Chapter 1
Ginny stood at the bar, sipping a margarita. Her eyes were drawn to the dance floor, and to the glowing couple in the center of the room. Ron and Hermione were slow dancing together - Ron in his finest dress robes and Hermione in her white muggle wedding dress. They couldn't take their eyes off each other, and they both had the biggest grins on their faces.
Ginny smiled as she watched the pair, relishing in their happiness. "They're perfect together, aren't they?" Ginny relaxed as she heard the familiar voice and felt a warm hand on her shoulder.
"They really are." She sighed, happily. Harry turned towards her and placed a chaste kiss on her cheek. "You look beautiful tonight, Gin."
Ginny blushed, and pulled him into a kiss. "Do you want a drink? This muggle alcohol is great!" She offered him the glass. Harry took a sip, and grimaced, then turned to the witch behind the bar. "One shot of firewhisky please." Ginny laughed as he downed his drink.
"Now, how about we hop onto that dance floor?" She rested her glass on the side.
"Really Gin? You know I can't dance; are you sure you want to be seen with this?" He waved his hands above his head and wriggled his hips jerkily for a second. "Oh, stop it!" Ginny hit him on the arm playfully, and grabbed his hand, pulling him onto the dance floor.
After an evening of dancing around and eating, laughing with their friends and celebrating Ron and Hermione's love for each other, Ginny and Harry were exhausted, but they stayed to see off their friends on their honeymoon.
"Have fun guys!" Ginny hugged Hermione, and then her brother, a wide smile on her face.
"Yeah, don't go too crazy!" Harry patted Ron on the back, after receiving a hug from Hermione.
"Well, we better get going or we'll miss our portkey." Hermione said, checking her watch, and Ron wrapped an arm around his new wife. "Don't want to bother the Mrs.!" He smiled, placing a kiss on the top of Hermione's head. Ginny waved and led her fiance away gently.
"I'm so proud of those two." Harry said as he and Ginny entered at the burrow, where they had promised to spend the night so that they could help clean up the next morning. Ginny nodded, and then yawned loudly, covering her mouth with her hand. Harry laughed at her, and pulled the door to their bedroom shut. "Let's get you to bed." Harry cooed, and lifted her onto the bed.
Ginny sighed, and closed her eyes, folding her hands over her stomach. "If you're planning on doing anything, that's fine as long as I can lie here perfectly still."
Harry laughed at her and pulled her up by the elbows. "Come on Gin, you can't go to sleep in your dress." Ginny sighed, and opened her eyes.
"Fine but can you help me?" She said in a small voice.
Harry looked at her, an eyebrow raised. "Are you sure you're okay? It's not like you to get so tired at the end of the night."
Ginny nodded sleepily. "I'm fine, don't worry. I just need to rest." Harry started to help her, holding her long red hair out of the way with one hand as he unzipped her dress with the other. Ginny held up her arms and let the dress fall to the floor. She stood in just her underwear for a minute, before he threw her one of his T-shirts. "Thanks Honey, I love you." Ginny said, before she fell into the bed.
Harry looked at his girlfriend, who was lying dead asleep on their bed, and he smiled. "I love you too, Gin." He murmured, moving a strand of hair away from her face, and climbed into bed alongside her.
Ginny woke up in a good mood. She stretched like a cat, arching her back, and opened her eyes. She felt someone's warm breath in her ear. "Good morning." Ginny smiled, and turned to kiss him gently. "Good morning babe." Harry smiled at her affectionately.
Ginny rubbed her eyes and sat up. "What time is it?"
"It's about nine."
Ginny sighed. "Oh I promised Mum that I would wake up early! I've been asleep for about ten hours!"
Harry chuckled and picked up her hand. "It's okay Gin, don't worry. Yesterday was a long day, your parents will understand." Ginny got out of bed, and threw on a pair of knickers, shorts, and a jumper. She looked up at her fiancé and saw that he was already dressed. "Do you want to grab some breakfast?" Ginny nodded, vigorously.
"Let's go Gin, I smell bacon." The words had hardly left Harry's mouth before the redhead had dashed off down the stairs. The messy-haired man chuckled at her enthusiasm, before following her.
Mrs Weasley was magically washing up in the kitchen, while sipping a cup of tea, with her back to the door. "Good morning Harry." She said, without turning around.
"Good morning Mrs. W... Good morning Molly."
Mrs. Weasley smiled at him. "Harry, dear, do you want some breakfa-" The middle-aged witch was cut off by the sight of her youngest child stuffing her face with bacon.
"Ginerva Weasley, what on earth are you are doing?" Molly Weasley looked shocked, Ginny was always so disgusted by the way her brothers (especially Ron) ate, yet here she was, eating like a wild animal. "Are you okay Gin?" Harry stared at the girl as she tried to chew her food.
Ginny continued to shove bacon and eggs into her mouth. "Mm mmtnng brmmfsstm"
"To translate for my dear sis, she is eating her breakfast." Harry turned to see another Weasley behind him.
"Hey George!" Harry sat down
"Oi Harry! Did you enjoy the wedding yesterday?"
"Of course! I've never seen them so happy … and the cake was delicious." George winked at Harry and laughed, and passed him a bacon butty. "Angie's upstairs in my bedroom still. The baby keeps kicking her stomach so she can't eat much, and most food makes her feel sick anyway." Mrs. Weasley tutted softly. "That poor girl, pregnancy has been a little rough on her so far."
George nodded. "But our healer said that after around four months she shouldn't be feeling nauseous, so we're keeping our hopes up." Harry smiled supportively, giving the man a thumbs up.
Arthur Weasley walked into the kitchen from the garden, wearing an apron. "Hello Harry, and how's my girl?" Mr. Weasley patted Harry on the back. After polishing off all of the bacon, Ginny swallowed, and gulped down her cup of tea. "Hi Dad! I slept like a baby. Thanks for the breakfast, Mum, it was delicious." Mrs Weasley just shook her head and flicked her wand, bringing the plates to the sink.
Ginny's face turned green, and she jumped up from the table, and ran into the bathroom.
"Um, I'm going to go and check on her…" Harry got up quickly and hurried after her.
"Gin! Are okay?" Harry opened the bathroom door and heard muffled retching sounds.
"Oh Ginny!" Harry sighed sympathetically, and rushed to her side, holding her hair out of the way and rubbed her back soothingly until she was done.
Five minutes later, Ginny collapsed by the side of the bowl. "Ugggghhhh." She groaned and wiped her mouth with the damp flannel that Harry had passed her, sitting in-between his legs and leaning into his body. "What happened?" He asked her, concerned.
Ginny groaned again. "I don't know! Maybe it was the weird muggle drink yesterday? I just felt so sick suddenly. All I know is that I can never eat bacon again."
"How d'you feel now?" Harry stroked her hair gently.
Ginny looked at him for a moment and then rolled her eyes. "I'm fucking fantastic." She cracked a small smile, and Harry chuckled, and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Are you ready to go outside now?"
Ginny nodded slowly. "Yeah, I'm good. Let me just wash my face quickly."
Harry stood up. "I'll head downstairs. Shall I ask your Mum to dispose of the bacon?"
The girl nodded appreciatively. "My hero!" Harry laughed out loud.
