1) About this story:
In nutshell: Before I wrote a chapter in "Legacy of Two Pink Diamonds" where Pink Diamond returns. I got an idea from my friend to merge SU and the Warhammer 40k (Not like merging both universes) but in terms of where Gem Empire is Gem Imperium, The Tau Empire are Human Empire, Chaos Marines are Chaos Gems and et.c.
That's why I published a chapter called "The Shadows of Ancient Foe" to test this idea.
But before that. This story you currently in was the "first attempt" for that idea before I scrapped. But after some revision and rethinking. I decided to publish this story as a standalone story set during the Rebellion Era.
I hope you will like this concept.
2) About "The Legacy of Two Pink Diamonds"
Yeah, I know...I disappeared...
Currently, I still plan to write this story. It just in the process of the major revision to make it closer to cannon. But other than that. The story will continue.
3) About Yellow's Lustful Illusion.
I apologize if any got confused how the hell 2016 fanfic got updated in 2020
I removed the unnecessary chapter where I asked your thought if I should remove this due to pedophilia. Those who replied all said no.
Fanfiction tends to consider the deletion of your chapters as "updated" I never liked that feature.
Disclaimer: I apologize for any grammar mistakes and weak writing. I admit I'm very weak when it comes to exposition. So if you're planning to read the entire chapter fully, just bear it in mind.

"Join alongside your fallen siblings, Pink Diamond."
"The Star-Empress protects..."
With a deep sigh of regret, A Loyal "Daughter" Of White Diamond: The Starchild Mer'La De Axelon finished her sermon. It has been just 3 Homeworld days after Pink Court informed their young Pink Diamond who even barely settled her first colony...has perished.
No other than by her own traitorous Royal Guard: The Rose Quartz herself.
Mer'La still pondered deeply how it could have happened...how could Homeworld not foreseen it...how could we never even tried to intervene before it was too late...
Pink Diamond was meant to be a new Starlight: A chosen by Star Gods and White Diamond to bring Gem and Crysorian Civilization to a new era.
The Last Starlight has perished in the fires of Black Corruption, leaving our glorious White Diamond to lose everything she loved and cared in her life. You're the only thing that brought White Diamond to smile...Oh, Pink...oh in the name of all Deities we could not foresee your death...
Maybe it's a sign by Star Gods to show us how mighty we have fallen...We lost the Crysorian Federation a long time ago...We lost the Golden Imperium just an Era ago...and now even Diamonds can die from Gems.
But Homeworld endured far worse periods of its history.
Pink Diamond's death won't go quietly. The Diamond Authority will bring the traitors and heretics for their lack of faith and loyalty! There shall be Retribution
"My Starchild, I have urgent news!" Called out the voice of a Pearl Gem.
Starchild Mer'La quickly opened her eyes as soon as she heard her Pearl's voice. To honor the fallen Diamond for the last time, Starchild laid down the last candle towards the Pink Diamond's small mural and once again...prayed for Pink's soul to enter the Shroud.
Without any further delays, she stands on feet and trailed her eyes back to the altar, giving one final salute of respect headed out of her personal quarters.
Her Pearl quickly corrected her stance as soon as she heard the doors sliding open. White Pearl then proudly saluted, honoring the Purist Child of White Diamond.
"My Starchild!" White Pearl exclaimed in confident tone "White Emerald wants to see you. She will explain why."
"Thank you, My Pearl." Starchild Mer'La respectfully nodded at her "You may have free time. Don't forget to leave your respects to Pink Diamond."
"As White Diamond wills it!" Starchild's White Pearl proudly saluted once more. With one final nod, her Pearl marched away.
Starchild wasted no time and paced towards the nearest available warp pad. It won't be long before she found one and teleported to the main command bridge.
The bridge's crew is already preparing the ship for combat while Captain Emerald Of White Court is carefully observing the holographic map, tapping her chin as she watches the Pink Dots located in this System.
"Emerald," Mer'La said strictly, approaching Captain closer.
White Emerald blinked twice before realizing who speaks. Without any further pauses, The Captain of "The Radiance" quickly stood up and saluted at Starchild.
Emeralds, Nephrites, and Aquamarines often serve in the navy rather than in the White Army. Captain Cut Z-64 and Facet F-31 White Emerald, alongside Quartermaster A-13 and Facet Z-76 White Aquamarine and Navigator B-31 and Facet Q-65 White Nephrite are what Starchild calls them as "flexible leadership"
Captain of "The Radiance" serves under the Admiral Cassiterite's direct command. Recently, as the White Fleet pierced the defense line of Crystal Gems and now heading to the main colony, Admiral instructed some reserved ships to provide "cleanup" in smaller systems and assigned Starchildren like Mer'La to instruct them.
"Stars with you, My Starchild! How are you?" Captain nicely asked.
"I'm okay, I suppose..." Mer'La replied in a boring tone...it's the third time Captain asks her since she was reassigned to this ship.
"Good!" Emerald accidentally let out a small increased pitch in her voice "On behalf of "The Radiance" crew, I hope you're feeling comfortable with your presence on this ship."
Mer'La rolled her eyes from Emerald's awkward worrying...but Mer'La can't blame Captain for this behavior.
It's not hard to understand White Emerald wants to make sure Starchild will feel like home...otherwise, it would be seen disrespectful.
From all the Gem Courts in Homeworld, the Court of Great White Diamond...is uniquely different. They are the "beating heart" of Homeworld, often responsible for the bureaucracy and administration of Imperium itself. If Gem Empire is threatened by invading Xeno Empire, White Legion will take care of it.
Due to the nature of White Diamond's seclusion, it's the only court so far that never seen their Diamond's presence. The White's "Starchildren" are responsible to provide "guidance" to White Court.
The Starchildren of White Diamond was created as a "Spin-off Version" of typical Diamonds from the Authority and beyond. White Diamond intended to create a "perfect Diamond" from her own image who will work as a "presence reminder" and maintain the "unity" of the White Court.
Hence the "Starchild" name... whose duties differ from one Starchild to another in White Court.
Despite this. White Gems still must bear in mind: Starchildren are essentially are just mini "fake" White Diamonds who only contain 1% power from their Creator. Their Secluded is true leader...no exception
"Once again, Captain Emerald. Why should I not feel comfortable in your ship?" Mer'La frowned at Captain, with a small sigh in annoyance came from her grey lips.
"It's...I'm sure the atmosphere inside the Diamond Inquisition is far different from being in White Navy...considering your work with High Inquisitor Grey Diamond...I thought...I... well-"
As it's going to nowhere, Captain White Emerald bit her lip to not let out any stupid words coming from her mouth...
"Permissiontoreport?!" Emerald tried to change the subject as swiftly as possible.
"Granted" Starchild replied, crossing her arms. She still glared at Captain with no amusement whatsoever from their previous interaction.
"Apologizes for "unprofessional manner", my Starchild. I indeed, in fact, requested your presence here on the bridge." Emerald gulped, still feeling insecure from Starchild's presence.
"So you did..." Mer'La acknowledged Captain apologizes, even she loosened her threating stance "What it will be, Emerald?"
"Pink Peridot finally lost her "durability" on us, My Starchild! That traitorous Gem we captured from that station raid will now comply with your cause. Allow her personally to assist you. GUARDS! BRING HER!"
With Emerald's clear command, the Bridge's main entrance doors would open with Two White Amethyst Guards dragging Pink Peridot into the command bridge. They would throw her in front of Starchild's armored boots, before returning to their duties.
Pink Peridot left deep gasps for air as she struggled to get on her elbows. She suffered brutal injuries as she was tortured by Prison Guards to make her talk. Of course, Peridots are durable Gems...but even the strongest shell can be break into pieces.
Yet with all energy left in her ruined gemstone, Pink Peridot managed to raise her head to witness the Starchild's presence, who laid her hand on her hip as she smugly looked back at Pink Tratior...this the where the fun begins...
"Ready to talk, Heretic?"
The Traitor whimpered in fear...Starchild can hear she cursed Rose Quartz's and Pink Diamond's names. After that, Pink Peridot just laid her head down to the floor as she lost all energy.
"T-the-This se-sector is hidden supp-supp- supply line for our ma-main fleet on P-pink's Col-colony's Sector" Pink Peridot stuttered.
Starchild Mer'La's expression turned into furious anger...what a waste of time!
Peridot Class Gems often handed the logistics of Gemperium's equipment across its territories. They could have learned very valuable intel from her...if that Peridot didn't slack off on her job.
"Star Dammit!" Emerald cursed as well, admitting how much time she wasted to make that Peridot speak.
"Captain Emerald" Starchild slowly shifted her eyes at Captain, giving a warning look. "Don't tell me you brought me here for some "Convoy Raiding"
"OF COURSE NOT!" Emerald assured, making nervous laugh. But to not disappoint Starchild any further, White Emerald quickly rushed to the holographic projection of the System and zoomed towards the Pink Dots.
"But my Starchild. I also want to add that our long-range scanners detected the possible convoy's presence in this sector. I believe they are using the Warp Pad to travel towards Pink's Colony...they are in fact supplying our enemy on Pink Colony."
"Interesting...what are the class of these ships, Traitor?" Starchild Mer'La added, gaining a little interest.
"A Ca-cargo Cl-class ship with a sma-ll escort. We used th-them to deliver supplies to Pi-Pink's Colony. We cap-captured them after Ro-Rose kil-killed the P-Pink Ty-Tyrant" Peridot added.
"And where you're getting your supplies from?" Starchild continued.
"Some...Dia-Diamond from outside of Authority is...is supply-ing us. That's...a-ll I kn-ow." Pink Peridot explained, still groaning in pain.
"Hmm, you're getting desperate, Rose Quartz" Mer'La thought aloud. It's not difficult to realize the so-called "Crystal Rebellion" is being squashed...it's a matter of time of Homeworld's ultimate victory.
"Though it's not a huge convoy. We still may cut their supply line in this sector, my Starchild." Captain advised.
"You heard her, Emerald. Soon Pink's Colony will be brought to our control. That convoy will become obsolete."
"Look, My Starchild" Emerald begins with slight fear on her voice, it's too risky but she will take her chance to at least explain her own motives.
"I do understand it's not worth our time, yet it's not mythology you're "the harshest" when it comes to the purification of Traitors. I would like you to remind that Admiral Cassiterite is personally will take care of Main Crystal Fleet."
"And you are not part of that assault, Emerald?" Mer'La calmly asked.
"No, I'm not. Admiral generously granted my request to engage any Rebel Fleet outside of Pink's main Sector. But since the Star Council assigned you to us. It's up to you for the final decision." Emerald added, waiting patiently.
"Hmm" Starchild nods slowly, still considering Emerald's offer.
"But as your advisor" Captain continued further "I suggest engaging that convoy. In return, we will get more hostages...thus we might gain more information about Crystal Rebellion. After all, even if we will bring the Pink's Colony under our fold. The Rebellion won't magically end."
Starchild Me'rla only made a small nod, acknowledging Emerald's suggestion. Yet instead of a straight answer, she slowly approached the frontal window of the bridge and stared at the dark abyss of the universe.
Her eyes caught on the distant stars shining far away. Strangely, it reminded her time working as "White's Messenger" to Grey Diamond's Inquisition.
Starchild especially remembers the words that Grey Diamond said about the origins of our beliefs and devotion: How in the far distant history of Pre-Gem Homeworld, a shaman named Chy'ros Vala'Raskar believed that the stars we see on the sky are Celestrial Bodies of Gods, always observing us from the skies.
And then she remembers this specific words that still haunts her...
"Treachery to a Diamond is a Heresy to Star Gods."
Grey Diamond argued to her the Diamonds are "Children" of Dio-Mo: The Goddess of Beauty, Perfection, and Admiration. It followed like this:
Trough Goddess Dio-mo: White Diamond was born from the stars.
Trough White Diamond: Golden Diamond unified Homeworld and forged a new Homeworld Empire.
Trough Golden Diamond: Gems were created to spread the Diamond's Authority across the galaxy.
When some pathetic Gem defies her Diamond's will.
Not only she curses her Diamond to the abyss.
She shuns both White Diamond and Dio-Mo's statuses as "Goddesses".
And Now Imagine the Scenario:
If Rose Quartz will succeed in gaining her independence. Then what?
Will she create a new Empire led by a QUARTZ?!
Will her beliefs spread towards Homeworld itself?
Will she be then worshipped as a new Goddess instead of White Diamond?!
That's the true nature of Gem Heresy
And if nobody will contain that heresy.
It will spread far and far until it will be too late...
Strangely, Grey Diamond's words made Starchild realize why this Rebellion is so dangerous.
Yet Inquisitor spoke the truth.
Crystal Gems must be stopped!
"You're right, my Emerald." Mer'La sighed, finally admitting Captain's wisdom "One must start from the small to achieve anything. We deal with these convoys first and will join with Cassiterite. As for hostages...full Extermination of Pink Court. Loyal or Not."
Pink Peridot raised her head in disbelief from hearing this. These bastards promised her freedom if she would comply...Star Damm White Diamond to Underlife!
"With all due respect, my Starchild. Is the extermination of Pink Gems really necessary to you?" Emerald questioned.
To that kind answer, it's often difficult to explain to a Gem...so Mer'La must make Emerald understand how any Rebellions truly work...with some improvisation.
"Captain Emerald, my time in Diamond Inquisition taught me a valuable lesson I never will forget. Allow me to quote Grey Diamond's own words."
"It is said that Treachery is like a tree:
"Its roots lie in Darkness, while its leaves wave in the sun."
"You can prone away its branches, even cut the Tree down,"
"But it will grow again ever Stronger"
"Such is the Nature of Heresy and why it is so difficult to destroy."
As she quoted, Starchild Mer'La returned to the Pink Peridot to finish once and for all. She pulled out her "Gem Annihilator" blaster from her hip-holster and aimed it at Peridot's head.
The hostage didn't raise her head...perhaps out of energy or didn't want to see the incoming shattering.
"Please, My Starchild! I acknow-ledge I have been sed-uced by Rose's false promises. For that, I ask for White Dia-mond's Mercy! I shall endure any punishment! JUST DON'T SHAT-TER ME!" Pink Peridot began to cry begging desperately.
Mer'La lowered her pistol and sighed in annoyance from pathetic crying. But she will grant her mercy as White Diamond wills...in her own way
Without any response further, Starchild turned her body away from Pink Peridot and aimed her blaster at hostage once again. Her head turned to Emerald to make her final point.
"Some may question my right to destroy a Court of 2 million Gemstones, Emerald.
"But those who truly understand realize I have no right to let them live"
*Sound of Starchild's Blaster being charged*
"No Sacrifice is too great"
"No Trechary too Small"
*BLAM*
It was instant...White Emerald didn't saw the shot itself, yet witnessed Peridot's shards collapsing to the floor.
It felt...disturbing to witness harsh brutality from a Starchild. She always was told Starchildren are striving to become like their creator: a humble, merciful and caring Diamond. It can't true White Diamond herself is such cruel to Gems...
"Ready the ship, Captain. Heresy grows from idleness." Starchild put her blaster back into the holster and moving towards the window.
"As White Diamond wills!" Emerald saluted.
Quickly gesturing someone to clean shards of that shattered traitor...and avoiding her sight on shards, Captain Emerald rushed back to her seat. She pushed a button to turn on her microphone...Yet she stopped.
Captain completely forgot not all of the crew even know White Diamond's Starchild is present on this ship. It would be a good idea if Starchild will raise her crew's morale and hunger for battle.
"My Starchild!" Emerald called out, turning the intercom off. "I believe you should speak to the crew. A speech from "Daughter of White Diamond" will be good morale for them!"
"Good thinking, Captain." Mer'La agreed.
No time-wasting, Starchild approached to where Emerald is standing. Captain once again turned on the intercom, nodding to Starchild to begin. Mer'La leaned closer to the microphone.
"Attention proud Crew of "The Radiance..." She then stops, clearing her throat and leaned a bit closer. "As a simple Starchild, bestowed by our White Diamond to "guide you". I call you to join me to purge these traitors and unbelievers in the name of Our Great Diamond!"
"But do not mistake my words for I'm talking to you as an equal!"
"We all servants of Her Brightness, no matter what rank we are!"
"Together, we have seen Her glory burn away the darkness!"
"We have seen the Gem Empire's indomitable ferocity unleashed upon its countless enemies!"
"We have seen courage and honor displayed in the White Diamond's name!"
"We have seen the unwavering loyalty and righteousness that she inspired!"
"No Traitor Forces could withstand the White Diamond's wrath!"
"No fury could overcome her protection!"
"Her's light cleanses even the Darkest Corruption, sunders even the strongest curse."
"Her glory brings salvation to those who embrace Her light. Even the Off-Colored are offered the chance of redemption in the White's service."
"Through shattering, sacrifice, duty, and honor. These are what our Diamond requires of us."
"SO ONCE AGAIN!"
"JOIN ME AND LET US HONOR THEIR NAMES!"
"-FOR ADMIRAL CASSITERITE!"
"-FOR OUR STAR GODS!"
"FOR THE STAR-EMPRESS OF GEMKIND!"
"FOR OUR IMMORTAL WHITE DIAMOND!"
"AND FOR THE IMPERIAL WHITE NAVY!"
Ending the speech, the Crew of the Bridge cheered and applauded at Starchild for an excellent speech. Mer'La humbly nodded at them, thanking them for applauses. No words needed to them for she knows they will follow her even straight to underlife if needed.
"White Emerald...your stage is on!" She granted her blessings
"With duty and honor!" Emerald proudly saluted. Then she directed her attention towards her crew "Quartermaster Aquamarine, inform the Peridots to start the engines. Nephrite, Set course towards the asteroid field!"
"UNDERSTOOD!" They both said in unison.
As Emerald commanded, The Radiance's Engines ignited in yellow flames, creating that gentle "humming" noise inside the bridge. A bit later, the engines blasted in full might as the ship slowly started heading towards the small asteroid field.
In the meantime, Starchild reached out for her data-pad and activated it to record her findings. Mostly it needed in case if something happens with her or with "The Radiance."
"Starchild Mer'La of Alexon Dynasty, Data-Log Cut XC-9." She begins, making a small pause. "Captain Emerald Cut Z-64 and Facet F-31 Of Diamond-Class Dreadnought "The Radiance" gained intel of the Traitorous supply line flowing through Sector Z-31. We are on way to end this. "
She deactivates it and paced back to the window to observe the surroundings of "The Radiance"
"Quartermaster Aquamarine" Navigator Nephrite called out for her co-worker "I have calculated the best possible route for us to pass safely, sending the coordinates to your terminal!"
"Acknowledged, Nephrite" Quartermaster confirms she received it "Setting the course by your calculation!"
The Radiance changed its trajectory movement to where Navigator suggested. Thankfully, Nephrite's calculation was right as there is a huge gap between the asteroids that even a medium-sized ship without any problem could enter the field.
As they entered the asteroid gap, "The Radiance" decreased its speed for easier maneuver. So far so good...for now.
"Do you have anything? Nephrite?" Emerald broke the silence.
"Still static, My Emerald!" Nephrite replies. She keeps increasing and decreasing the power of the ship's radars, hoping she will catch something on a far distance.
10 minutes will pass before the silence was broke when Nephrite's Terminal began to emit the sound of the alarm. Navigator immediately spun her chair to check what is going on in her terminal.
"What's wrong, Nephrite?" Emerald called out.
"I have one Signal, 12 of Zika (Clock)." Navigator cried out
"What, already?!" Emerald was puzzled, not expecting to encounter the convoy sooner. But double-checking never hurt anyone. She jumped from captain chair and rushed to the frontal window, she grabbed her binoculars to zoom in what Nephrite's radar got.
it's not a rebel ship, unfortunately. But a huge amount of mines blocking the path towards the Warp Pad Station...and "The Radiance's" is heading straight right into one of the mines.
"Clever" Starchild thought aloud...it's sure it must be the convoy's line. These minefields can be programmed to only target the ships that are aligned to a specific court...ironically they're painted in pink...figures.
Emerald put her binocular back and turned around to inform about the pending danger. "All available power to maneuver thrusters! We are going to execute a high energy stop!"
"Acknowledged!" Aquamarine replied, quickly rerouting available power towards maneuver thrusters.
The Radiance's left side thruster burst in hot flames, turning the entire ship to a 30% degree. Thus they avoided hitting "The Radiance's" noise against the mine.
"High Energy stop successful, Captain! Decreasing the power of main engines!"
"Inform Master Gunner White Jasper to prepare broadside turrets and cannons to clear our path!" Emerald ordered.
"Aknowle-" Aquamarine was quickly interrupted when Nephrite's terminal again began to emit the alarm.
Once again, Nephrite starts to examine the pending threat. She made a little gasp, not excepting that too soon.
"Captain Emerald! More signals at 3 of Zika...and they are moving towards us!"
Captain Emerald rushed to the frontal window. She used her binocular too zoom at their targets. The captain can with no doubt confirm at least 4 Crystal Gem's Medium-sized Frigates with 2 Cargo Class ships heading to where "The Radiance" is currently in.
"Must have jammed their signals before we entered the asteroid field." Emerald cursed at herself, removing her binoculars.
"Yet they revealed themselves to us, Emerald. 6 frigates against the entire Dreadnought is like a 6 Pearls against a Diamond." Mer'La commented.
"What are you suggest then, my lady? Should we attack?"
"You know my answer, Emerald." Starchild then pats Emerald's shoulder. "Go with White's blessing, my friend. Bring them to justice!"
"As you wish" White Emerald nodded and went back.
Taking a chance, Aquamarine raised her hand to get Captain's attention. "Captain! Master Gunner informs us all broadside cannons are ready on your order."
"Set a target to closest rebel frigate to us. But do not engage until my command. We make a little surprise for our friends."
"By your order, Captain."
As such, "The Radiance" remained still to make then Crystal Fleet believe they have been disabled by a minefield. Captain Emerald is not sure if it will work truly. Stars, she not even sure if Crystal Fleet even bought their little surprise...but doesn't matter that much as the Crystal Fleet is not retreating...more fun for them.
"Steady" Emerald raised her hand, informing Aquamarine to be ready.
The Crystal Fleet began to slow down as well, Emerald can perfectly see their turrets and cannons are also targeting at them.
"Steady!" Emerald squeezed her fingers.
The closest Frigate starts to turn maneuver itself to left, trying to pass "The Radiance" first...
"FIRE!"
"The Radiance" with all might on its arsenal fired her rounds. The Pink Frigate stood no chance against that ferocious firepower as their ship caused the Pink Frigate's shields to go down, set it on fire and make the enemy ship lose its gravity sphere.
"DIRECT HIT! NOT EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO RESPOND!" White Aquamarine reported! rasing her fist in the air
"Good work!" Captain Emerald, alongside the bridge's crew, cheered at that sight. Only Starchild remained calm and cautious.
Even better, with that bombardment delivery, the hostile frigate's core engine caused a chain reaction, making the entire ship to explode with the strong blast. Only a dying sound of engines made its final roar...before going silent for eternity.
Witnessing the destruction one of their escort ships. Two Cargo Class Ships broke their formation and start to scatter from each other. The Pink Frigates remained still in their formation...yet they didn't fire...interesting.
"Rose Quartz's finest rebels" everyone. What a pathetic excuse..." Emerald chuckled, Admiral Cassiterite definitely will enjoy hearing this.
"Don't get cocky, Emerald. One down, five still left." Mer'La commented, but even she can't deny the humiliation. Such as the fate for all enemies of White Diamond.
"Understood. All Personal, engage on our-"
"Captain Emerald!" Aquamarine yelled out, interrupting her "My apologies, my lady. I believe you want to hear this! We have a pending transmission request from one of the Rebel ships."
"Huh...interesting..." Emerald hummed at herself...but she turned back at Starchild if she will provide her own opinion.
"Let them. Might us make my job easier if they surrender."
"Set the link, Aquamarine. I will deal with them." Captain gestured at Aquamarine to proceed.
Emerald went to the transmission table and pressed her finger on the screen, accepting the pending request transmission. In front of her, a holographic projection of Pink Topaz formed to Emerald.
Upon this sight, Captain would have burst in laugh if she wasn't near the Starchild's presence. Topaz Class Gems are not specialized in Navy Leadership...but It's Crystall Rebellion we are talking about. So Emerald will be not surprised if Crystal Rebellion would lead a random Pearl if Rose gets shattered...
"Captain White Emerald. The Pink Sixth Fleet kindly ask your reason for destroying one of our ships?" Topaz asked calmly.
Captain Emerald found herself dumbfound from hearing this. Even Starchild frowned her face upon this as she approached Emerald.
"Well, "Captain" Pink Topaz." Mer'La hissed, she defiantly didn't take the Topaz's Question " You probably didn't notice...but you're a filthy heretical traitor who defied your Diamond's Will in the name of someone pathetic Guard!" She left it out her rage on Topaz/
The Pink Topaz completely ignored the Starchild's tantrum. She only tied her hands behind her back as she began to provide the explanation.
"We are not Crystal Rebels, White Diamond's servant. We are renegade remnant of Pink Court who is under the protection of the Crystal Rebels. We deliver supplies through this sector, we mean no harm to you."
"YOU-" Starchild was about to begin but Emerald showed her palm that she will take care of it.
"IF that is a case, Topaz. Who you're supplying your resources?"
"All the supplies you see are going for Pink Zoo, Captain. Pink Diamond has abandoned her zoo after the uprising but Rose Quartz still cares for organics there. She can't personally assist them due to ongoing conflict on Colony. So in exchange for letting us free, we agree to supply them with the provision for them to survive."
Emerald awkwardly scratched her cheek. Now that she knows what are intentions of that Supply line, she feels...somehow guilty for destroying that frigate earlier...maybe she still not get used to this war...but that's mostly the case of nearly all Gems that are fighting right now.
"Once again, Captain Emerald." Topaz continued further "We do not seek to fight you for we know White Diamond's wrath shall be brutal and merciless upon us. We kindly ask you to let us pass through this minefield and towards the Warp Pad. We promise you won't see our presence...ever again."
At first, Captain Emerald looked at Starchild if she will provide guidance...but her furious expression is a clear sign she will not take kindly for Captain siding with traitors.
And then she looked at Topaz who is waiting patiently...but even Captain can see Topaz is desperate as well.
Emerald really wants to provide a direct answer to Captain Topaz. Yet she found herself in a conflicted state between Starchild's Genocidal Policy and Topaz's goal.
She fully understands the Topaz's reasons and they're quite humble and noble ...yet they are enemies to each other and a common Gem must do what she always does... yet the Natives of Pink's Colony are not part of this conflict...they probably even know what is going on...Star Dammit this war!
Emerald caressed her own cheek before admitting to herself she can't do anything about it. So, setting her eyes at Topaz. Emerald let out the voice of sympathy.
"I... I don't know, Topaz. I-"
Little did she know it's was enough for Starchild's "tolerance" to fade away. Out of nowhere, The Servant of White Diamond pushed Emerald away and slammed the button, abrupting the Topaz's transmission.
"My lady, what are you doing!?" Emerald worriedly asked.
Starchild's answer was a slap to Emerald's cheek, making Captain flinch in pain. "How DARE you to even doubt the White Diamond's will, Emerald!" Starchild yelled "They are deceiving you, trying to turn you on their side!"
"But my Starchild! She-" Emerald tried to explain the Topaz's goals.
Once again. She was abrupt by Starchild's hand grabbing her throat. "DOUBTS, EMERALD! YOU ALWAYS DOUBTING! I won't stand the presence of HERESY AND TREACHERY in this Court! YOU KNOW REPECAUTIONS!"
"B-but-...the Na-tives of Pink's Colony. They-" Emerald tried to remind about The Zoomans.
"I don't give single care for some Xeno race, Emerald! A Loyal and Faithful subject of Immortal White Diamond shall serve only to your species...not some filthy race who only will fight for their mud!"
Starchild Mer'La then leaned her face closer to Emerald's, making sure Captain stares at her eyes as she makes the next point.
"And I promise you, Emerald. That "Humanity" Race won't be kind to you either. If we leave them alone, they will build their space Empire, they will show no mercy towards us or any Xenos they will encounter. It's us or them!"
Ending her exposition, Starchild dropped Captain to the floor and turned away. After that, there is a small silent pause between them, but Emerald knows Starchild is coming with her verdict.
"Captain Emerald Cut Z-64 and Facet F-31 Of White Fleet." Starchild began in the menacing voice, once again she turned to face Captain "As a Servant to our White Diamond, I declare you as a "Rebel Sympathizer" and a "Heretic" for defying her's will! Yet, I will grant you mercy...until your judgment will arrive on Homeworld. Guards, Arrest her!"
The two White Amethyst Guards who brought Pink Peridot earlier stomped to Captain Emerald. They furiously pinned her down to the floor and handcuffed her hands and legs.
"Should we put her in the cell, my Starchild?" One of the Amethyst Guard's asked, lifting Emerald on her knees.
"No need. Leave her here. I want to know if Emerald completely was seduced by Topaz's temptation." She replied.
Navigator Nephrite then raised her hand, asking for an allowance to question."
"What is it, Navigator?" Starchild blew her hair away from her eyes.
"What about the command, My Starchild...are we also are...heretics?" Nephrite asked...even her voice have a clear sign of fear.
"All of you except Emerald are pure in my eyes, Nephrite...for now." Starchild said the last part in quite a tone. But she returned it back to normal as she is not finished "As for the command, I'm taking over until further notice."
"As you wish!" Nephrite with two Amethyst Guards saluted in respect. The guards then dragged Captain White Emerald to her seat and throw her to it before they left the bridge.
"You're lucky I respect you, Emerald. The others would have shot you immediately."
"No doubt. I bet they are fun at parties as you're...my Starchild." Emerald replied in a passive-aggressive tone.
"Correct...yet there always exceptions, my darling." Starchild Mer'La snickered at Emerald's attempt to insult her.
But despite her own entitlement, Mer'La can't deny the truth her Captain speaks. Those who served White Diamond as a "Starchild" since Era 0 do take their duties seriously, even it's a little thing...failure is not an option for them.
Era 1 Starchildren are less serious about what is happening around them. Starchild Zai'Ra De Axelon who was "blessed" by White Diamond in early Era 1 is no exception to that, unfortunately.
Mer'La lips perked up a bit...oh, Zai'Ra: that deviant young woman. Your bright nature and positive attitude are like a burning light in the darkness for your mother. If you took your duties seriously..you already would have risen to the top.
Maeby after the Rebellion. She will have a serious talk with her...but right now
The Hunt Begins
"Quartermaster!" Starchild clapped her hands to get the crew's attention "Make sure the cannons are ready to fire!"
"All is ready, My Starchild. Just say the word!"
Moving her hair away from eyes, Starchild glared at the ship's window to see what "Renegade" Pink Fleet is doing. As she expected it, the two frigates are trying to pass "The Radiance". Seems Topaz decided to not waste time anymore.
"Make them repent for their heresy, Aquamarine! Fire!"
And once again, the broadside plasma cannons of "The Radiance" fired towards these ships. Starchild had no doubt it would easy victory...until now.
While the two frigates got hit by "The Radiance's" rounds. Their shields managed to protect their hull integrity. The rest completely missed other ships.
"Direct Hit on those frigates...zero damage to their armor, my Starchild!" Aquamarine reported, slapping her own forehead in disbelief.
"Then get ready for another round!" Starchild commanded.
The Quartermaster starts to send a message across the ship. In the meantime, Navigator Nephrite's Terminal starts to flash in alarm. Nephrite starts to examine what this going on. This time however she gasped in horror.
"Milady! They sent Ion Torpedo towards us! Zero chances to deflect it!"
"THEN BRACE FOR IMPACT!" She quickly gripped against the table and covered her eyes with her free arm. The Ion torpedo tends to create a flashing sphere of the explosion... too dangerous for any eyes, even for Gem.
The Ion Torpedo flew straight right into them. Once it collided with "The Radiance's" hull, it caused a massive electric shockwave through the entire ship, making all lights go down and all systems on the bridge to malfunction.
"...just minutes passed since my "reassignment" and already we're being humiliated" Emerald cursed quietly at herself.
"All systems are in critical state!" Aquamarine worriedly reported, she then starts rebooting her own terminal "I'm activating the emergency backup engine to resume limited functionality! Stand by for my voice!"
"Stars with you, Aquamarine!" Starchild praised "You honor White Diamond with your duty!"
"Proud to serve, Starchild!"
In the meantime, The Renegade fleet used the advantage and began to pass "The Radiance" why it's being disabled.
"Hurry!" Starchild worryingly yelled back at Aquamarine..who in all power tries to be as quick as possible.
"Almost done..." Quartermaster mumbled to herself. Once she is nearly finished, she made a final dramatic slam to the button, causing the backup engines to distribute power to the ship.
And thanks to Aquamarine's efforts. All lights and terminals on the bridge reactivated.
"THERE! Resuming normal functions! Master Gunner reports the Plasma Cannons are 100% functional and ready to go!"
"Good, Aquamarine. Now show them our teeth!"
For the third time, The Radiance fired it's round on the Heretical Fleet. This time, however, they successfully hit One Pink Frigate and a Cargo Ship. Both didn't handle that much damage and all exploded in its full glory.
Starchild perked up from the sight. Perhaps their ship was finally being blessed by White Diamond's Holly Light...Oh, Star-Mother! Thank you for everything!
As "The Radiance" is reloading its cannons. The remaining Two Frigates and One Cargo Ship increased their speed and start to fly quicker and quicker. They successfully passed the Dreadnought as the "Radiance" turrets are not powerful enough to destroy a ship and are fleeing from White Diamond's fury.
As Starchild excepted, the minefields completely ignored the Renegade Fleet. Thankfully, they also decreased their speed for easier maneuver. It's a great chance!"
"My Starchild! We ready for another round!" Once again Aquamarine reported.
"Tell them to stand by, for now, Aquamarine. Start the engine for steady speed and return the ship towards the minefield. We shall chase them!"
"Understood!" Quartermaster then sends a message to start the engines.
Using the side thrusters, "The Radiance" managed to turn itself to give the chase. In the meantime, their turrets will destroy every mine they encounter...if Starchild has to report why "The Radiance" wasted so much ammunition then so be it...
The Renegade Fleet grew desperate to the point that one of the frigates collided right into the mine, the destruction of that ship was instant...
But the chase continued. It won't be long before "The Radiance" and Renegade Fleet left the asteroid field and flew closer and closer to Warp Pad.
Starchild's expression turned into a cocky smile. It's amusement how these heretics are fleeing...yet her smile broke when the remaining escorting frigate began to turn back to face "Radiance" direction.
"What they are planning now?" Mer'La frowned.
"It seems they want to buy time for the cargo ship to escape," Aquamarine suggested.
"Is the main battery laser is ready to fire?" Mer'La asked with temper.
"Negative! We can't distribute the limited power to main battery cannon, Starchild!" Aquamarine exclaimed back.
Mer'La tapped her fingers to think of something, they could use maneuver thrusters for broadside bombardment but they will waste time...Unless...Of course!
How could she not think about it!
"Aquamarine! Distribute the remaining power to our shields! We're going to ram them!"
"You're gonna destroy the shields, Starchild!" Emerald tried to stop her.
"As I said, Emerald If we shall be shattered this day, then by White Diamond's will, it shall be so! Aquamarine, you heard my command!"
The Aquamarine trough intercom informed the Peridots around the ship to provide all available power to strengthen "The Radiance's" shields. In the meantime, that frigate went full speed towards "The Radiance". Navigator Nephrite began to notice a strange huge amount of energy reading from that Frigate...It seems...
"Star dammit!" Nephrite jumped out from her chair and rushed to Aquamarine "Aquamarine, start the evasive maneuvers! THEY OVERLOADED THEIR ENGINES!"
"What!?" Starchild gasped in fear. "AQUAMARINE! DO SOMETHING!"
"I CAN"T! NO POWER!" Aquamarine exclaimed.
"DAMMIT!" Mer'La cursed...these rebels are playing her like a DAMM FIDDLE!
In all it's beauty. The remaining Pink Frigate and "The Radiance" rammed against each other. The Frigate didn't survive the behemoth's ram. But it's explosion was so huge that "The Radiance's" Interior violently shooked. Not to add the Frigate's debris began to crash against the armored plate of Dreadnought.
"Status Report!" Starchild gripped to the nearest terminal to make she won't fall down.
"The Shields are down!" Aquamarine replied, nearly falling down as another debris hit the ship "Multiple breaches on the nose section! The Engine Core is 83% functional!"
"I had enough of these games! Distribute all available power to the ship engines, leave some from the main battery cannon. We finish off that Cargo Ship once and for all." Mer'La grifted...these traitors will pay for this humiliation! "
"But, my Starchild. They going to warp themselves from the system any second! We won't catch them!"
"Then follow them through Warp Pad!" Starchild demanded.
"THE SHIP WON'T HANDLE THE WARP VOYAGE! YOU'RE GONNA KILL US ALL!" Emerald screamed at Starchild.
"I have a plan, Emerald! One final score on that ship and we're out!" Starchild tried to assure her.
"You're not making it better!" Emerald cursed.
"Have some faith in me, Stardammit!" Starchild then directed her attention towards Quartermaster "Aquamarine! You heard my command!"
"With courage and honor, I'm activating Gellar Shields against Hyperspace's exposure! White's Light shall be praised!"
"The Radiance", despite all that bullying from the Convoy, once again moved towards the Warp Pad. Unfortunately, as Aquamarine predicted, they lost their chance to end the last ship as it entered the Warp Pad and vanished from their sight.
Yet the stubbornness of her "temporary" captain made "The Radiance" to chase it straight into Warp Pad. It won't be long before the Dreadnought positioned itself in front of the glowing portal of Warp Pad.
"Initiating Warp-Drive Engine on, Standby!" Aquamarine informed everyone, using her intercom.
"Please, My Starchild. Just stop! It's not worth it!" Emerald pleaded...but no avail. Starchild completely ignored Emerald's pleading.
But even White Diamond's servant admits "Warp Travel" is dangerous, even for a Gem fleet. All she can do to make her crew have "faith" in White Diamond's name. She got on her knees and prayed quietly for White Diamond's protection during the voyage.
"50% sequence is complete!" Aquamarine reported
"Starchild!" Emerald tried once again to reach for her sanity "Don't do this!"
"White Diamond shines, my Sisters." Starchild replies, not even noting Emerald's voice "I'm blessed to have all of you with me!"
Finishing her sermon and knowing her White Diamond won't abandon them. She all in confidence raised on her feet as "The Radiance's" interior began to buzz with Warp Engines is in the process of powering up.
"The Warp Engine's sequence is complete. Beginning the final procedure!" Aquamarine pushed the intercom's button to warn the staff
Outside, the engines of Radiance are now emitting the pure White flames. Now it's time.
"Initiation the Warp Hyper jump in 5-"

"ENGAGING"
On the Aquamarine's account, the entire ship warped itself from the system. It was a too instant moment that nobody even noticed they were warped from the Materium Universe. Now "The Radiance" is now inside the white tunnel of hyperspace, going with intense light speed.
"Starchild! We are on their tail!" Aquamarine called out, not believing what she is seeing.
And she is not wrong. "The Radiance" is catching Renegade Cargo Ship, getting closer and closer to that wretched ship. Finally, White Diamond BLESSED them once again!
"See, Emerald. No one escapes from White Diamond's Fury!" Starchild smiled from all of this...it's a MIRACLE! IT'S STAR DAMM MIRACLE!
But her ensuring words didn't make Emerald any less worried. At this point, Captain Emerald would have retired from the service if she was told who Starchild Mer'La is truly is...
In the meantime, Quartermaster Aquamarine noticed the concerning anomaly. Her terminal shows the massive destabilization of Warp-Engine, not to add it's overheating massively.
But Aquamarine's worse nightmare has arrived..her Terminal began to inform a massive rise of temperature in Warp Engine...more than 100°C per second
"Oh, no!" Aquamarine yelped in fear, directing her eyes at Mer'La "My Starchild! The Warp Engine is not handling the sequence! Recommend commencing the abrupt Warp Jump cancellation! If not, we might face unforeseen consequences!"
"Have a faith, Aquamarine. We will make it!" Mer'La ensured their eventual success.
"But the Warp Engine-"
"HAVE A FAITH!"
"But-"
"JUST HAVE SOME STARDAMM FAITH, AQUAMARINE!"
"LISTEN TO YOURSELF! YOUR OBSESSION WITH HERESY MADE YOUR NO BETTER THAN COMMON HERETIC!" Emerald finally snapped out her anger towards Starchild.
"No, Emerald! We need more time!" Starchild excused herself.
"TIME? TIME FOR WHAT?! TIME FOR VAPORIZING US FROM EXISTENCE!? IS THIS YOU WANT!?"
"Emerald! White-" Starchild want to remind Emerald of her duty towards White Diamond.
"IS IS THAT OUR WHITE DIAMOND WANTS FROM US! SUICIDE!?"
"No, but-"
"THEN STOP THIS MADNESS!"
"Please, Starchild! LISTEN TO OUR CAPTAIN! THE WARP ENGINE IS GONNA EXPLODE FROM DESTABILIZATION! JUST GIVE ME A COMMAND TO END THIS!" Even Aquamarine started to beg in tears.
"WHY YOU CAN"T DO IT YOURSELF! AQUAMARINE!" Emerald screamed at Quartermaster's lack of action.
"I DON"T WANT TO GO ACID POOL, EMERALD! I JUST NEED APPROVAL!" Quartermaster began to cry...now longer she can stare at her terminal to see the temperature of the Warp Engines.
At this point, even Starchild began to panic as she keeps glaring at that Cargo Ship and back at her handcuffed Captain. Her devotion towards White Diamond is no longer helping her anymore.
Worse, the Emergency alarms turned on as the humming of the ship's engines became louder and louder. Not to add all equipment starts going crazy on them.
"Nephrite! If we stop the sequence now! Where we will be warped?" Starlight finally asked something.
"I DON'T KNOW! THE NAVIGATION GONE FULL CRAZY ON ME! IT SAYS EVERYTHING: ANDROMEDA! MILKY WAY, ANOTHER UNIVERSE, EVERYTHING POSSIBLE!"
"DOESN'T MATTER! JUST END IT NOW OR WE ALL BE VAPORIZED!" Emerald tried to reach for Starchild's mind.
"I CAN'T, EMERALD! I HAVE MY OWN ORDERS! FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!" Starchild cried out in a desperate voice.
Emerald finally had enough from all of this, even if her arms and legs handcuffed...but it didn't stop her. So she jumped from her seat and crawled towards her, thank the stars Starchild wasn't that far away
"LISTEN TO ME! YOU HAVE A CHILD, RIGHT!?" Emerald tried to keep her head up to glare at Mer'La.
"What?" Starchild was shocked hearing this. Never in her existence, she expected that kind of question to be addressed...even from Gem.
in disbelief, she looked down at Captain...Emerald finally managed to make Starchild listen...at least for a short time.
"How-" Starchild wanted to ask her..only to be interrupted by Emerald's angry tone.
"JUST ANSWER ME, STARDAMMIT!"
"YES, I HAVE! WHY IT'S MATTER NOW?" Starchild yelled back. No longer she can maintain her own calm state...it's all going to downhill.
"ASK YOURSELF! DO YOUR CHILD WANTS TO LOSE HER ONLY MOTHER!?"
"BUT WHITE DIAMOND-" Mer'La wanted to explain it didn't matter if She and Zai'Ra are related. White Diamond is true "Mother To All"
"NO! WHITE DIAMOND IS NOT HER MOTHER! YOU'RE! YOU BROUGHT HER TO THIS GALAXY! YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR HER!"
"I-" Starchild's eyes began to tear.
"DO YOU WANT TO MAKE HER TO LOSE YOU!"
"I-"
"ANSWER ME!"
"NO, EMERALD! NEVER!" She finally snapped it out.
"THEN STOP THIS! STOP IT NOW!"
Merla once again looked back at that Cargo Ship. At this point, they are losing it completely. Emerald was right...she dragged her own sisters right into Shatteron's Scythe.
"I-I'm no better than a common traitor, am I?"
"YOU SAID TO US!" Emerald continued. "EVEN THE OFF-COLORED ARE OFFERED THE CHANCE OF REDEMPTION IN THE WHITE'S SERVICE!"
"NOW IT'S YOUR TURN TO REDEEM YOURSELF!"
"DO IT NOT FOR OUR WHITE DIAMOND!"
BUT FOR US!
"FOR YOUR STAR-BROTHERS AND SISTERS!"
"AND IMPORTANTLY: FOR YOUR OWN CHILD!"
"My Diamond, forgive me!" Like a hammer against fate. Starchild finally was broken. She personally stormed towards Aquamarine's console and pushed the Quartermaster away.
Mer'La abrupted the distribution to Warp-Engines and slapped her palm against the console, deactivating the warp sequence completely. in these circumstances, Starchild believed it would over. She believed The ship would leave the Hyperspace and find itself in a random place in the universe...but it's better to die for nothing...
But The Stars Gods are not that forgiving...
Aquamarine's Terminal showed "Error" on the entire screen before it completely exploded on her, making the Starchild crash against the wall. It was too late. The Warp Engine's Destraballization caused all systems to not respond for commands...nothing will save them.
Nephrite with Aquamarine hugged each other, with the White fairy crying in tears as she begs the Stars Gods to grant her eternal life.
Captain Emerald stared at White Tunnel of Hyperspace, before directing her eyes at Starchild. Her face filled with all sadness...and disappointment. Her face made Starchild realize...it's the end of them.
Releasing a breath, Starchild slowly made herself limp towards the cracking window of the bridge. With all regret for everything she did to the Crew of "Radiance", she clenched her hands together...and prayed
"Ge-Mor, Dio-Moa, Shatteron, Khazar, Tzantch, Slonsha, Narglos, The Tribune of Three, Golden Star-Empress, My White Diamond! I ask all of you to grant the eternal damnation for me...for I'm the bringer of darkness and unworthy of your starlight. Embrace my crew as the purists and let them join alongside your presence."
Mer'La felt the muffled explosions of the ship getting closer and closer...the death is coming for her soul. Buying the last seconds of her existence. Starchild expressed her final wish...to her daughter.
"Zai'Ra, be strong, my little sparkle."
"Mommy loves y-"
*BOOM*
Mer'La didn't have a chance, her last vision was of bright light and massive explosion...before everything became silent...
