Maggie and OA were starting their drinks after a hard case were solved. Their goal, right now, were to get drunk and forget this day. The bar was quite loud with colorful words because, there was a soccer match happening and airing on the channel the bar was displaying.
The sound of the people yelling were pounding in Maggie's ear and so in OA's. After two bottles of Whiskey, they finally realized that they were slightly(?) drunk. Maggie, who was still quite sober, signaled the bartender to come and get the bills while OA was determined to kiss the hard wood bar table (which he had succeeded and tried again several times) . Now, she had discovered another fact of her partner. Maggie looked for the bartender who she signaled, she sighed. The bartender was flirting with some hotties at another side of the bar so she threw some bills and looked back to her partner
"Never let you get drunk, noted OA." Maggie mumbled and carried her partner off the metal stool. With the dim lights of McSoreley's, Maggie squeezed her way to the exit with a huge male clinging on her shoulder. Sure she had carried people out of crowded bars when she was a beat cop in Indiana but no one was as tall as he was. "Maybe I should've played BasketBall more when I was in High school" She mumbled again, the amount of alcohol that she had drunk was starting to kick in. She used to talk all her feelings off when she was in her hometown but when she arrived in New York City, she knew things are more serious than her hometown. When she was drunk, her old habits would made their way back.
When they finally made it out of bar Maggie took a look on the streets. It was Friday night so things are crazy in the of New York. She stared at the business on the roads and enjoyed the sight until she felt a hot breath on her shoulder. Right, OA was still dropping his weights on her. "Hmph" Maggie heard a low noise from OA and looked at the man who had his chin locked to her neck and his body on the opposite side. He started to move, so now she wouldn't need to carry him anymore. Thank lord. She turned back to the dark sky and got lost in the constellation.
OA heard loud noises of sirens and honking, he was definitely somewhere in New York. He tried to move his neck after sensed a human skin just below his chin but failed miserably. He inhaled a familiar scent and opened his eyes. He looked upon the sky briefly and locked his gaze on her eyes. "You look kinda beautiful tonight." He slurred truthfully. He couldn't filter what he say when he was drunk.
When Maggie heard the phrase and blushed for a bit, looking at her partner, disbelieved. "Is that your way of saying Thank you that I didn't let you kiss the table more?" She joked awkwardly. "No, you really do" He said before nuzzle his beard to her neck and drifted off to sleep. She blushed again and started the journey to her apartment, planning to throw him to the couch and let him sleep there.
When they arrived at her apartment, Maggie threw him to the couch in the living room and walked to kitchen. She reached for the Advil bottle and checked for the expiration date. Maggie grabbed a bottle of water and placed the Advil pills along with the bottle on her wooden coffee table. When she took another look on her partner's condition, she will definitely have a hangover Omar Adom Zidan as her partner tomorrow. Maggie went to her bedroom and found a blanket and a pillow for him to sleep with, walking out of the dark room. She saw a shadow on her wall and went on autopilot, the only weapon she had on her was the soft stuff in her embrace. She threw it to the moving creature without hesitation.
"OW fuck!" A low male voice cursed. Which caused Maggie to look at her intruder, OA, of course it was him. "Shit, sorry!" Maggie walked to OA who was stumbling backwards and laid fully on his back on the hard wooden floor.
Un-freaking-believable. OA, who had survived gunshots, explosions in wars and cold blooded criminals, was falling from the force of a single fluffy pillow. OA groaned as his head laid relaxingly on the floor, making himself comfortable on his partner's house's floor. "I know you are a control freak but I didn't know you have this much strength" OA said jokingly. "You shouldn't even be walking in the dark" Maggie shot back seriously.
"Help me up? Partner?" OA looked at her with hope, he was too dizzy to stand up by his own. Maggie looked at him and decided to punish him a little bit. "Nope" and grabbed his wrist, just to drag him back to the living room. She laughed at his protest, she wouldn't be surprised if her next door will call the cops. They were the FBI after-all, they could get away with noise complaint. When they reach the living room, Maggie left him on the carpet and put the pillow under his heavy head. OA used the opportunity to grab her and pull her down to the floor with him.
"What the hell, OA!" She laughed again, the small space between her sofa and coffee table started to expand. OA smirked and pulled her close to him, he wasn't really shy about being so close to his partner. They were partnered for half a decade, knew almost everything about each other, leaned on each other and went through some shit together. "Payback" He said with a smile on his face.
"Maggie?" OA called after ten minutes of silence. "mmm…, what?" Maggie responded sleepily. "Okay, never mind. Night Mags" He patted on her head and rested his hand on her head. "I'm not some small adorable dog, you know" Maggie quirked her eyebrows and faced him.
"Yeah, I know. You're a medium sized Golden Retriever" OA chuckled lightly. Which Maggie punched him in the arm gently, he was relieved a little because he knew damn well that her left hook was pretty dangerous. Good thing she used her right. "At least they're cute" Maggie said dismissively and tried to sleep again.
"Yeah, yeah." OA followed her lead of sleeping but they both failed to sleep. "We'll be so useful for Jubal tomorrow" OA cracked the silence again, he thought about the sun-shining morning. It would definitely be hell and so productive, if they got morning call from the office, they would probably be all annoyed and be a garbage to everyone around. And the next they would have to apologize to everyone and get back to normal. Just don't let us get a morning call, please, he could only wish for that since it was 5 o'clock already.
And his wish didn't came true when their cellphones started ringing. "fuck" OA swore. "What the heck" Maggie sat up and reached for her phone, now it was very clear who was the responsible one. They helped each other up and put themselves in an appropriate look. Not completely wasted look, a proper FBI agent look. They still had their badges in their pockets and a gun attached to the back of their belts.
Let's all hope that these agents would be useful to the bureau today.
reviews will be very appreciated! And I apologize for any mistakes in here. Of course, I don't own FBI or any of the characters. That was a Disclaimer. Okay, I think that was all I'm gonna put in here so..yeah. Btw, Maggie Bell is sooooo cute.
