Prologue: Luminous City
It was all a Normal day until weird cards started falling from the sky. I guess this was some sort of calling from a Divine Entity to learn and master this card game and that is how we started playing Duel Monsters. An all time favorite card game all over Luminous City and possibly the entire world!
"Wake up!" A huge hand slapped the girl's face so hard she flew to the wall.
"Ow, what the hell was that for!" The Blonde Haired girl got up fully awakened after that slap.
"Fey..." The Huge Man looked at her extremely disappointed and cross, how she slept so late last night. "I am only going to cut you some slack because it is your last day living here." He reminds Fey that today was the Entrance Exam Duel she needed to attend in order to enroll as a student in her Dream school: Strife Academy of Triumph, or SAT for short, an Island not too far from Luminous City, but cannot be seen from the city as well.
Fey gasped and checked her clock. "Shoot, I only got 20 minutes!" She quickly grabbed her stuff, changed into her regular clothes, grabbed her deck and ran downstairs. "Bye Uncle, I hope you don't miss me while I am gone for Four Years!" She yells running out of her Uncle's small apartment.
"Heh, don't you worry Fey, your Father would be extremely proud once you make it into your School of choice! Kick some ass and do your best!" Fey's Uncle shouts waking up other tenants in their apartments.
The streets of Luminous City were wide, and on this beautiful day... The Birds were singing and the Flowers were blooming, the Children in the City Parks were dueling it out with their cards. "I will summon my ultimate monster Red-Eyes B. Dragon and it will finish you off!" A Kid shouts winning that duel. Fey smiles as she heard that and runs to her Entrance Exam location: The Plexis Tower.
"COMING THROUGH!" She would yell along the way as she only had 5 more minutes before it would start. Fey ran so fast, she bumps a man and she drops all of her cards. "Oh I am so sorry!" She pleads for forgiveness as she picks up her dropped cards.
"Duel Monsters ehh...? Interesting indeed." The Man spoke to Fey, who seemed to have not minded the fact that he was bumped into by Fey.
"Yeah...haha..." She chuckles and immediately she recognized who that man was. "Wait aren't you th-" The Man put his fingers over his lips and made a Hand Gesture to make her quiet. He grabs a card out of his pocket and hands it over to Fey so she could have it. "You seem like a nice young woman, you earned this card." Fey looked at it and was amazed. "Clockwork Dragon..." she whispered as the man had suddenly disappeared from the area. She checks her watch and she only had a minute left before her exam. "AHHH!" she yells running to The Plexis Tower.
She rushed over and needed to catch her breathe. As soon as she did that, lots of duelists were also wanting to enter into The SAT. "Ahem, quiet down folks!" The test proctor looked like one of those FBI agents with badass black sunglasses and nice business suits. "At this moment everyone in here will be out onto The Plexis Dueling Area to see if you are qualified enough to enroll into the SAT. Now we will call each person up by number when I call your name you better be up here quick otherwise I will exempt you from testing!" The Proctor called the names out one by one.
Fey was starting to become a tad nervous whether or not she would even make it into the SAT. "Fey Akijato!" The Proctor yells out. "H-Here!" She ran up to grab her Number from the Proctor. "Tch, you don't need to say here this ain't Kindergarten." The proctor then continued to hand out the rest.
"I am number 69...So will I be one of the later ones to go?" Fey wonders.
As the test proctor finished handing out the numbers he then randomized the 151 students' numbers for order. "We will begin with Number 75, Number 52, Number 132, Number 104, and Number 69." Fey jumped as she heard her number being called out.
"You five, please come with me to the dueling area, and the rest of you may watch your possible fellow mates who may or may not be joining the SAT." The Test proctor then dismisses everyone then Fey and four others. Fey noticed a boy around her age also being the first five to be tested in duels.
"Hi there!" Fey trying to start some small talk to the boy.
"H-Hi..." The boy timidly replies, trying to signal Fey that he was a huge introvert and did not want any sort of talking going on.
"What is your name, and are you wishing to enroll in the SAT?" she keeps asking even though he had showed signs that he didn't want to be talked to.
"U-Uh...my name is... L-Lone... and yeah... that is why we are all here aren't we?" He didn't seem to have understood what she had exactly meant.
"Alright quiet down Now, we will begin with Number 75!" Lone stepped forward and entered the arena.
"Good Luck Lone!" Fey cheering him on. Lone looked back and gave a snarky grin that only Fey noticed as he walked up.
"Alright, dueling in 3... 2... 1... Duel Monsters!" Everyone who weren't being tested shouted loudly, hoping to see some great action.
Next Time on Yu-Gi-Oh! Ynominas...
"For Number 69... I will be dueling her instead..." The head commissioner of the SAT grabbed his deck.
"B-But sir, these are just Entrance Exams, we can't have you have duel someone, they wouldn't even be able to get in!"
"HMPH!" He threw a card to let the proctors know he was angry. "That is precisely my point as to why I will be dueling, to make things more interesting... after all, you all suck at your jobs."
Fey had made a new friend of hers, Lone, but he seems to be too shy... in fact he might have to work on his social development, but that Grin he gave made her seem cautious of him for some reason. Will Fey be able to Take on whatever challenges come next? Find out next time on Yu-Gi-Oh! Ynominas.
