I hope you enjoy this one. I just thought of it and well…

Amanda and Billy stood facing each other, smiles on their faces, eyes on each other and hearts beating fast. In this moment, nothing and no one else mattered. It was like everything else disappeared, from the music, the sound of their family and friends who had come to witness their union while sitting on chairs under the bright sunshine in Chancellor park, the peach and white fresh flowers that decorated the venue, the minister waiting to unite them officially, Johnny and Katie, their little flower girl and ring bearer, his brother Jack standing beside him as the best man and Phyllis standing beside her as the …everything disappeared.

It was just the 2 of them. All they could see was each other, Billy so handsome in a black tux with a peach handkerchief on his chest, Amanda looked radiant in a gorgeous, sleeveless mermaid style dress that showed off her beautiful body, her hair let down in a black silk wavy curtain, a bouquet of peach and white flowers in her hands.

As they stared at each other, moments flashed before them, pivotal moments to their journey that led them to be here, standing before a minister, ready to take their vows.

The day they first met

Billy walked into (for the love of me I keep forgetting the name of the club)just needing some peace and quiet away from everyone he knew, away from all the chaos that was his life at the moment. He just needed a moment of escape, just to have a drink and regroup.
He placed his order and it was when he was taking a sip that he saw her, sitting right across from him and he couldn't look away.
The first thing that crossed his mind was that she looked just like Hilary (anyone who knows Hilary wouldn't be able to avoid that) but also that she was beautiful in a way that drew you in, in her own way. Her hair was lighter, brown with bangs. It made her unique, different and there was just something about her that was intriguing. He found himself walking toward her, watching as her eyes followed him till he stood right in front of her.

He smiled, "Hi. I'm Billy Abbott."

"Amanda Sinclair."

First time they kissed

Amanda looked at him, her heart beating as he shifted, coming closer to her while staring in his brown eyes. She knew what was going to happen. She had known for quite some time now where their chats were going to lead them. This moment right here was the accumulation of the many looks exchanged between them, too much eye contact that lasted longer than it should, too many intense moments that made her heart flutter and her breath catch. There was something about him that, from the moment they met, he just drew her like a moth to a light. She found herself opening up to him, telling him things she had never told anyone and the most surprising part was how much it freed her. He never judged, he was a great listener and when she was with him, she was filled with a lightness she hadn't felt in years. It was unexplainable and now here they were, sitting on the couch in her suite and it was finally happening.

His hand felt so warm against her cheek, his gaze burned through her soul making her shudder ever so lightly. His movement was slow as if allowing her the chance to move away, to refuse, to say something. She remained rooted to her spot. She couldn't do anything except stare at him, her heart beating so fast she was sure he could hear it. He moved closer still her eyes closing the moment she felt his lips on hers, soft, sensual, just how she imagined them to feel. The kiss was over way too soon and she opened her eyes wondering why?

She looked into his eyes and she knew. He was giving her a chance. He was putting the next step in her hands. She would determine the next move. She could tell how much he wanted her, how he didn't really want to stop and she was amazed by him and his chivalry. In that moment she couldn't resist him. She wanted to know what it felt to be truly kissed by Billy Abbott, something she had thought about more than she was willing to admit.

Leaning in, she captured his lips with hers in a passionate kiss and she felt his arms hold her shoulder, pulling her closer. The taste of him, the feel of him, it was too much and she couldn't stop. They sat there just kissing until they absolutely had to stop. She held back a moan when his hand caressed her gently from her neck down to her chest exposed by the robe. She was so turned on she knew if they didn't, they would take a step too soon for them. Looking into his eyes, she could see how dazed and affected by their kiss he was and it made her feel good.

His break up with Victoria and their union

Billy chanced a one look back at Victoria, taking her in. she stood there arms wrapped around her shoulders looking as though she was protecting herself from him, or perhaps it was the inevitable onslaught of emotions that was already threatening to burst through his own body. Unable to linger any longer, he turned around and walked with a strength he really didn't possess at the moment.

He wasn't sure how he got to his car, how he even drove all the way to the city. He just found himself in the parking lot of Grand Phoenix. He turned off the ignition and just there.

His thoughts were running through their conversation, running through the moments in their relationship, through everything they had been through, everything he had put her through which led to this very moment, their end. He knew this was truly over, the end. There was no going back. He had seen it in her eyes, heard it in the way she spoke. She wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

He didn't blame her. He had put her through a lot over the years he was surprised she even took it for that long. The gambling, the other women, loss of one job after another, you name it, he had done it. He now knew why he had done it but it didn't make it any better. He had hurt her and worse of all, he had failed. That was what ate at him the most. He had proven every one of his critics right. That like everything else he touched, he had ruined this too.

Feeling the need for a really strong drink, he left his car and decided to go straight to the hotel bar and drink himself to death. It's what he has always done anyway when things didn't go his way. Why should he break the streak now? Getting into the hotel, he could see the way to the bar and yet he found himself going to the elevator. It didn't take long before he was staring at the door, her door.

He looked at it as if he didn't know how he got there, how he was standing there and then taking a breath, he knocked, twice and waited. The door opened and he smiled at her sheepishly. She looked beautiful, still in her day clothes, grey pants and a red silk blouse though on her feet she had fluffy slip-ons and her hair was let down. He stared taking her in. since their kiss, they had met only once when they had decided to be friends. Since then, he had seen her around, talking to Devon or Nate but never got the chance to talk to her. He missed her.

"May I come in?"

"Of course." She said opening the doorway. "Hi."

"Hi."

"Um, are you ok? Did something happen?" she asked concerned and it didn't surprise him that she had picked up on his mood. She always did that.

"Victoria and I, we are over for good." He said going to sit on the couch. She walked over and came and sat beside him and waited for him to continue. "She called me so we could meet and we talked, well she did most of the talking but the story is we are done."

"How do you feel about that?" asked Amanda softly looking at him. She was curious and wanted to hear his thoughts.

Billy sighed. "I don't know. On one hand, I know that this is something that has been long time coming. We haven't been happy for quite some time now. You most about it. I tried to be the person she needed but I couldn't hold the façade anymore. On the other hand, I failed. I thought Victoria was the end game…that she and I will be forever. I put the effort, I tried and now, it's over." He turned to look at her. "How can I trust myself again with someone else, how can I trust my judgement?" he stared into her beautiful eyes.
Amanda gulped as they stared at each other knowing he meant her. She broke the contact and looked at her hands.
"How can I trust that I will pick the right person this time?" He couldn't bare it if he hurt her. She was already so important to him.

She sighed. "I know what that feels. I thought Ripley was the one. I even accepted his proposal. I mean out of all the man in the world, I chose him and look how it turned out?"

"We are quite the pair aren't we?"

They shared a look and a chuckle.

"I wanted to go and get drunk you know. To just let go and drown myself. It's what I always do when things get to too messy but here I am…with you." He stared into her eyes and their gazes held. He broke the contact and chuckled. "It's funny that I always find my way to you."

"Maybe it's because we are each other's safe space." Said Amanda with a shrug. There wasn't any other explanation really.

"I think so too. Yes. It's amazing how a twist of fate could the course of your life." said Billy with a smile.

"Yeah." said Amanda smiling back.

They could both feel the shift between them. He decided to just say what he wanted out loud. "I want to be with you."

"Billy we have both just had painful breakups. I don't think either of us are ready for a relationship."

"I know that. My head is telling me that I should wait, I should give this time but I look at you and I wonder why the hell I should. All the emotions I feel that I never thought I would anymore, they all lead back to you." He watches as she gasps gently and he always liked to see that, how much his touch affected her so much. He holds her hands and said gently, "I am not going to force you to be with me Amanda. If you want time, I will wait. I just wanted you to know how I feel."

"How can you be certain of how you are feeling? You loved Victoria and you 2 have a long history. You can't just get over that…"

"I can get over that because it's been a long time coming. I am sad only because I am closing a chapter. That is never easy even when you have long accepted but the point is, the chapter is closed. I am free Amanda." His hand caressed her cheek gently, looking into her eyes, imploring her to listen. "I don't want to move on without you. I want to take the steps forward with you by my side. We have already helped each other through a lot already. Why stop now? Don't you want that?"

"I want that too Billy but the timing…"

"The timing might be terrible but when is it ever right? Things happened all the time that could stop us or prevent us. I say we just take the plunge, work through everything together. So what do you say?"

"Ok."

"Ok?"

"Yes." She said with a bright smile. "But we take things slow." she demanded gently.

"How slow?" asked Billy leaning in closer, "Do I get touch you and caress your smooth skin (his fingertips trailed the skin on her neck and cheek watching as her eyes grew darker), do I get to feel your hands around me, holding me, touching me? (She tightened her arms around him sighing softly), do I get to taste your skin, feel it against my lips? (He leaned in and kissed her down her neck, nibbling on her ear. Hearing her gasp)…"
He didn't have to say anything before she kissed him, deep, passionate and he couldn't help but surrender to it. The kiss went on, his hands trailed a path from her shoulders, down her waist to her back, pulling her closer to him, feeling her soft petite body against his. She felt so good.

"So is this slow enough for you?" asked Billy when he finally got his breathing under control, looking up at her face as she sat on his lap.

Amanda chuckled hitting his chest blushing.

Their first date

Amanda stared at the building in front of her. They were at a gallery. Perfect place for a first date she had to say but what puzzled her was that, it was way past their working hours and it was closed. She turned to Billy. "Billy?"

Billy smiled at her. "You look absolutely breath-taking you know." His gaze trailed from her curly hair pinned back with strands falling to the side of her face, a green dress, long sleeved and looked modest except it was mid-thigh and backless and fit her body to a tee. The heels she wore elongated her legs and she looked gorgeous. He was taking her for their first date and it still amazed him how happy he was, how free he felt when he was with her.

Amanda blushed at his words and gaze. "Thank you. You are not too bad yourself." He was in a black suit which looked great on his lean body. Taking her hand in his he said, "Come on."

"Uh, where exactly because this place seems to be locked and you promised me dinner. This doesn't look like a restaurant." she said her brows raised. She was really hungry and needed some food.

"You really need to stop being a doubter." said Billy with that smirk of his that made her weak to the knees and just go along with whatever madness he plans.

"At least tell me you are not breaking in because I don't want to get arrested."

He wore an indignant look. "When have I ever got you arrested? You really need to have more faith in me." he finished with a pout.

"Ah…No…" she laughed lightly. "History tells me otherwise." she said with a raised eyebrow and giggled at his mock hurt expression. When they got to the door, He knocked twice and a man appeared. It was as if the man had been waiting for him. "Mr. Abbott, Miss Sinclair."

Amanda smiled at the short stocky man in greeting.

"Hello Donald. Is everything ready?"

"Yes sir. Have a wonderful night."

"Thank you." He said smiling.

She followed him through the lobby and into the elevator and he punched the highest floor. She was still wondering what was going on when he led her to a room at the end of the corridor.

She gasped at the sight that greeted her. A large circular, observatory with a glass roof, the cover lowered with the night sky open for them. There was a large telescope mounted on one end. On the other end of the room was a set table for 2, candle lit with flowers and food in bowls and wine chilled in a bucket of ice. "Billy…" she gasped. "How…" she was stunned at the beauty of the room

"I am good friends with the owner and he owed me a favour or 2. You told me you like art and stars. I decided to combine the 2. Do you like it?"

"I love it. Babe…this is amazing!" said Amanda looking around before she turned back to him. "Thank you for this." She said pulling him down and kissing him.

"I am glad you like it." said Billy smiling, her happiness was infectious. "Let's+ have the food while it's still hot." He said leading her to the table and opened the chair for her. He then poured some wine and settled down, dishing the still hot food.

"How is it still so hot?" she asked taking a bite of the wonderful food that seemed to melt in her mouth, bursting with flavour.

"Well I got a caterer to make it for us and he did it in time for our arrival."

"This is amazing." said Amanda stunned that he had gone to all this lengths.

"It gets even better. We have the whole place to ourselves until midnight. We can take a tour and see the art too."

"Seriously?" said Amanda in disbelief

"Yeah."

"Oh this is the best first date ever."

"What was your other first dates like?"

"Let me see, the first one was to a bowling alley that smelled and was too noisy…the other one thought it would be great to go to a football game.(she rolled her eyes) We ate lukewarm fries and spent the whole time cursing at the players. And then there was another guy who took me to a really boring concert." She said listening to Billy's laughter at her misfortune. "What about you?"

"I have always been good at first dates." Amanda gave him a look. "Ok, maybe when I was 14 I took her to a betting cage and let's just say she had to got to the emergency room."

Amanda laughed at that. "Well you pass the bar with flying colours." They stared at each other smiles on their faces.

After the amazing dinner, they sat on the chair and looked at the stars and constellations, laughter filling them as Billy who really had no idea about stars, told her made up names.
Billy looked at her laughing, her eyes twinkling a joy and happiness radiating from herself. Unable to resist, he drew her in and kissed her. They sat there passionately kissing, bordering on making out.

"Wow…" breathed out Amanda still amazed how good it felt to kiss him and be kissed by him. No one awakened her nerves the way that he did. No one made her feel that good. Maybe it was because it was still new, maybe it will fade? She hoped it didn't.
Billy didn't respond, just leaned in and kissed her again, this time a slow kiss.

They had a great time looking at the art, without other people to disturb them. They were even allowed to a private section of art that hadn't been exhibited yet. It was the perfect date. "Thank you for the perfect date."

"Expect more where that came from." said Billy with a laugh. They stood staring at each other before he said, "I should go." He took her in his arms and they kissed gently softly

"Stay." She whispered gently in his ear. She knew what his staying meant and she was ready for it, she was ready to be with him in every way. She knew it was too soon, that it went against 'going slow' but she wanted him and she knew he wanted her too. Why deny themselves? She was already in deep anyway. He smiled and kissed her before he followed her into the suite, the door closing behind them. (You know what happens next)

Meeting Johnny and Katie

Amanda was so nervous. She was sitting in the park, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, sitting on a picnic blanket, the sun shining down on her. It was a nice day but yet she was clammy and unsettled. Today she was going to meet Johnny and Katie and she felt like she was going to throw up. She was more nervous than the first time she had met Jill. Those little kids were Billy's world. He would do anything for them, to make them happy, to see them smile. She had seen first-hand how devoted he was to the kids when Victoria tried to keep them away from him. If they didn't like her…she didn't know what that would mean for her and Billy.

Billy had tried to make her feel better. He told her that he had already told the kids about her and they were eager to meet her but she wasn't sold. Victoria already didn't like her (she had thrown quite a fit when she discovered they were together accusing them on cheating and her of breaking up her family) and who knows what she had told them about her. This was something that she just had to experience in order to settle her mind.

Her heart began to beat faster when she heard them approaching and she turned around. He was walking toward her, looking so tall and lean in black chinos and a maroon thermal shirt, his hair sleeked back. On either hand, were 2 little children. Gorgeous little children. Both had blonde hair, fair skin and the little boy up close shared his father's eyes and face shape. The little girl was beautiful. She favoured her mother more and she had blue eyes.

"Hi." said Amanda smiling at the 2 of them.

"Hi." said the little boy while the little girl looked shy. "I'm Johnny."

"Hi Johnny. I'm Amanda." She said warmly a bright smile on her face.

"Daddy told us about you." said the little boy coming closer to her making his sister inch closer too.

"He did, did he?" she asked looking at them then smiling up at Billy before turning back to the kids. "Well he told me about you too."

"You are pretty." said Katie, talking for the first time inching even closer to her.

"Oh, thank you. I think you are beautiful." She said running her hand in the long blonde hair earning a blush and a cute giggle.

Billy watched as his girl bonded with the kids. They were soon sitting next to her, talking to her and she seemed to just link with them. She had been worried for nothing. He had known his kids would warm up to her and love her. What's not to love? They spent the day with the kids, playing on swings, running around with a ball and just bonding.

"Today turned out well." said Billy pulling her closer in his arms kissing her lightly then perked her on the lips. They were lying on the bed.

"Yes. It did didn't it." said Amanda a little surprised at how much the kids seemed to like her. They had even had trouble saying goodbye making her promise to come see them again.

"I told you, you had nothing to worry about." Said Billy pulling her up on top of him relishing in her giggles.

"Billy…"

"I love you."

Amanda stared deep in his eyes, her heart filling like it was bursting. "I love you too." She said leaning down and kissing him. It didn't take long for the kiss to escalate, clothes were shed, hands touched everywhere. Soon they were making love.

Moving in together

Amanda closed the door after the last mover and stood there, surrounded by boxes that needed to be packed. They had just officially moved into their house, a real home with 2 levels, a pool, a yard… after living at the Grand Phoenix for long, they felt they needed a place of their own. She had wanted an apartment, something small and intimate but Billy had convinced her. "Why move into an apartment when we are going to move out anyway?" he had said to her. "We are going to get married, we are going to have our own babies. Why not get a house now which we can make into a home? Katie and Johnny can sleepover and we will have enough room for more."

It had sounded wonderful and smart too so they had gone on the market searched and this house had come up. It was big enough, 5 bedrooms, a large kitchen, 2 lounge areas, dining, an office they would share and even had a wine cellar and a basement. They had made Johnny and Katie's rooms, their bedroom was still a work in progress and they had a mountain of boxes to unpack, most of them hers.

"Welcome home my love." said Billy taking her in his arms looking at her. His life had changed for the better since he met her and it was getting even better. She was an amazing woman, funny, driven, she didn't take any crap from anyone including him and he was even more convinced she was his soul mate.

She smiled up at him. "We have a home. We actually have a home."

He pushed a strand from her face. "Yes. This feels so good. Making all these steps forward with you. I love you Amanda Sinclair."

Amanda sighed melting into him love filling her heart almost as if it was bursting. "I love you too Billy Abbott." She said kissing him. She squealed when he suddenly lifted her in his arms and she instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist, her arms around his neck.

"Babe…we need to pack up…"

"That can wait. We need to christen this place."

Amanda's giggles were kissed away into moans as he carried her to the nearest flat surface which was the kitchen counter.

The engagement

Amanda was so excited as Billy led her onto the gorgeous white yacht. She smiled at him marvelling at him wearing white knee length chinos and a blue button down short sleeved shirt. He had surprised her with the getaway weekend trip to (an island of your choice) after declaring they needed a break from their lives. This was the furthest they had gone. They had till now, remained in the states, Florida, NYC, Vermont and most of those times, they had the kids with them..

The Island was secluded, private and very beautiful surrounded by clear blue waters and white sandy beaches. The villa they were staying in, like the other 11 villas on the island was privately set with ocean views, a Jacuzzi and infinity pool, lounge with earthy tones, a bedroom with a large bed en suit with a large claw bathtub. They also had their own butler if they needed service. Everything was perfect.

They had taken walks on the beach, snorkelled, talked under the moonlight, made love. It was the perfect getaway. Now he had chartered them a boat ride for a day and she was excited.

Billy smiled at her. She looked gorgeous in a white maxi dress, gladiator sandals and brown sunglasses perched atop her head. Her hair was let down, blowing gently in slight breeze. She was so beautiful he often just stared at her marvelling at how such a beauty honoured him with her presence and love.

"Thank you so much for this babe. This is place is beautiful. I wish we could just stay here." she said looking at him, eyes twinkling, skin glowing, happiness radiating from her.

"We could." said Billy wrapping his arms around her kissing her lips gently.

Amanda giggled at that. "Your mother will not be happy about that."

"She would have to get over it." He said nonchalantly making her laugh moving out of his arms.

He watched as she walked to the rail, looking out at the vast water, making a picture perfect moment.

Amanda was about to point to Billy that she had just seen what looked like a dolphin when she heard him call her gently. Turning her head, she gasped, her hand coming to her mouth as she stared at him. Billy was on one knee with an open box looking up at her with so much love it nearly knocked her off her feet.

"Babe…" said Amanda with emotion. This one year and a half that they had been together was the best she had ever felt. She had never been in a relationship with someone was like Billy. Someone who listened to her, someone who understood her, someone who loved her. Jack and Jill and even Victoria often told her how much she had changed Billy for the better but it was him who changed her. He made her learn to trust again, to love again, to open herself again.

"Amanda, I love you. Since the day we met, I think I always knew. You make me the happiest I have ever been. With you, I am free, free to be myself, to be the best version of myself if only to try and keep up with how wonderful you are. You are amazing, this beautiful, driven, passionate woman who loves my kids, who loves me. You are the woman my dreams Amanda, you are my love, my heart, my life. I cannot live this world without you. Will you marry me my angel?"

Amanda was crying, tears flowing freely. She nodded her head and watched as a smile bloomed from his beautiful face.

"Yes?"

"Yes…yes! Yes! Yes!" cried out Amanda falling into his arms and he had to settle himself so they wouldn't fall. He held her close relishing in their love. They kissed passionately and then Billy rose, helping her up. He took her hand and gently placed the ring. It was beautiful and it fit perfectly. "I love you." He said smiling at her.

"I love you billy." said Amanda tearfully unable to stop looking at her ring. He had totally surprised her with this trip and then this engagement. She hadn't expected it and she loved it. The ring was really beautiful solitaire 3 carat cushion diamond ring and it looked amazing on her finger.

"Do you like it?" asked Billy holding her hand looking at her. He was so happy he could burst. She had said yet. They had taken the first step on their road to be together.

"I love it. It's so beautiful." said Amanda tears still in her eyes. It was every girl to dream of being proposed to and hers had come true and he done it so romantically too. She didn't know what she had ever done to be this blessed. "I love you fiancé."

"I love you too fiancée. Thank you for saying yes."

"Thank you for asking." she said and they kissed long and passionately.

XXXXX

After all these moments and more, they were here, together, ready to take the next step.

"Hi." He said with a smile.

"Hi." She said softly, smiling back at him.
