Mothra Leo's green eyes lit up as he sensed a danger to mankind. Green and red wings flapped, and he was off, speeding off across the sea. A sinking ship caught his attention and he flared out his wings, slowing down and halting. His emerald eyes scanned the ship, trying to determine the cause. Burn marks were present, so Ebirah or Gezora were out of the question. Titanosaurus was at Monster Island along with Manda, Ganimes, and Kamoebas. Out of the corner of his compound eye, he spotted a tentacle blasting from the water. With a great flap, he dodged the limb. Spinning around, he spotted another lanching at him. Energy sparked across the three spots on his forehead, then the Cross Heat Laser Beams were fired, severing it.
A muted cry of pain sounded but nothing surfaced. Instead more tentacles blasted out, forcing Leo to dodge and fired his Jade Bolts at the limbs, which retreated. Leo spotted a form swimming away. While he would normally let a kaiju flee, but he could sense this one was different. Unlike Ebirah or Gezora, who hunted humans out of the natural need to eat, Leo could tell this one had killed because he could. Time to taunt.
Under the waves, the kaiju halted. Him, a coward? HOW DARE HE CALL HIM THAT! Another muted chirp sounded, saying that even Oodako had the guts to face a foe, no matter how tough. Gritting shark-like teeth, he turned around and headed up to the surface.
As the water bubbled, Leo twitched his antenna with satisfaction. Erupting from the waves, Kaishin Muba let out a crackling cry at Mothra Leo. The moth let out a battle cry before firing his Cross Heat Laser Beams. They raked across Kaishin Muba's neck, sending sparks and bits of scales flying. Kaishin Muba howled in pain and sent his tentacles toward Leo, who flew back. Flapping his great wings, he sent out his Reflective Green Powder.
Kaishin Muba cackled as his tentacles went numb, and he pulled them underwater. Leo did a backflip and leveled out at Kaishin Muba's level. His body shone with energy and he shot forward with his Excel Dash. The moth's fuzzy head collided with the fish's head, which snapped back as Leo shot back into the air, teeth flying. Kaishin Muba shook his head and shot out a tentacle, wrapping it around one of Leo's legs. In response, energy crackled across Leo's wings before he fired his Jade Bolts, shredding the limb.
The water kaiju howled in agony before gritting his teeth. Energy funneled into Mothra Leo's chest, and with a loud chirp, he fired his Mega Breast Cannon. The blue beam slammed into Kaishin Muba and shoved him underwater. It kept pushing until he slammed into a rocky protrusion, destroying it. Roaring in rage, he grabbed a boulder and shot to the surface. He erupted from the waves and tossed the boulder, which Leo destroyed with his Mega Breast Cannon. As energy gathered in Leo's beads, the jewel on the fish's head lit up, and his fins crackled with energy. With twin roars, they fired and their beams locked.
Both beams shoved each other, a sphere of energy building up and exploding, obscuring the two from view. Leo took this opportunity and called upon the power of Ghogo the water fairy, and his body shone.
Kaishin Muba hissed as he awaited his foe's next move. A trio of multicolored beams shot out of the smoke and exploded against his neck, sending bits of his flesh flying. The smoke cleared, and Kaishin Muba's yellow eyes widened as Rainbow Mothra chirped. He sent out a tentacle, ready to ensnare his foe. Rainbow Mothra's wings crackled with energy, and he unleashed his Sparkling Rainbow Buster, blowing the limb to bits. The bolts continued and stuck Kaishin Muba in the chest, throwing him back. Grabbing a portion of the ship, he tossed it, then charged up his beam.
Rainbow Mothra fired his Cross Heat Rainbow Laser Beams, destroying the ship piece. The beam from Kaishin Muba shot through the smoke and hit Rainbow Mothra in the chest, burning fur and exoskeleton. The son of Mothra cried out in pain, prompting Kaishin Muba to fire again. Fighting thought the pain, Rainbow Mothra activated his Pressure Field. The beam glanced off the shield harmlessly. The moth cut off the shield, blue energy funneling into his chest. Kaishin Muba braced for the blast but was unable to stop his scream in pain when the Mineral Chest Cannon slammed into him.
All 2,000 tons of the fish was knocked clean out of the water from the blast, pieces of his flesh flying. Then gravity took over and he fell with all the grace of an anvil and a painful SMACK! Rainbow Mothra's Cross Heat Rainbow Laser Beams shot through the splash and hit Kaishin Muba in the underside. The fish rose from the waves, glaring daggers at Rainbow Mothra, who returned with a glare of his own.
The tension was broken when Jade Bolts and Cross Heat Rainbow Laser Beams crashed into him. A trio of holes was shot in one of his fins and bits of his body were sent flying. Despite the barrage, Kaishin Muba managed to fire his beam a few times. Rainbow Mothra hissed in pain as sparks flew. Acting fast, he brought up his Pressure Field, which reflected the next beam back at Kaishin Muba. The sea monster howled at the pain of his own beam blowing a mini hole in his flesh.
Rainbow Mothra swooped in, and Kaishin Muba braced for impact. But instead, the moth halted and flapped his wings, sending out his Reflective Rainbow Powder. Kaishin Muba howled as his body went numb, blue flashes of energy lighting up randomly. Despite the pain, Kaishin Muba wrapped his tentacles around Rainbow Mothra and dragged him under the waves.
As they descended, Rainbow Mothra panicked as memories of his fight with Dagahra surfaced. He let loose with his Sparkling Rainbow Buster, carving trenches in Kaishin Muba's flesh. The water kaiju cackled like a loon, the moth could attack all he wanted, but underwater, Kaishin Muba was king. They descended into an underwater trench and Kaishin Muba smashed Rainbow Mothra into the ground and wrapped one of his tentacles around the moth's neck and started squeezing. A bright glow appeared between them as Rainbow Mothra charged up his Mineral Chest Cannon. Kaishin Muba saw this and groaned, as if to say, "aw crud." An explosion of bubbles threw him off Rainbow Mothra.
Kaishin Muba drifted to a halt, grinning like a psychopathic clown. Rainbow Mothra's wings glowed blue, and bolts of the same color rocketed to the sea bed. Pillers of blue energy erupted from the ground, headed straight for Kaishin Muba. The sea monster yelped and spun around, swimming for his life. Just because Rainbow Mothra was in his turf didn't mean he was helpless. The energy pillers soon faded, and Kaishin Muba looped around, firing his beam.
Rainbow Mothra chirped in pain as the beam raked across his back. He lifted his head and fired his Cross Heat Rainbow Laser Beams. Kaishin Muba dodged the beams and slammed his tentacles on the moth's back as he passed. Rainbow Mothra flapped his wings, slowly turning around. He fired again, but Kaishin Muba dodged with ease and fired his beam, raking it across Rainbow Mothra's back again. The sea beast then bodyslammed Rainbow Mothra with a sickening CRUNCH!
Kaishin Muba swam off the moth and looped around, grinning at his foe. Rainbow Mothra rose, blood seeping from his cracked carapace. This was just like his fight with Dagahra. And just like his fight with Dagahra, he once again called upon the power of Ghogo and begun to change.
His fur disappeared, and his body grew streamlined, his antenna bending back. His wings split into an X shape, with a second pair on the end of his thorax. With a loud cry, Aqua Mothra was born once again.
Kaishin Muba reared back and howled with shock. Just how many forms did this damn moth have?! He was snapped from his shock when Aqua Mothra shot by, slashing his wings across the sea beast's neck with a shower of sparks. Kaishin Muba howled in surprise, which turned into anger. He was the king of the seas, not some insect. Howling in rage, he swam after Aqua Mothra, who spun around, energy crackling across the gems on his forehead. With a loud cry, he fired his Cross Heat Pulser Beams, striking Kaishin Muba in the chest, slicing through his flesh like a hot knife through butter.
Kaishin Muba howled in agony from the red-hot pain. Aqua Mothra shot forward and slammed into Kaishin Muba before darting away. He looped around and fired his Cross Heat Pulser Beams again, severing the left rear tentacle. Kaishin Muba howled and turned to face Aqua Mothra with a murderous glare. With a howl of rage, he fired his beam. Aqua Mothra pulled up his Pressure Field and deflected the beam with ease. His blue eyes lit up, and energy crackled across his antenna, and a V-shaped energy blast was fired. The Crescent Dash Beam sliced through the water, and hit smack-dab on Kaishin Muba's jewel, shattering it.
Kaishin Muba howled in horror and rage. Aqua Mothra rammed the creature with his Pressure Field still active, sending Kaishin Muba tumbling back. The sea monster managed to stop, but to his shock, Aqua Mothra was nowhere to be seen. Without warning, the blasted moth rammed into him, sending him to the bottom of the trench with a cloud of sand.
Without skipping a beat, Aqua Mothra split into a swarm of 30.5 mini moths, who promptly fired their Cross Heat Pulser Beams. The barrage of green beams shot through the cloud of sand and sliced into Kaishin Muba's flesh. The swarm merged into one and Aqua Mothra shot over the sea bed. Kaishin Muba swam out of the cloud, blood seeping from his wounds.
Aqua Mothra's wings glowed blue before he fired a blue X-shaped blast of energy. Kaishin Muba howled as it exploded against his chest, chunks of flesh and tentacles gliding through the water. Another blast, orange instead of blue, was fired along with a trio of Crescent Dash Beams. They slammed into Kaishin Muba with a massive explosion, shredding his tentacles. Aqua Mothra fired another Crescent Dash Beam, which destroyed Kaishin Muba's right eye. The sea beast howled in agony, the saltwater stinging his wounds.
Aqua Mothra flew over Kaishin Muba and activated his Tractor Beam, and hoisted the sea beast up and out of the waves. Kaishin Muba howled as he thrashed his long body in an attempt to get free as he was pulled higher and higher. It wasn't long before they breached cloud cover and Aqua Mothra cut off his Tractor Beam and dove down ahead of the falling Kaishin Muba, shifting into his Rainbow form and activating his Excel Dash to zip through the air. He stopped over the waves and flipped around, energy funneling into his chest.
The Mineral Chest Beam blasted into the cloud cover, then cut off. Rainbow Mothra flipped right side up and waited. Soon the headless body of Kaishin Muba fell into the waves in front of him, and a second splash behind hin signaled his head doing the same. Rainbow Mothra chirped in victory, then flew home.
Winner: Mothra Leo
