Chapter 1 (Chat With The Devil )
Trixie Tang groaned in frustration the past week had been more frustrating than anything she would've imagined. Trying to go back to what was normal after all that she had learned and done, wasn't as easy as she was hoping it would be. Her mind kept wandering and her heart just never seemed to let it go, "Trixie are you okay?" Veronica asked her best friend with worry, they were sitting in Crocker's classroom doing an assignment. Which Trixie had tried to do, but couldn't force herself. "You've been a little off all weekend." Trixie raised her head to meet her best-friends blue-eyes with a puzzled look, "Well err I mean you've been very… agitated like something you want, but can't have."
"Why must you remind me?" She snapped at her best friend and put her head down, she did want something.. More like somebody. All she could think of as of late was Timmy Turner and it was driving her nuts. What did she do? She had and knew his secret, but couldn't take the risk if Jorgeon found out. Having the boy who she was not crushing on hurt, was an interesting feeling she didn't know how to describe. Veronica looked at her with even more curiosity than before, "Let's say you have a secret for someone that you shouldn't what do you do? Now I'm not saying I know someone's secret that would really change things, but as a random example.. They know a secret that affects the person's entire life."
"Oh that's easy," Veronica waved the idea away, "It depends on the other person. If you like or love them you keep it, hate them, reveal it, and indifferently use it for blackmail. Duh. Like Tad's secret wort on his butt." Veronica covered her mouth in embarrassment, she looked towards the blonde boy who wasn't even paying attention.
"I mean-"
"I don't want to know or care." Finally, Trixie though as the school bell went off officially ending the school day. She stayed behind allowing the classroom to exit, and from the very distance her eyes focused on the boy she had kissed. A small smile and slowly she approached her teacher, she had to know. Why did she still have her memories? Crocker was wearing his usual getup and was fiddling with papers trying to shove it into his ugly backpack. And all Trixie could do was try to hide her hatred for this man. He creeped her out, and scared her, but there was one thing he had she didn't know.
"Mr. Crocker…" Trixie said quietly and the man didn't even turn towards her and hissed at her, "I want to talk to you. About something kinda… important and will make my sound crazy." This seemed to get the attention of her crazy teacher, and he shoved the papers and files into his rucksack.
"What?"
"Can you tell me about.. Fairy godparents." She almost mouthed the last part, and the man raised his eyebrows with deep curiosity. He looked around the classroom and pulled out a giant folder from underneath his desk. It was titled, All Things Fairies by Denzel Crocker. "I recently found out they are real, and I know somebody who has them."
"Who Ms. Tang Who?" He shook the girl with violence his eyes almost looked like a beating yellow. She was more scared of him, and was quickly starting to regret this. "I need to know is it Timmy Turner? I've been suspecting he has them, though I haven't found any proof." He said with anger in his voice, and all Trixie could do was shake her head and he smiled. "So he does, does he? How did this information come to you?"
Trixie took a deep breath trying to calm herself, "A week ago after an event occured that I shouldn't have memory of, but I do." Crocker looked puzzled, "A week ago the world's stars disappeared, and a giant swirling black mass called the Darkness attacked." She was careful to avoid giving away too many details including the fact that Crocker had been there during the events and he took in the words. She didn't mention Timmy kissing her, or the party, fairy world or even Jorgeon. Or what the boy had told her during the party shortly before her memory was supposed to be erased.
"So let me get this straight. A week ago a giant swirling mass called the "darkness" attacked the world. And sent these robots called "elminaters" after Timmy, and he saved the universe. And now you want to know why you have memories after it was supposed to be erased? Do you expect me to believe that?" He screamed at her, and she leaned back trying to avoid getting his spit in her face.
"You were there. "
"I was?" He paused for a moment, "And why are you telling me this Ms Tang? Don't you have some boy to chase after you? Or some photo-shoot to attend?"
"I'm ten!" Trixie shook her head, "And I need your help to capture them, so I can have a conversation with them. I know them, and I need to know why I have the memories. And if talking to Timmy about it… would affect anything-"
"Why would you care about Turner? He's an F student who's not rich, nor is he athletic, and he has asked you out countless times before. You don't have a crush on him?"
"What? No!" A blush emerged onto Trixie's face, "I just want to talk to him to figure out what happened. He never told me his side of the story, I just want closer. That's it and I want to know why he has them. And why hasn't he made certain wishes? You would think with all powerful magical fairies he could do something to change the world. Or rule it. Look, I just want closure on the event and to ask some questions." Trixie said, Crocker though a moment, and hopefully a little more. That though had appeared and Trixie shoved it to the side, she was never going to date him.
"I guess that's reasonable. But why don't you go and talk to Turner yourself?"
"Hello! I'm the most popular girl in school. I can't be seen around that loser. What do you think my friends would say? That would be a popularity disaster, we have a chart to follow and appearances to keep."
"Chart?" Trixie turned back towards her desk and pulled out the chart, a copy of every single kid in the school and where they were on the popularity hierarchy. "Huh a chart explaining how popular every kid in school is. Where would I be on this chart?" He asked, and Trixie pointed to Timmy Turner's position on the bottom of the pyramid. "Of course I am."
"Actually." Trixie said and flipped the paper over, and went all the way down the tile floor, "You're so unpopular you're not even on the chart."
"Eh that's not surprising." Crocker could only shrug his shoulders.
"On top of that I don't want Timmy to lose his fairies. He did save my life, the life of everyone in the universes, the mall, but most importantly my life. It's the least he deserves."
"Of course a self-obsessed ten year old girl who's rich. What else is new?"
"I'll pay you a million dollars in cash, if you go ahead and help me." Crocker raised his eyes at the last part.
"You have yourself a dear Ms. Tang." He shook her hand, "Now enjoy the rest of your day and tomorrow with your beauty, and my brian. And Turner's massive crush on you, and short attention span we will capture those… Fairy GodParens!" He spazzed out on the last part, and Trixie moved slightly to the right as he hit the ceiling and then the ground, and stood up. "And I'll show you the power of magic."
"You will let them go right? I don't want them hurt."
"Of course, of course." He said and led the girl out of the room lying through his teeth, "After school tomorrow you and Turner will be coming to my house for your … I mean our project. That will surely capture Turner's fairies." He shut the door behind him with a giant smile on his face, he would have a million dollars plus an infinite amount of fairy magic at his disposal. And all so she could 'talk' to them, Crocker loved the blindness and inexperience of a ten year old, though she had given him a piece of info. Somehow by her knowing they exist means they can be taken away, and that was something Crocker wasn't going to lose that critical piece of information ever.
Author Note:
I wasn't expecting this chapter to come out so fast, but it did and I like this new version of the story. Also I'm still debating on publishing an M-rated SWs story as I want to branch out my writing more than Fairly Oddparents which I do like (or I wouldn't be writing a fanfiction for it), but that seems to be a huge jump as I already have so many other stories that I should be working on. Anyway make sure to check out this story on Wattpad, or AO3
