this is my own vission after ben 10 ultimate alien series ended. soooo please bear with me guys, I haven't improve my amatuer writing skills since 4th grade and boyyy that's a long time, so much time has been wasted hemming and hawing. But here I am trying to get back onto the path That I've left behind soooo here it is.
Gwen's pov
3 years...
It has been a while since our lives been settled after my cousin ben prove to the entire universe who he really was. We're still doing our job as plumers, still kept chasing unredeemable aliens here and there but the thing is, everything's light and easy now that we took that step that brought us to this state.

"Ben, I think gwen has a point." kevin said, agreeing to what I said.
"Wouldn't that make me less of a threat to them?"
"that's why we're making up with them, every single foe that we faced since the beginning of time." I said.
"What?!did I heard you right gwendolyn? EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM?"
"Whoa, you don't have to be overreacting that much." kevin retaliated.
"Well what are you gonna do kev?"
"I'll just zip my brat mouth and agree with gwen." Ben pouts. he's so like still 10.
"Okay, yeah, fine. I know I'm asking much but don't you see?they are not causing troubles anymore and want nothing to do with us."
"That's the problem with you couz, you always think that way. What if they are just planning anything worst than we can imagine?"
"trust me, It's not. Grandpa agreed with me as well that our former foes have stayed downwind."
"Pfft alright if you're so sure, would you ever make things up with charmcaster?"

"Well?"he added.
I just...maybe he's right this is foolish, I shouldn't keep insisting knowing he would threw it back at me with that...that name.
Charmcaster.
Are you still holding any grudges against me?
"Uhm, Earth to gwen?" ben says while waving his hand in front of my face.
"Would you stop doing that tennyson?she's might be thinking of something."
"Look at you, always under my cousin's." he laugh.
"Why you--hey g-gwen?are you alright?"I snapped back to reality when I heard kevin's voice.
"Uh, yeah s-sorry; just got lost in trance I guess."
"You sure did, after tennyson ask you that question."
"huh? wha?-- Oh."
"So gwen, I just decided that I'll make up with our former foes who'd already lay low themselves, only if you'd make up with charmcaster. That is my deal."
"Excuse me Benjamin Tennyson, from what I remember charmcaster is also your foe." I said, raising a brow at him.
"Nuh-uh, you two always heats up intensively when we always encounter her back then. It's like everytime you fought against each other, you two are destined to fight since the day you were born."
"I'm with ben at this one." kevin chuckled.
"So what do you say?I'm basically the one that's earned thousands of foe so I'll make amends with them first and charmcaster will be our last stop, for you."
Stubborn. I have no other choice, better restore the world by this than nothing.

Reminiscing to that, The universe would not be the way it is if we haven't took that life changing step. We made amends to all of our foes and maintained our aquaintances, they even started doing good stuffs that cleared their reputation.
but there is someone...
Charmcaster.
I failed to made things up with her because Ledgerdomain still remains locked. And without knowing It's new secret true name, we can never reach out to her. I can never reach out to her.
I got out of bed to reach for her spellbook.
Hmmm.
I guess I won't be needing it anymore, I might as well return it to hex.
We also made up with him, he's hard at first as we expected, actually they all are, But he is by far the most difficult to deal with but I never gave up on him. Because, how am I suppose to make up with Charmcaster if I can't handle her uncle?
Well for once, we happened to be in a truce with one another when we are in Ledgerdomain. When we are chasing Aggregor and helping her defeat that Adwatia along the way who holds the Alpha rune, another part of The Map of Infinity.
Ofcourse that truce didn't last long because of Michael Morningstar, Darkstar. He ruined our truce when Charmcaster fell for him, only to find out that we've dated before, and that she heard him called me 'Lovely Gwen'. She got really furious and threw me out her balcony. After that night we came back from Ledgerdomain, I took one last glance at her well being. Her eyes full of rage and pain at the same time while she holds a blank expression, just staring right at me then she turns her back and the Door to Anywhere vanished, and so was her.
Well that's that, I guess I'll never get to see her again, she locked herself up inside Ledgerdomain. Hex and I tried every single day in those 3 years reading every book, taking every lead that will take us to know the secret true name of the place, but nothing seems to work. I don't even know if we're still gonna try.
The thought of this makes me feel...Drained. So I decided to head outside to feel some fresh air when suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw somebody.
"uhm, hello? is anyone here?" I called out.
I felt a loud thud at my back, then there's ben, who came down from a tree.
"Hey gwen, what are you doing out here? it's already nightfall." ben asked.
"Just wanting to feel some fresh air, that's all. well what about you?"
"I just had a fight with julie." he said weakly.
"Again?Why?what is it this time?" I said worriedly.
"I don't know, things between us always seems like it's not working out. I don't want to give up but it's kinda like she wants me to." he stressfuly said, with a distraught on his face.
"Try to see if she's onto something, maybe like she's just in a situation where she cannot handle things that's why she kinda drop it all up on you."
"Is that the same thing that goes between you and kevin?you cannot handle certain things that's why he feels like you want him to just give up too?" He said looking at me with a tired face.
That caused me to just pause for a second. Well Kevin and I are really not in good terms right now, and our cool off seems to last to an eternity when it has only been 3 weeks, and he doesn't want to say anything whenever I tried to reach out to him.
"Well he doesn't get me, that's why we're still stuck on this situation...just watching everything fall apart, and I don't know if he's gonna do something to save this relationship." I said looking down at the street. "And that whole 'he feels like you want him to just give up too?'did he told you that?" I said with a firmed tone.
"He did. Atleast that's what he felt, now I'm curious right now is that really the case?be honest gwen."
"No! ofcourse not. It's just, he can't understand what I have to do, while there's me supporting him in everything he does, Our situation is really different ben. He provoked me to call a cool off because I can't handle him being around and so objective in everything I do, I feel like I'm choking through his grip. I can't handle him right now Ben."
"I get it. But I'm gonna tell you this gwen, Stop it. Stop trying to gain access to Ledgerdomain, stop trying to reach on to Charmcaster, just Stop. If she's not here to make amends with, then you don't have to. She's not anything important right?so why bother?let Hex do it himself if he wants his niece back so badly. Please, it's the only way I know for you and kevin to get back on track." He said eagerly.
"I will...think on that, thanks Ben. I really am the one who should give you advice regarding on julie, but you changed the topic and drop by my issues with kevin." I said as I rolled my eyes
"Well he said to brought it up whenever I get the chance to finally speak with you properly." he chuckled.
"He really wants me to feel guilty, Ugh." I groaned.
"You know how dramatic he is." He chuckled once more. "But no, really I just want to talk you into it because I can't stand the three of us being this apart."
"Well look who's been contaminated by kevin's drama." I giggled.
"Hey I'm just!--hmm oh well now that I think about it, I think it's time to make everything up with julie." he said lighting up.
"Yeah go on call her, I'm off to bed too. Good night Ben" I said.
"K, thanks again gwen, night" He said bidding goodbye.
I opened the front door and lock it up. when I got inside, I head straight to my room and quickly drop myself onto my bed. As I close my eyes I remember what ben said,

That night I couldn't sleep well like any other nights and I don't know as to why. I got out of bed and took a quick shower and get dressed, and ready off to school. You know, boring college life. But mine is really a looking forward thing everyday because of one thing, and that is Philosophy.
I purposely took this class to find out and learn something that might link me to opening that Door to Ledgerdomain, but there is nothing.
I had all every important texts, booklets and even Scripts that only a magical being can understand, Hex and I translated every single one of them but there's just nothing.
"Can I drive you to school?" A voice said, lowering the window of his car.
Kevin.
"I'm fine, thank you." I said and walked away. I heard the door click open and there he was, standing in front of my way.
"Please, I want to fix this thing out." He said in a serious tone.
I sighed and just nodded.
"Great, uhmm here." He opened his car doors with a smile on his face, I hop in and wear the seatbelt.
"So..." he cleared his throat. "how's everything?"
"Fine, I guess." I said looking straight to the road.
"Hmm, about us--"
"Kevin, maybe not now, I got loads of things to think about" I said cutting him off.
"Right, Ben told me you have an examination to take today." He sighed, feeling defeated.
After that, the whole ride to my school was silent. I remember him glancing everytime but I just ignored his stares, I really want to fix our matters and thankfully he finally made his move, but he's in a wrong timing at this moment because I didn't get enough sleep, and this test coming up later ughhh! I just want to get this over with. He got out of the car to open the side to where I was sitting, and extended his hand to help me out. I took it and got out of the car.
"So this is your stop?" He spoke.
"Yes, t-thank you for the ride." I said slightly smiling at him.
"Don't mention it, I gotta go." He said bidding his goodbye.
Before he got into the car, I had this urge to stop him.
"Uhh, kevin?" I called. He closed the door and look up at me.
"Yeah?did you forgot something?"
"No, I just..."I paused. "Are you free this evening?"
"Depends, why?what's the hold up?" He asked.
"Meet me at Mr. Smoothies this evening, and I hope you get what I meant by this."I said hopefully. His eyes lit up and rushed towards me.
"That'd be great, I'll be there." he said smiling so genuinely at me. He gave me a forehead kiss, got into his car and drove off.
Oh, kevin.
Time easily passed and the bell rang, signalling that this day is over. I sped out of my room and headed outside. I immediately took a stroll to Mr. Smoothies, where I spotted kevin already waiting for me.
"Hey" He greeted.
"Hi, did I took so long?" I asked as I sat across him.
"No, not at all. Just right in time" He said smirking at me.
"What's with the smirk right there Levin?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Nothing, really." He chuckles, "I'm just glad we're finally talking about this."he said still smirking.
"Well, I kinda talk to ben last night and..." i paused.
"And?" he asked. "And you missed me?" he added while the smirk on his face never fadded.
"Fine! I did, so stop smirking like that." I admitted while rolling my eyes.
"Why would I? I'm sure you also missed this signature smirk, actually this is what you missed the most do ya'?" He said rising his brows up and down.
"Whatever" I giggled as I rolled my eyes at him once more. "Are we gonna order yet?" I asked.
"Don't you worry, someone's already on to that" He said as the front door of the building opened.
"Smoothies for all!!" Ben shouted excitedly. He's really a fond of smoothies.
"I invited him, I hope you don't mind" kevin chuckled.
"Well, a trio will always be a trio." I said giggling.
"So?are you two back on track from the cool off thing?" Ben asked.
"Sure thing, right love?" Kevin said, smirking again.
"Well yeah, but we still have to talk about it. But you bursted here so,"
"Ouch, gwen" Ben said pouting "yeah right do it later, I'mma just drink all these smoothies" he said looking like a child. Ugh who could've thought that being a hero was destined for him?
"So about your test, how did it go?" Kevin asked.
"I passed, you know what I do." I winked at him.
"That's Gwen Tennyson right there, MY GIRL." He said full of pride. I chuckled at his gestures, I really missed us like this.
"Oh right, ben?" I said getting his attention.
"Yup?" He said between gulps.
"Have you set matters with julie as well? I asked curiously.
He paused for a second. "Well...It's kinda difficult." He said, being aggitated.
"What do you mean? I thought you called her last night?" I said with a frown.
"Well it turns out that she blocked me, I couldn't reach out to her anymore." He said with his eyes shut.
"Why would she do that? Are your matter's really that serious?" Kevin spoke.
"I don't understand her. I'll be cool if she wants a cool off like gwen did, but she really don't want to talk to me at any point." Ben said in exhaustion.
"In that case, might as well let her be at the moment." Kevin adviced.
"Do you want me to talk to her?" I asked.
"No, I really should just let her be. Thanks gwen."
I sighed. "Okay, but if I ever bump on her at school, I'll try what I can." I said concerned.
"Thanks. Well I think let's call it a day, kev, do your thing." Ben said as he stood up.
"Right, see ya' later tennyson." Kevin said, as we watch ben left.
"He really prefers smoothies than alcohol when he's in a matter with julie." kevin chuckles.
"Well that's better, unlike any other right here." I said narrowing my eyes at him.
"What?" He laughs holding his hands up. "Come on, let's get you home." He stands reaching for my hand. I accepted it and we head straight to his car.
"Kevin?" I called to him while in the middle of the ride.
"Yeah?" He asked as he glanced in my direction.
"I'm sorry." I said. "I never should have been so keen about gaining access to Ledgerdomain." I sighed.
"I get it gwen. But please," he said as he hold my hand. "Please, stop doing that will you? You don't have to do that because she's no one to make efforts for. And in terms of making amends, you already did with hex and that's too much as I remembered. You never gave up on that old magician and that's a good thing cause we manage to tame him down. But now stop making efforts for someone who vanished from this world, someone who might already be dead--"
"You think she's dead?" I asked cutting him off.
"Well, maybe. you heard Hex at that one moment when he told us that Ledgerdomain could be collapsing little by little every second? What if that's why you cannot unlock the door to it, is because there are no longer Ledgerdomain for you to enter?" He stated, making me sigh heavily.
"You can be right about that." I said, giving up.
"Right, We don't even know if she's worth it. Let's say you've unlocked the door to Ledgerdomain and we saw her, do you think she'll be welcoming us? Do you really think that she's cool about making amends with you, with us? She'll kill us with snap of a finger like last time." Kevin said
"That's seemingly an identical statement 3 years ago, about Hex." I giggled.
"Well..." he sighed. "Your thoughts?"
"I think I'll be able to handle her." I said with confident.
"How are you so sure? She just killed us last time to brough his father back to life, and she threw you out of her balcony when she finds out that you and Darkstar dated before and that he wants you more than her." Kevin said still remeniscing.
"Well don't forget about the time we had a truce with her. That 'I' had a truce with her" I said with emphasis.
"That didn't last long enough, when all I stated just now happened between her and the three of us." Kevin retaliate.
"Fine, fine. I don't want this to turn to an argument again." I sighed as I look at him.
"So?you're gonna stop doing that right?" He said reffering to the cause of our fued.
"Yes, I will. Don't worry about it now, I'll drop by on Hex's place tommorow to tell him about that." I reassured him. As I said that, we're in front of my porch. Like always, he opened the door for me.
"So, it's all settled now okay?" He said.
"Yes, all settled" I said still holding his hand.
"Good night gwen. I'll see you tommorow." He said as he kissed me on my forehead.
"Good night." I said as I head to our front door and watched him drove off out of my site.
I went inside and locked the door, head straight to bed and found charmcaster's spell book still lying on my night stand. I laid down and reached for it, As I stared at it I remembered that this is where I started to learn about magic, until I am at this state where I am actually really like her, but somehow ahead of her.
I'm an Anodite, much more powerful than she is, but if it weren't for this spellbook, It would be too late for me to discover what I can do if my Grandmother never told me about what I possesses. I don't want to admit this but, I owe her everything, that's why I really want to make everything's up with her.
I lived fighting with her for so long and I kinda been used to it. It's like I can never imagine living without her wanting me dead.
"Right, you want me dead." I said as we both break to that embrace.
"Maybe just, badly hurt?" She said looking straight at me.
"Well, I hope your not dead. I still want to see you holding onto this." I said reffering to the spellbook. I stick out my arm to put it back inside the drawer of my night stand, I closed it and turned off the lampshade.
Before I finally closed my eyes, one name still lingers through my mind,
