It was a cold, windy Thursday night when Mina Ashido swiped her upgraded student ID to get into the dorm room. Careful to be quiet as to not wake up the dorm she tiptoes inside and gently sits on the couch and pulls out her iPad to start scrolling "I wish that I didn't have to keep studying like this until midnight". She thinks to herself when she gets a notification at the very top of her screen

Mina let out a squeal that she couldn't contain even if she wanted to. She had applied for these internships out of sheer disappointment at the fact that not only did she fail her final; but was completely ignored in the public view and irrelevant during most of the villain attacks that went down at the school on her watch. But not anymore, this was the type of internship that normally went to third year students or first year pros. This was her big chance to show the school that Mina Ashido, the fun loving, hyperactive girl was more than just the sideshow to her other classmates. This was her chance to show that she was just as capable as the other girls in not just her class but the hero course too.

"Mina, can you keep it down? The rest of us are trying to sleep and it's not manly" Kirishima crowed from the middle of the hallway, scratching his unruly hair and clearly tired judging from the bags under his eyes. "I am so sorry Kiri", Mina apologized, "I just got the best news that I have gotten since my acceptance here". Waving Kirishima to the green couches, he staggers over there and plops next to her. Kirishima turns away from the bright iPhone in his face, "Give me a second" her protested. "Sorry!" Mina shrieks silently, bouncing up and down shaking both her, Kiri and the couch. "Alright, let me see" Kirishima says, grabbing the phone.

"This is amazing Mina!" Kirishima exclaims, leaning towards Mina engulfing her in a huge hug. Feeling the warmth from Kirishima's extra built chest that he has been sculpting since his days in middle school she relaxes her body in his arms. "I can't believe that this is happening. I just thought it would be a quick no like it usually is but…" Mina admitted, pulling away from Kirishima, "I mean compared to the rest of you I'm barely scratching the surface."

"Don't ever say that Mina, you are one of the manliest heroes I have ever met. You came in ninth at the sports festival, assisted in the villain attacks, and got your semi-hero license and now this major internship. Mr. Aizawa was talking about it a few weeks ago and how only third years are considered". Kirishima blurts out, grinning like an idiot punching his fist together.

"You deserve this Mina, more than anyone".

Feeling awkward all of a sudden she leans forward and scurries to the kitchen in a hurry. "You want some tea? Momo said that I can brew some of her sleepy time tea that she created just for me." Mina asks, putting the K-cup in the coffee machine as to not further disturb her classmates at this hour. "She says that because of my hyper activeness that I needed an extra dose of herbs to make me sleepy. It's really good you should really try one." Mina rambles on, grabbing the cream and sugar from the drawers.

"I'm good Mina but don't try to change the subject. You really are one of the manliest heroes that I have ever seen. I mean ever since you stood up to that villain back when we were in middle school, I've looked up to you ever since." Kirishima confesses, walking up to her. Turning to face him, she puts on her best smile and puts her hand affectionately on his shoulder. "Thanks babe, but you don't have to say that to make me feel better" she says, "I mean I know that I'm not the smartest and I have to work double time just to get the attention that you and Blasty and Tsu and Deku get. But I'm just happy it worked out this time."

A sudden rush of anger and rage overcame him and before he could think about it, he grabs Mina's wrist turning her towards him. "I'm not just saying what you would want to hear, that's really not manly" he declares, glaring into the beautiful golden yellow eyes that are before him, "I don't know why you don't believe what I'm saying but I'm not lying. You are an amazing hero who has done so much more than I can think to do right now." Sighing, she tries to turn her head away but Kiri uses his fingers to make her face him. "I mean it. I don't ever want to hear you say that you aren't a capable hero when you are going to be one of the greatest out of all of us." Unable to control her blushing, she just stares into his eyes with a small smile creeping on her lips. "Ok Kiri, I get the point" she answers, glancing at her wrist signaling him to let go of her.

"But thanks, I needed that"

Nodding, he steps back and walks towards his bedroom, "Hey" she calls out to him, making his stop in his tracks, "let's celebrate together". Looking over at the K-Cup she realizes that she forgot to put the teacup under the machine. Surprised, she grabs a towel and scrubs the counter, "why does this always happen to me?" she exclaims, making sure she gets every last drop off of the counter. Letting out a slight chuckle, Kirishima just walks over to the brown kitchen table and watches Mina, his Mina, thinking about the moment that he first met her, the moment that they were accepted together and now the moment when he realized that he was in love with Mina.
