Ok, I know that I should be updating my other story but I couldn't get this idea out of my head! I mean what if Marie was around in the 2012 TMNT? And what happened to Stockman after season 4? I always thought he deserved a better ending than he got so I made one-

It had been just over a year since the brother's final showdown with the Shredder, since they had defeated him and burned his lair to the ground. They had decided it would be best to keep rough tabs on his ex-lackeys and thus far had managed to do so, it was always useful to know when someone may decide to become a problem again and rebel against them but one person they had neglected to keep tabs on was Baxter Stockman. It wasn't that he didn't pose a threat. Far from it, he was the only human who understood the mutagen well enough to make varying formulas and even make retromutagen. It had been just over a week since they had realised their error and Donnie had finally managed to track him back to an apartment in a quieter part of the city. The four brothers geared up, ready for whatever Stockman could throw at them, and headed off. They came to a stop on the rooftop of an adjacent building and spotted him almost instantly standing on the balcony. He was tinkering with some little device that none of them could make out, determined to find out what he was up to the brothers got ready to make contact when a young woman appeared from a room within the apartment. The four quickly ducked from view once more, watching closely. The woman made her way onto the balcony quietly and stood behind Stockman, wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning up to set her chin on his right shoulder, he jumped a little at the motion but made no move to stop her,

"What are you doing out here this late?" the young woman asked, her voice was soft but held a humorous tone.

"Just putting the finishing touches on this, here, it's yours" Baxter replied, his voice sounded higher than the turtles remembered, though he had always put on a lower voice whenever he fought them to sound more threatening. The younger woman raised an eyebrow as he handed the little device to her, she untangled herself from him as she took it, looking it over as tears began to form in the corner of her eyes though she was smiling again,

"Oh Baxter, its perfect! Thank you" she said, stepping towards him and wrapping him in a tight hug that was quickly returned. She rested her head on his chest and gave a kiss to the top of her head,

"I'm glad you like it Marie, I think maybe you should open it though" he murmured into her hair. She gave a small sniff, wiping the few tears from her eyes before opening it, Baxter's arms still loosely holding her.

As she lifted the lid on the little metal box, a perfectly tuned rendition of 'Howl's Moving Castle Theme' plinked away. The younger woman watched the music box in awe, a sad smile making its way onto her pale, tear streaked face. Baxter in turn, watched her almost nervously. As the song came to an end she let her tears fall once more, looking up at Baxter,

"Thank you so much" she whispered, leaning in and giving him a gentle but loving kiss before she buried her face into his neck. Baxter stood there smiling for a moment before he turned his attention to the night sky, his smile instantly falling as he noticed the turtles.

Knowing they had been spotted they looked to Leo for guidance, but the leader simply gave Stockman a nod before turning to leave. The older man gave a nod back, fighting down a smile as Mikey made a heart sign before leaving with the others. Baxter's attention immediately went back to the young woman and the two went back into the apartment.

The brothers returned to the lair in silence, once back, however, Mikey spoke up,

"Well I guess we won't have to worry about stocktron anymore", he said, folding his arms behind his head and leaning back on the couch. The others nodded in agreeance,

"Yeah, he seemed genuinely happy. Though we should probably still keep an eye on him, just in case", replied Leo, aiming the last part at Donnie who nodded, pressing some buttons on his T-phone.

"Well the camera is all set and ready to go, we'll be able to keep up with what he's doing without being too obvious about it" he said, enabling the small spy camera he had set up on the rooftop of the building they had been on.

"Good, we can do a check in every month as well, in case he gets wind of the camera" Leo said with finality, drawing the topic to a close before the brothers soon disbanded to their own rooms for the night.

~ 3 months later ~

It was Mikey's turn to do a stop-by at Stockman's apartment, well, it turned out that the apartment actually belonged to the younger woman Marie but the pair had been living there for almost a year now so he supposed it was both their apartment. Donnie had decided it was best to do some digging on who this Marie person was in case she should pose a threat but instead he discovered that she was probably one of the kindest people they had ever met. She was only 24 years old but already she had a significant amount of voluntary and charity work behind her, she was a Signatory for 2 children's charities, had glowing reports from her school days and she had even become a first aider at 18. Adding to that the fact that she seemed to have managed to get Stockman back into a normal life and truly none of the brothers could fault her, even if Raph was a little suspicious. Arriving at his post by the camera, Mikey could see the pair in their apartment eating dinner together with the balcony door open, they were laughing about something. He sat down, pulling out a Chinese container and digging in before pausing as he noticed a little white envelope sitting on top of the camera box. Cautiously he stood and made his way over, his eyes widening as he saw all four of their names neatly scribbled on it, it seemed they had been found. Mikey quickly turned his attention back to the apartment to see Baxter and Marie looking over at him,

"Hey, don't that until you get home!" Marie called over to him,

"And tell your brother that his camera lights up red at night, get him to fix it" added Baxter, the pair giving a parting wave before turning back to their dinner leaving Mikey to rush back to the lair in a panic.

Ok so here's part one, part two will be up soon, I just have to type it up from my notebook. I always really liked Stockman and when they turned him human again at the end of S4 I was really excited because I thought we'd get to see more of him. Also I haven't seen season 5 yet as I wasn't aware it existed until a couple weeks ago and now were in lockdown and I'm too poor to buy it on amazon prime so just go with me on this. This Marie is the same one from 'I Seek The Truth' just based in the 2012 series instead, I'm still working on that story but if you want to read more of her character then please do! I know she comes across as Mary Sue in this but I promise she has faults, plenty of them, I just haven't shown them in this little snippet because they weren't relevant.
