I got this idea after watching the Power Rangers: Beast Morphers episode "Silver Sacrifice". :)

Power Rangers: Beast Morphers, Power Rangers Samurai, and Power Rangers Megaforce belong to Saban/Hasbro (since Hasbro bought Saban). I only own Flame Tech.

A/N: Takes place after "Silver Sacrifice" and will have some spoilers.

Family Bonds Run Deep

Betty and Ben went into the main room where the Power Rangers hung out with their Beast Bots and found Steel to be the only one in there at the moment. "Hi, Steel," Betty said.

He turned to them. "Betty. Ben," he said in greeting. "How are you both doing?"

"We're doing better," Ben admitted.

Betty suddenly went up to the Silver Ranger and hugged him tight. A little surprised, he returned her hug. "Thank you, Steel," she said. "If it hadn't been for you, Ben and I wouldn't be here today."

"Yeah, you saved us," her brother said. "You didn't have to, but you did."

"Because I knew how devastated your father would be if he lost you two," Steel said. "I would feel the same if I lost my brother."

Betty had tears running down her face. "That was brave of you," she said. "And I'm glad the Rangers were able to save you."

"In more ways than one it seems," the Beast Bot admitted. "The human part of me is what stopped Evox from trying to take over my body."

"I think it was more than that," Ben said.

"Maybe so," Steel agreed. "Still, are you two sure you're okay?"

Betty nodded. "While we like adventure, that was too much for us," she admitted.

"I don't know what the team would have done if they lost you," Ben admitted. "Especially Nate. He'd have been devastated."

Steel nodded. "I would have been too if I had been lost," he admitted. "I've only been a Ranger for a short time, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Betty hugged him again, sniffling as more tears fell down her face as she thought about how they had almost lost a friend and teammate because of Evox. The Beast Bot Ranger began gently rubbing her back, a little confused as to why she was crying so much.

"She's relieved that you are still here, Steel," said a new voice as someone appeared in the room like they had teleported in. The figure stood from their crouched position to reveal a young woman with long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a black long-sleeved shirt with black jeans and black sneakers. On her left shoulder was a three-tailed scorpion while on her right shoulder was the Samurai Clawzord.

Steel immediately put himself between the stranger and the siblings. "Who are you?" He asked.

The young woman smiled. "I'm Flame Tech," she said. "I'm a friend."

Sensing no ill from her, plus figuring that she couldn't have been sent by Evox if she had two Zords with her, he relaxed. "What Zords are those?" He asked, pointing to the two.

The scorpion one gave a chirp and looked at Flame Tech, who smiled and lifted her arm so that it was parallel to the ground and the Zord scurried down her arm and stood on the back of her hand, chirping again. "Hold out your hand, Steel," the young woman said.

He did and the scorpion jumped into his hand and scurried up to his shoulder, seeming to study him. "Scorpio's curious about you," she said to him.

"Well, I am quite an person," he said, making her chuckle.

Betty and Ben looked at each other, wondering if they should sound the alarm. Flame Tech noticed. "Betty. Ben, calm down. I mean no harm," she said.

"How do you know our names?" Betty asked.

"I'm a guardian," the newcomer said.

"You mean, like you watch over the town?" Ben asked.

Flame Tech smiled. "Actually, I watch over other worlds and dimensions," she said gently. "The Master Elder who guards this dimension sent me after he saw what happened recently."

"You mean...he saw that Evox almost won?" Betty asked.

"Yes," the guardian said. "We were concerned, but then pleased to see that his plan failed again."

Ben looked at her curiously. "Can you...like see the future?" He asked.

"No," she said gently. "We let the future play out as it should, but if something is wrong in the past, then sometimes we can interfere to correct it."

The Samurai Clawzord looked at the siblings curiously, something the girl noticed. "Claw is curious about you," she said, gently picking him up and holding him out to Betty, who very carefully took him in her hands, giggling as he climbed up her arm to her shoulder.

"He's amazing," she said in awe.

"What kind of Zord is he?" Ben asked. "And the scorpion one?"

"Claw is the Samurai Clawzord and he helped the Samurai Rangers sometime back," Flame Tech explained. "Scorpio is my personal Zord given to me years ago by the guardian Gosei, who mentored the Megaforce Rangers."

"Quite impressive," Steel commented.

"Thank you," she said before smiling. "Which reminds me, I have something for you, Steel."

"You do?" He asked curiously.

Smiling again, she held up a flash drive and came closer, taking his arm gently before inserting the flash drive into one of the ports on his arm. Steel felt lines of data enter his system and he did a system check, seeing that his firewalls were becoming stronger and a few new ones were being installed.

Nate came in at that moment and he stopped in shock at seeing the newcomer and the two Zords. "It's you!" He said in surprise, making them look at him. "I've heard stories about a guardian with two Zords."

"And you thought they were just stories, right?" She said with an amused smile.

Nate had the grace to look a bit sheepish, to which Flame Tech chuckled. "Don't worry, Gold Ranger, you're not the first to think that," she said gently.

He looked relieved and then saw her removed a flash drive from Steel. "There you go," she said to the Beast Bot. "Now it'll be much more difficult for Evox to infiltrate your circuits."

"Thank you," he said. "I do feel stronger now."

Chuckling, Flame Tech pulled out a wooden flute and began playing it. Scorpio and Claw perked up and looked at her. Even Steel seemed swayed by the music as the guardian continued playing the tune. She held out her right arm while she continued playing the instrument with her left hand and the two Zords jumped to her arm and scurried up to her shoulders. "What is that tune?" Betty asked curiously.

"It sounds amazing," Ben said.

The guardian smiled as she paused her playing. "It's a tune I play for the Zords to calm them down," she said. "It's nearly time for us to return home."

"Wait!" Nate said, making her look at him. "Will we see you again?"

She smiled. "You might," she said as she faded from view with her two Zords.

"I hope we do. I like her," Steel said.

The three humans just nodded.

In the Master Elders' Realm...

"Well done, Flame Tech," the Master Elder said to her. "I know that if anything happens to me, the Power Rangers dimensions will be in good hands."

She bowed in respect. "Thank you, Master," she said to him before doing a check and seeing all was well with the other Master Elders. Smiling, she then pulled out her flute and began playing softly, the sounds floating peacefully throughout the realm.
