The Magic Council, an organization that makes sure all is peaceful and stable in the magic world. They are in charge of making sure crime is punished with those who utilize magic and they must be fair and balanced. To go against the council would be dangerous as it could lead to the downfall and the disbandment of a guild.
"Hyberion!" Jura called out as he entered his chambers. "Here is some of that paperwork you wanted." Even with it being the middle of the night, they're work is never really done.
"Thank you, Jura." Hyberion said. As the chairman of the council, Hyberion has more responsibility than most council members. Jura handed him over a small stack of papers. "Is this really from Fairy Tail? It's smaller than usual."
"You can say that again." Jura said. "I suppose we owe it all to the younger generation of that guild. They aren't as destructive as the previous generation."
"Yes. More specifically, the one called Natsu Dragneel." Hyberion said. "He's a reckless one. He doesn't even seem to care about the collateral damage he brings wherever he goes. I wish they would teach him some discipline."
"I wouldn't fret to mush about it." Jura said. "Natsu Dragneel might be reckless and destructive, but his heart is in the right place. He just puts the wellbeing of his friends and others above everything else. Natsu holds a true value of life…in a way. Most members in Fairy Tail do."
"I suppose." Hyberion said. "I've never met them personally like you have. So I suppose you would know them better than I do. However, as members of the council, we must be willing to act in the name of balance and security."
"Yes. I'm well aware of that." Jura said. "Still, Fairy Tail is a fine guild that puts their friends and life above all else. They never act unless you give them a reason to be provoked. Natsu might be reckless, but his daughter is a different story. She's a powerful wizard, but she hasn't brought as much destruction as her father does. She appears to be a good kid."
"I suppose." Hyberion said. "Fairy Tail might be the most powerful guild in all of Fiore, but that doesn't justify their actions. If they do something that is out of line, we must be willing to act."
"I know. You don't have to constantly remind me. I'm well aware of my responsibilities as a councilman." Jura said. "My point is that with the current generation of this guild taking its place, I say there's less to worry about." It was just any other ordinary day in the magic council, but someone is about to change that. Someone was just outside the headquarters of the council and was up to something sneaky. "It's getting late, Hyberion. Don't you think we should be heading on home and calling it a night?"
"I suppose you're right." Hyberion said as he placed his work away for the night. He turned out the lights and was on his way out with Jura, but they stopped as they heard something loud.
"What was that?" Jura questioned.
"It sounded like an explosion. It came from the main conference hall." Hyberion said. Both of them hurried through the halls and tried to find the source of the explosions. "Who would be foolish enough to attack the council?"
"No clue, but whoever is doing this won't be escaping." Jura said. They headed straight for the main conference hall, but they saw a few of their employees knocked back. They saw the main entrance was on fire and it appeared to be worse on the inside.
"What's going on?" Hyberion questioned.
"There's an intruder, sir." One of their frog-like employees said. "Whoever it is, is right inside."
"We'll take care of the intruder. Get some men out here to put out these flames." Jura said. He used his earth magic and created stone slabs for him and Hyberion to walk on. Both of them went inside and were looking around for the intruder.
"These flames are intense. How can there be so much fire?" Hyberion questioned.
"Where's the intruder?" Jura questioned as they had a look around. They heard laughter and it sounded like a girl. "A woman?"
"Keep your eyes open." Hyberion said. Both of them looked around to see where it was coming from. Jura searched around and spotted her directly above them. "There!" He used his magic and tossed one of the slabs at her, but she was able to jump out of the way. Whoever it was, was a little nimble.
"I've got you." Hyberion said as he held out his hand and held out two fingers like a set of fangs. He used vampire magic and it worked. He was able to capture the target and the mystery girl was paralyzed as she jumped into the air. She held her neck in pain and dropped to the ground.
"Nice work." Jura complimented again. He used his magic and formed a small stone prison to hold the intruder down. "Now let's see who has attacked us." Both of them hurried over to where they caught the intruder. Jura moved the rocks enough for them to see who it was. However, when he looked inside, he got rid of the whole thing and saw the intruder wasn't there.
"She must have slipped away when we switched our magic around." Hyberion said.
"Where is she? Who is she?" Jura said as they looked around to find her.
"Up here, old timers." Both of them looked up and were able to see who they were dealing with. They were really surprised with who it was. This girl wore a black vest with white pants and sandals. She wore nothing, but a bra under that vest. The most distinct features were her scaly white scarf, pink hair, and the fact that she had a certain guild emblem on her right hand.
"Nashi? Nashi Dragneel?" Jura questioned. He couldn't believe it. Nashi attacked the headquarters of the Magic Council? "What is the meaning of this?" Nashi didn't answer. She just turned away and jumped outside.
"Wait!" Hyberion said as he jumped towards the opening. He stood up there, but it appeared she was already long gone. It was perplexing and couldn't understand it. Why would Fairy Tail attack like that?
"Why? This isn't like Fairy Tail." Jura said. Fellow workers, frog-like creatures and Rune Knights, of the council came in and got to work on the flames.
"Sirs? Are you both okay?" One of their employees asked.
"We have a surveillance lacrima in here and throughout the headquarters, correct?" Hyberion asked.
"Yes, sir." The employee said.
"Were there any other intruders seen in the area?" Hyberion asked.
"Not that I'm aware of." The employee said.
"Take a look at all the surveillance lacrimas." Hyberion said. "Let's see if there was anyone else involved in the attack. Also, put out a warrant for the arrest of….Nashi Dragneel of the Fairy Tail guild." Nashi has attacked the Magic Council? What could have caused her to do such a thing?
