Wedding Peach - Thanksgiving. Part. 1
Scarlet x Dean
Scarlet was watching the rain come down from the window she was sitting by.
Yuri, Momoko, and Hinagiku were with her talking about family holidays.
Yuri was going to America to visit her father on a trip this year.
Hinagiku was staying home and helping her mother with her work. And earn some extra money.
Momoko was celebrating with her mother being back and with Yousuke. And later she would also go and spend time with his family.
Scarlet just listened in on what they were saying til she was addressed.
"Scarlet?" Momoko spoke to her.
"Yes? I'm just going to be home also. My family's back in America and I don't want to fly down there." She explained.
"But...it's Thanksgiving!" Hinagiku shouted. "All that food will be wasted."
Scarlet shrugged. "Never was a fan of all that food. I'll buy some Turkey and bread and have a sandwich." She told them.
"Scarlet. You can't just buy a turkey and make a sandwich. You need to have many other things with it. Mash potato." Momoko said.
"Sweet potato." Yuri smiled.
"And the ham, green beans, and my favorite, PIE." Hinagiku said licking her lips.
Scarlet smiled. "I don't have enough for all that. And I don't have time for cooking all of it and for just myself. Besides, I think it's all just a little too extreme. Overly crazier then Christmas." She explained.
All three looked puzzled.
"I'll be fine." Scarlet said.
After a while the three gave up trying to convince her.
Later that day Scarlet left Momoko's house and headed to her place.
Arriving at her apartment, she checked the mail by the door then locked up behind her.
A barking sound came from her bedroom. Scarlet has a pet puppy now.
Jade is the best kind of dog anyone would want. A teacup goldmation.
"Hey Jade. How's my little man?" She asked.
The pup licked her all over till she stood up, sat on her couch and opened any other the mail she had.
Among her mail was bills then something spotted her eye. A cat face sticker on the envelop. The address was one she knew back in America.
Opening it she read who it was from. Dean Butler.
Emotions flowed through right as she read it. She hasn't spoken to him in a long time.
Scarlet's never had a relationship with any guy that didn't last a week.
But with Dean Butler, Scarlet O'Hara couldn't deny any special feelings for her childhood friend.
"Dear Scarlet.
It's been too long since we saw each other. I hope your doing well.
Took awhile for me to find your address to send this to you.
Anyways, Danny is doing great. He's the same old Short American haired Siamese you'll ever find. But he's also gotten quiet lazy since you left.
We also have a new face in the house hold. A Persian Main Coon. And her name is Helen. Hope you like it.
I have finished college now. And have my own place. I was the smartest in my school like you always said I was. And proved it to everyone.
I hope to see you soon. If your ever coming for Thanksgiving. I'd love to see you. Talk about old times and, just see your beautiful goddess face.
Love your childhood best friend, Dean."
Scarlet wiped the tears from her eyes. She did miss him. She missed home. But she couldn't go back. One angel had to be on alert in case some devils took over.
And right on cure, the angel alert went off and Scarlet was out the door again.
Later...
Scarlet returned home for the night and it was her turn to have Jama-P for the night.
"This will be fun!" Jama-P said.
Scarlet still didn't trust him, but if Momoko did, she'll take her word for it. She was too trusting. But after Scarlet's last boyfriend, he turned fallen angel and...tried to kill her. Twice. She never trusted anyone after that.
"We have to get some sleep. We've used too much energy fighting those devils." Scarlet said.
"If angel Scarlet says so." Jama-P said.
He went into the bathroom first to take a bath in the sink.
Scarlet didn't bother showering for the night. She quickly changed into her jemmies and went to bed with a book.
"The other angels are talking about this Thanksgiving thing. They say it's a special day." Jama-P says.
"It is. It's a day we celebrate our founding fathers. They feasted with Indians and shared many different things together. Like a family. And to this day, we all spend the day with our families just like they did. because than, they couldn't be with all their real families." Scarlet tried to explain.
"But why do all this?"
There was something Scarlet couldn't answer.
"Are you going to spend this day with your family?" Jama-P asked.
"No. My family is too far for me to travel. And I haven't spoken to them in awhile." She said.
She closed her book and reached over to cut the light. "Goodnight, Jama-P." She said and got comfy and fell fast asleep.
Next morning, Scarlet got up and found breakfast was made.
"What is this?" Someone came into her place and...unless it was...no. Jama-P couldn't he was still asleep when she woke up.
*Knock Knock.
Scarlet answered the door. No one there. But there was a letter.
"Dear Angel.
Hope you like the breakfast I made you.
I know this may seem creepy, but no one should be alone on Thanksgiving.
From a friend."
Scarlet wasn't sure how. But one thing was for sure, she was calling the girls.
Her little puppy came to the door. "Jade. Did you see someone come in?" She asked.
If only Jade could respond. If someone did however, Jade would have been barking.
"Guess not." Scarlet quickly dressed and didn't bother to eat the breakfast. She ran out the door carrying Jama-P and hurrying to the girls.
It was easy to find them all since they hang out at the same place every day.
"Girls. We have a problem." She said.
"Scarlet. What's wrong?" Momoko asked.
"Is there another devil that we weren't alarmed to yet?" Yuki asks.
"What's up?" Hinagiku asked crossing her arms.
"Someone broke into my home and fixed me food. leaving this." She handed the note to the girls.
All three read it and looked...happy.
"I think this is nothing to worry about." Yuki said.
"How was the breakfast?" Momoko asked.
"I didn't eat it. What is wrong with you three?! Someone broke into MY home and your treating this like it's nothing!" Scarlet was furious. Someone was messing with her and her own friends were just joking with her over it. "Did you three do this?" She asked in an angry tone.
All three shook their head. "No Scarlet. We didn't do that. Why would we? We are friends." Hinagiku said.
Scarlet sighed. "I want to know who left breakfast in my house. Because I always lock up before bed." She said.
All three girls looked at each other. "Alright. We all will come over and look after school." Hinagiku said.
"Thank you." Scarlet said.
School was just a long and boring day. The girls were happy though. Only because they had their boyfriends to see before next week's break for Thanksgiving.
Scarlet didn't need a boyfriend. Even if...she might have or had one. Dean was like a boyfriend back than. But then there was her fallen angel. still, she has a different life now. Now that she has her memories of being a warrior angel and a friend to these three girls.
Her life has changed. There was or is no way she's going back home.
Then something strange happened. She looked out, and among the students, there was a tall man. Dark hair, about 6.1 or 6.2, wearing a navy blue suit, but something in his face was...familiar.
"Dean?!" Scarlet shouted suddenly.
"Scarlet?" All three girls looked at her. Looking away for just one second and the man was gone.
"No. He's in America. He's not here." Scarlet sat back down in her seat with a sigh.
All three then bugged her about Dean Butler till they left school and got to her home.
When they got there... "Look you three. Dean is my childhood best friend. Okay? He and I were and are friends. Nothing more. I just miss him is all. He does live in America." She explained.
But as she unlocked the door... "Scarlet. Just wait a minute." Momoko then shut right up.
"Hello Scarlet O'Hara. Missed me did you?"
It was Dean. Scarlet couldn't believe he was here.
"I'm sorry I distracted you in class. I know how you feel about that." He smiled.
