Chapter 1: Back to School

Nicolae Carpathia and Leon Fortunato were sitting in an office in New Babylon. Both had plans on how they would gradually take over the world. Nicolae had several thoughts on his mind that he just had to share.

"You know something, Leon?", Nicolae asked.

"What is that, Mr. Carpathia?", Leon asked.

"I've noticed that there were a handful of young children that were left behind at the Rapture. Not a lot of children, but enough to see if any of them are willing to join our side. You know how children are so easily to manipulate."

"That is true", Leon said. "You know, there will be a lot of religious Christians that will be trying to force others to believe in what they believe. It disgusts me."

"I agree", Nicolae said. "And here is the first step on how we will carry out this plan."

"Go on."

"Forest View Elementary School in Illinois will be renamed. It will be called Global Community Elementary School going forward."

"I like this transition", Leon said.

One week later…

Koby Rollins was with his parents in the living room as they watched the television to hear the latest updates. Koby was nine years old and a fourth grader. Koby and his parents became Christians after the Rapture had occurred. Koby's paternal uncle had been a Christian and tried to warn the Rollins family about his beliefs.

When Koby's parents found the clothes of his uncle, they knew that it was time to get serious. Koby's father prayed first to become a believer, then Koby's mother, and then Koby himself. The Rollins family then started attending a church in Arlington Heights.

Koby was watching the news when all of a sudden the reporter said, "Formerly Forest View Elementary School, now Global Community Elementary School."

Koby couldn't believe the news. He and his parents all knew about Nicolae Carpathia's secret ambition to control the whole world. Koby didn't want to believe it. But with what he was seeing in front of him…Koby knew that the Romanian leader was a threat.

"Behave yourself, son. Be careful", Koby's father said to him as he drove him to the school.

"Yes, Dad", Koby said as he walked out of the door and towards the front entrance.

Koby didn't show it, but he was secretly terrified. The world had changed with all of the people that had disappeared. He knew things would only get worse.

Koby knew he had to find other Christians at Global Community Elementary School, although most of the students that were at the school had vanished.

As Koby was in the auditorium, he noticed that the only students that had been left behind were in the fourth grade and fifth grade.

Koby had a feeling that things would not be good.
