path. "You aren't going anywhere. We have to take you to Bramblestar." Who was Bramblestar? I didn't want to ask, so instead I went with the group of cats.
When we got to wherever we going, I was amazed. There was a tunnel made of thorns, and beyond that, a huge quarry, that I guessed made up these cats' home. There was bramble and honeysuckle woven together to make dens and cats were everywhere, grooming each other, eating, and talking. As we came in, heads started turning, and the one who called himself Lionblaze jumped up a pile of rocks to a hole in the wall, maybe Bramblestar's den? Moments later, a large brown tabby with amber eyes followed Lionblaze down the rocks. "Hello. I am Bramblestar, leader of ThunderClan. May I ask what you are doing here?" His voice was loud and deep, and he obviously knew how to handle this. I dipped my furry head in respect and said, "I don't know where I am, or how I got here, but if you don't want me here, I'll leave. And if Lionblaze didn't tell you, my name is Annabeth." Bramblestar looked around and locked eyes with Squirrelflight. They seemed to have a silent conversation, and finally Bramblestar said, "You do not have to leave. In fact, there might be a place here for you. Annabeth, would you want to become a warrior?" When I hesitated, he added, "I had a dream last night, the half-moon, and you were in it. Leafpool, Jayfeather, and Alderheart also had this dream. I think -I hope- it means that you should join ThunderClan." I nodded. If I became a warrior, that would mean that I might be able to find Percy or Piper. Bramblestar raised his voice, shouting, "Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather here underneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" Cats gathered around me, forming a ragged semi-circle. "From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Owlpaw. Your mentor will be Stormcloud. I hope Stormcloud will pass down all he knows on to you." Bramblestar gestured for a gray tabby to come forward. "Stormcloud, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Squirrelflight and you have shown yourself to be brave and loyal. You will be mentor to Owlpaw and I expect you to pass all you know on to Owlpaw." I couldn't believe it. I had a new name and a mentor, who I guess would train me to be a warrior. The cats gathered around me were silent for a moment, then a brown cat with part of his tail missing started chanting, "Owlpaw!" Soon, the entire Clan joined in: "Owlpaw! Owlpaw! Owlpaw!" I was glad that the originally hostile cats were now letting me join their Clan. I stood next to Stormcloud and let the yowls wash over me.
