Hey everyone! So I know that this is a day late, but I've been trying to write a few other things that will be coming soon, so I've been having to divide my attention. Not to worry though, Green Legacy is still being updated and those other things will be amazing! This was originally gonna be an oneshot but I wanted to add more to the end and make it more interesting, sooo it has now become a two-shot. So much for making it short... Anyways, enjoy the story!

Cole was having a great dream, a welcome change from the nightmares he (and he suspected the rest of the team as well) experienced on a nightly basis. This dream had been amazing though. In it, he'd been walking in a forest with a girl with red hair. She hadn't talked much, it had been mostly him talking, but when she laughed, it warmed him up inside and seemed to spin him around until he felt like he was flying. For a second, he'd been perfectly happy. At least, until he was awoken by a rubber chicken hitting his face with a sad squeak before falling to the floor.

He bolted upright, hitting his head on the bunk above him, where Kai was still asleep. There was a hastily shushed snicker from the other side of the room, Jay and Zane's bunks.

Craning his head, he noticed Zane was sleeping in Lloyd's bunk, having gotten home late from a mission. And judging from the fact he wasn't up training or meditating by now, it must have ended only a few hours ago.

Another rubber chicken hit him on the head, joining its twin on the floor. Looking to Jay's bunk, he saw a hand poke out and throw a chicken at Kai, who judging from the sounds above him, grumbled and turned over.

More snickers and whispering floated down from the bundle of blankets on Jay's bunk.

Cole stealthily got up, reaching underneath his mattress and pulling out some things he'd hidden there a few days ago specifically for today. He tip-toed to the bunks, holding a blanket in hand. He ducked as another chicken went flying and the hand that had thrown it retreated into the crude tent of blankets.

This time it smacked Kai between the eyebrows and he also bolted upright, glaring at the chicken and then at Cole.

Cole shook his head vigorously, pointing first at the stupid chicken Kai was holding and then at the bundle of blankets that seemed to be able to breathe. He suspected Lloyd and Jay. He then gestured to the blankets, then at the three bottles of pink, purple, and gold glitter.

Kai's eyes widened, then for the benefit of those in the tent he growled, "Stupid chicken."

The tent almost collapsed from the snickers and muffled laughter going on inside of it.

Another rubber chicken went flying and hit just beside where Kai was sitting up in bed, stretching.

"You missed." He called to them, and the snickers started all over again.

Kai pushed off of his bunk and landed lightly on the floor, joining Cole next to the bunk. Cole handed him a blanket and a bottle of glitter. He indicated that they'd climb up to the bed, capture the two troublemakers inside of their tent and wrap them in the blankets for extra measure and douse them in glitter.

Kai grinned wickedly and mirrored Cole's climb up to Jay's bunk. Cole counted down. 3. 2. 1.

At 1, they jumped the two people in the tent, trying to tangle them in the blankets and coat them with glitter.

A fantastic sparring match occurred. No one got hurt, as being a ninja meant you had to know how to spar with each other without hurting someone, but Jay and Lloyd (Cole had been right) had been taken by surprise and were now flailing around trying to escape. During the struggle, the whole lot of them fell to the floor.

Cole had gotten Lloy all tangled up in the blankets and he made a hole in it and began dumping purple and gold glitter all over him.

"Ahhhh, Kaiiii, what is this?" Jay asked as Kai dumped pink glitter all over him. Jay tried to escape, but he was well and thoroughly stuck in the blankets.

Kai didn't respond, he just kept up the glitter, getting it all over the floor as much as he was getting it on Jay.

"Take this Lloyd!" Cole exclaimed.

Lloyd grunted, trying to untangle the blankets but only succeeding in tangling them more. "Geroff me!" He continued trying to untangle the blankets, but every time he made even a small hole Cole would start dumping glitter in there.

Lloyd tackled Cole and the bottles of glitter went flying, coating everyone with glitter and getting all over the floor. They scuffled for a minute but Cole ended up pinning Lloyd.

"Fine, fine! I yield!" Lloyd sneezed, "Now please untangle me! What did you cover me with?"

"Ohh you'll see." Cole laughed.

Jay managed to untangle himself as well, having successfully managed to pin Kai to the ground. When Kai threatened to put more glitter on him, Jay untangled himself completely from the blankets, shrugged and pushed Kai, sending him sprawling to the floor and getting glitter all over him as well. Not that it mattered much anyway, Kai collapsed from laughing at Jay, who was completely covered in pink glitter. His hair was a complete disaster of glitter and knots and he sparkled wherever the light touched him.

"What?" He asked Kai, who looked like he was having a seizure.

"You-look...!"

"Look like what?" Jay protested.

"Like-"

"LIKE WHAT KAI SMITH?"

"A disco ball that got smashed and put back together horribly!" He died again, barely able to control himself.

"Heyyyy!" Jay bolted off towards the bathroom, trailing glitter.

Kai got up weakly, brushing tears of laughter from his eyes, before falling over again when Lloyd emerged from the blankets. "If you think you look bad," He called to Jay, "Come in here and take a look at Lloyd!"

Lloyd was much worse than Jay. The amount of glitter Cole had dumped all over him was settling all over his clothes, skin, and hair. Even his eyelashes and eyebrows had gotten glitter on them, throwing off gold and purple sparkles all over the room whenever he blinked.

"So..how bad do I look?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow.

Kai managed to sit up, holding his side as tears ran down his face, "You-you look even more like a disco ball than Jay does!" He managed to say before dissolving into laughter again.

"Ok, so seriously you guys, the glitter was uncalled for."

Cole patted his shoulder, brushing the glitter off of his hands, "Don't whine Lloyd, your 10-year old is showing."

"You guys messed up my look!"

"It'll wash out!" Kai laughed, trying to control himself so he could go make breakfast for those who requested it the night before, "Besides, you don't really have a look, that's me."

"Seriously? I need to go take a shower, there's no way I'm going on patrol like THIS."

"Ah, it may not wash out."

"Uh, what?"

"Yeahh, uhh, there was some warning that it may not come off of all surfaces. Not sure which ones, but skin and hair may be on that list, you know how weird those people are."

He managed to keep a straight face for the two seconds he had before Lloyd tackled him again.

"Woahh, careful kid, your gonna get glitter all over me!" Cole rolled on the floor, Lloyd on top of him.

"Yeah that's the point, I'm gonna roll you in it!" Lloyd grinned, trying to capture Cole's arms.

"Uh-huh, good luck with that."

Kai finally managed to gain sufficient control of himself to get up, brushing glitter off of himself and go to the kitchen, laughing in short bursts.

Lloyd had just yielded again when Jay dashed into the room, his hands and arms dripping from vainly trying to get the glitter off of him.

"Ok, so who switched the hand soap for motor oil?"

Lloyd and Cole glanced at each other, chuckling.

Zane got up, yawning, "Ah yes, that would be me."

Jay groaned, "Zaaaane you're not supposed to say! It's no fun to just give someone the satisfaction right away. Tip for next time, don't say it was you right away."

Zane nodded, "Alright, duly noted."

"What time did you get home Zane?" Asked Lloyd, still trying to brush glitter out of his hair.

"Why are you covered in glitter?" Zane inquired.

Lloyd sighed, "It's a long story."

Cole chuckled, "No, not really. They were chucking chickens at us, so Kai and I retaliated. Simple."

Zane turned to Lloyd, "I got back around 5:30 and went straight to bed."

Lloyd frowned, "Long mission. Sorry about that."

Zane shrugged, "No big deal. I can always go to bed early tonight."

Nya walked into the room. surprised at the mess of glitter and the boys covered in it. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, given all the racket."

Cole grinned, "Oh yeah." He scooped up a handful of glitter and brushed off his hands above Lloyd, "April Fools!"

Lloyd sneezed, trying to shake the glitter off.

"Oh, Jay, I bought your favorite cereal yesterday. And Kai sent me to tell you all that breakfast is almost ready." Nya said to Jay, who bolted for the door.

"Yes! Cinnamon Ninjaball! The best!" He ran out of the room, hands still dripping motor oil.

Nya glanced at the others, "Was that motor oil?"

Lloyd grinned, "Why yes, yes it was."

When the group (sans Zane, who was wanting to sleep a little bit longer) got to the kitchen, they found Jay searching for milk in Betsy (refrigerator #1) and Kai casually covering what he was cooking.

"So what's for breakfast?" Asked Lloyd, plopping down cross-legged at the table and stretching.

Kai grinned, "Moustaches and worms."

Lloyd's eyes got wide and Kai kept a straight face, turning to grab plates from the cupboard.

He passed them plates with what looked like literal mustaches and worms.

"Eat up!" He said cheerfully, sitting down and digging in.

Nya took a hesitant bite of a worm and grinned, "Gummy worms!"

Lloyd ate a mustache and tilted his head to the side, "What even is this?" He asked Kai.

He smiled mischievously, "Nya knows."

Nya tried one and burst out laughing, "Seriously? You just had to do that didn't you?"

Cole tried a taste as well, "I'm with Lloyd. What is it?"

Kai finished his worms before responding, "When we were younger, mom used to make these delicious pancakes with all sorts of ingredients. I have no idea what she put in or how many ingredients it had or even where she learned it or if she just made it up, but when Nya and I went back to the Four Swords after I got us out of the foster system, I tried to make them. I thought they turned out good!"

"Are you kidding? They were horrible!" Nya protested.

"Well Nya claimed that they looked like mustaches and that's where I got the idea from." Kai finished.

Cole examined them, trying to discern what Kai could have possibly put in there. Lloyd just grinned and put two into his mouth, washing it down with a deep draught of water.

Kai began to say something else but was interrupted by Jay spitting out his cereal into the sink.

"Ok, who replaced my cereal with sawdust?" He asked, turning around and glaring at each of them.

They all simultaneously pointed at each other, laughing at Jay's predicament.

He rolled his eyes, barely able to contain a grin. "I will find you, whoever you are."

"April Fools!" They all yelled at him.

Kai laughed and turned to Lloyd, "Oh-by the way Lloyd, that water was from a toilet fountain.

There was a pause for a second. Cole spit out his water, "Wai-what?"

"Ewwwwwww, that's so gross!" Lloyd protested.

Kai shrugged, "I wouldn't worry too much, it's probably clean."

"KAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

Kai bolted from the room, eating his last worm on the go, pursued by Lloyd, who was brandishing a mustache and declaring revenge.

"It'd better be much better than the chickens Lloyd!" Kai yelled over his shoulder, ducking as another rubber chicken came flying over his shoulder and hit the wall, "You keep missing!"

He ran into the tea room, and jumped the table, yelling behind him, "Good morning Sensei!"

Wu sighed and leaned out of the way to avoid Lloyd, who also yelled good morning over his shoulder. He shook his head and smiled fondly, ah teenagers.

The morning passed by quickly. Sensei Wu, knowing the most (if not all) of the day would be filled with people getting pranked and chased no matter what he assigned or didn't assign, had mostly left them to their own devices as long as they kept the patrol circuit and kept the noise level to as low as they could manage. Everyone was perfectly happy with this arrangement and after calling nose goes to see who got to go on patrol (Cole and Zane lost), they got to work on the pranks they (especially Jay and Lloyd) had been planning all year.

After Nya replaced Kai's candy with packing peanuts and Lloyd got Jay with the classic water bucket trick, Jay, Kai, and Nya teamed up to get Lloyd, finally settling on taking his normal patrol gi and dying his backup gi magenta.

Kai kept him busy while Jay and Nya crept into the boy's dorm and got both of them out of his closet.

"It's a good thing I had this dye laying around from last year," Nya commented, folding up Lloyd's gi and placing it under Cole's mattress, incriminating him if Lloyd thought to look there.

Jay cracked up, "Oh yeahhhh, I remember. You dyed Kai's hair magenta and glued bows to it."

Nya laughed, "He was so mad! Though not as mad as Lloyd will be when he sees this!"

The sound of squeaking made them both snap their heads up in alarm, then begin giggling again.

"They've found the hamster." Giggled Nya, as shouts of "Get it!" and "Capture that hamster!" echoed through the Monastery.

They finished their job quickly and replaced the gi into the closet, trying to suppress their laughs by alerting Kai that they were done. That meant splashing him with water. Lots of it.

"Heyyy!" He spluttered, shaking water out of his hair and glaring at them.

"Found the hamster?" Nya grinned.

Lloyd nodded, holding it in his cupped hands, "So, what was with the hamster? Cause that came out of nowhere."

"It was funny because you weren't expecting it. Ha, I can't wait for Cole to get back, I have a prank that involves a fake-" She screamed, pointing at a spider that was sitting by the wall.

The boys burst out laughing, "Relax Nya, it's just plastic!" Laughed Jay, picking it up and dropping it. It fell to the floor and landed upside down. Its legs waggled. Jay frowned, "Ewwww, guess that was real."

Nya's eyes flashed, and she punched Jay on the arm.

"Owwwwwww. You punch hard."

She opened her mouth to say something, but Lloyd's watch beeped, signaling an urgent message from Zane.

Lloyd handed the hamster to Kai and tapped the screen twice, scanning the message. "He says, we have located dangerous gang bosses found inside of a warehouse. We don't know what they're doing but they are armed and dangerous and planning something. Bring the others and fly to the encoded address, coming in stealthily on the C side ASAP." He sighed, "Guess we have to go to work. Everyone, get changed and meet in the courtyard in two."

They scattered, Nya to her room to grab her trident and change into her battle gi and the boys to their dorm to grab their weapons and change."

Two minutes later, they were all flying in a sort-of formation after Lloyd, who had the directions to where they were going. Jay and Nya conversed in low tones and Kai kept doing loop-the-loops, trying to burn off excess energy so he'd be focused.

It was almost go time.

A/N:Alright, I should be able to publish the next update within the next few days so, stay tuned!
