"I am Riley Merrick, a half vampire...no, not like the vampires you read on novels. My case is different. It's worst; what I have is considered as a disease." The mirror in front of me displayed my reflection; looking back at me was a brunette girl wearing a black leather jacket...
"That's me..." I paused intentionally as stared at the mirror. I groan from the bothersome notion in my head.
"...or what's left of it..." I peeked back at my reflection again and saw my eyes gleaming pale purple.
I stared at my reflection, mainly focusing my attention on my eyes.
"It's about 3 years now since Patient 0 released the contagious disease that plagued the country then later on spread through the entire world. This dreadful disease started an apocalypse...it started the Blood Age. There's no exact name for this disease, but I call it Vampiria..." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"However for some reason, I was different..." I exhaled and slowly opened my eyelids again, revealing my eyes; they were back to my natural eye color, light blue.
"...I'm was infected by the disease, but not controlled by it. Unlike most cases..."
ARRHH
A feral snarl was heard outside of the room I was in. It echoed menacingly through the corridors.
The bathroom door behind me was abruptly slammed open. Standing by the door was a guy wearing a dark twill long coat with a recurve crossbow on hand.
"Zero..." I fretted. I tensed up while staring at this guy, while he firmly stood there with his stern expression locked on me.
"Feeders are here. Prepare yourself." He ordered before leaving my sight from the doorframe.
"Of course..." I answered despite knowing that he wasn't there anymore.
"Sweetie, wait up..." A girl with blonde hair called out as she paced by the doorframe; she stopped, and turn to look at me with an aggravated expression on her face before she rolled her eyes, and walked off.
"Bitch..." I muttered to myself out of frustration, while sensing that my eyes were beginning to glowing purple again.
Another guy passed by the doorframe and spoke:
"Finally some action. Let's kill some--"
He abruptly paused mid-sentence when he saw me.
"Ack!" A feminine voice burst coming from behind the guy. I assume she bumped into the guy's back.
"Hey moron why did you stop walking?" She complained with a clear hint of irritation in her voice; the girl walked around the guy and turned to me.
"What are you still doing there? You do know that it's time to go." She informed
I closed my eyes and sighed.
"Yeah, I know," I said before opening my eyelids revealing my light blue eyes.
"You seriously need to do stop that." The guy commented as I walked out of the bathroom.
"Stop what?" I asked gawking at him with a questioning look in my eyes.
"You know that creepy glowing eyes." He responded while making a shaking gesture with his hand toward his eyes.
"Oh sorry about that," I replied then immediately looked down on the floor.
"Come on, she can't help it." The girl declared whilst eyeing me. With a playful look in her eyes, she turned her attention to the guy.
"Aww is the big shot Vampire Hunter scared of her glowing eyes."
"Hell no!" The guy flustered
"Ha! I knew--" The girl's teasing attempt was cut short when...
"HEY! Will you three stop fucking around! It's time to go!" Zero yelled across the hallway.
The three of use practically jumped when he heard that command.
I gawked at him anxiously.
"So this is really happening, huh?" I pondered to myself as I walked next to these two so-called Vampire Hunters. Approaching this intimidating leader of theirs who goes by the name Zero; he firmly stood there beside that blonde bitch girlfriend of his who's idiotically clinging to his arm.
"A half-vampire..." My eyes gleaming bright purple again.
"...with a team of Vampire Hunters," I mumbled while glancing at the two vampire hunter beside me.
"How did I end up in this situation?"
