Once upon a time, in a land far away from Equestria, the City of Tambelon was once ruled by a ram named, Grogar. Although he ruled with an iron hoof, he wanted more. Grogar wanted to dominate the land of Equestria and he threatened to destroy all of pony-kind. It wasn't until he was confronted by Starswirl the Bearded and the Pillars Of Equestria before they exiled him from Tambelon. That day, Grogar swore revenge and when he returned to take over Equestria, the Pillars Of Equestria decided to put an end to Grogar's reign of terror by using the Elements of Harmony to defeat him and his army of darkness. Once they have defeated Grogar, they used the Elements to imprison him inside a magic mirror before they locked him away inside a tower at the City of Tambelon. A prophecy was then foretold that if Grogar should ever return, then he can only be stopped once and for all when the Bell of Freedom rings. Many years later, history had become legend and legend became a myth. The Pillars Of Equestria have vanished and no pony knew that the evil Grogar would eventually return from his imprisonment. Until now...
Somewhere in a foreign wasteland, a traveling donkey named, Bray Locksmith, was carrying an old map that led him to a dark place, a place that was long since forgotten. When Bray found the exact location that was on the old map, he could not wait to explore.
Bray Locksmith: There it is! The lost city of Tambelon. And they said it was a myth! But I, Bray Locksmith, have finally found it.
The City of Tambelon was dark, gloomy and stormy with lightning flashing in the background and dark clouds swirling at the top of the city. Bray went through the entrance and he explored around the city before the donkey went inside the main tower at the square. Bray looked around inside of the ancient palace made of stone. There were pillars, tapestries, windows, and rugs. Bray was in awe of how spooky, yet amazing this abandoned place was.
Bray Locksmith: Wow! This must be the castle. It's even bigger than I thought. The halls look so ancient. Hmmm, I wonder where these stairs lead to.
Bray went up the stairs until he reached the highest floor. There, he found an old wooden door and it wasn't locked. Bray opened the old door before he took a peek at what appears to be an old sorcerer's office. There were scrolls, books, paintings, tapestries, sculptures, and even a crystal ball. The office was dark and filled with dust and spider webs. Bray ventured forth.
Bray Locksmith: Look at all of these books and scrolls. They must be a thousand years old. I wonder if I should read one of them. Let's see here...dark magic, shadow spells, necromancy, immortality, voodoo. It's all written in this book. I have never seen such writing in this book. I wonder if there's more...
As Bray Locksmith continues to look at the ancient books, he suddenly heard a demonic voice that echoed through the office. A voice so evil that it scared the donkey half to death.
???: Who dares to trot into my domain?
Bray Locksmith: GAH!!! Who said that?!?
???: I did. I'm over here.
Bray Locksmith: Where?!
???: Look to your left!
Bray Locksmith: It's too dark in here. Where are you?!?
???: I'M RIGHT HERE!!!
Bray looked from behind him and saw a demonic figure inside a magic mirror. It was a ram of pure evil. He had blue fur, glowing red eyes, yellow-stained teeth, deep blue horns, and hooves, and he wore a golden collar with rubies and at the center of that collar was an enchanted golden bell. Bray was shocked at what he just saw.
Bray Locksmith: *GASP!* You're a magic mirror. Who are you...the Unspoken One?
???: That is not my name. I am Grogar.
Bray Locksmith: Grogar? But I thought that you were a myth.
Emperor Grogar: SILENCE!!! I am neither myth nor legend. I may have been forgotten after a thousand years of being imprisoned, but I will not be mocked by some common mule!
Bray Locksmith: I'm sorry. It's just that I've never met someone like you before. How did you end up inside of that magic mirror?
Emperor Grogar: Good question. I wish that I have the answer. It was all Starwirl the Bearded's fault. He and his comrades used the Elements of Harmony to put me inside of this accursed prison before they have locked me away for over a thousand years! My goal was to expand my empire. I intended to destroy all life in Equestria, but when my enemies defeated me and locked me away inside of this castle, I never thought that I would be trapped for eternity. I was lonely until you came along. Perhaps you can assist me in getting out of this prison. First, you will need a spellbook.
Bray Locksmith: A spellbook? But where can I find that in order to release you?
Emperor Grogar: Go over to that bookcase. Search there and you will find a black book that can set me free. Go to page 37 and find a spell that can release me.
Bray Locksmith: Okay. I'll go look for it. Ah-ha! There it is. Okay, let's see here.
Bray opened the black book and went to page 37 before he spoke in a foreign language. The language Bray spoke while reading the spell was Tambelonian language, an ancient language that takes years to practice. Bray Locksmith has studied Tambelonian history, culture, and language, but the donkey has no idea who he's dealing with. When he finished reading the releasing spell in Tambelonian, a bolt of lightning burst out of the book itself before it stroke the magic mirror, causing it to crack. Grogar laughed maniacally until the magic mirror shattered and released a large amount of purple smoke around the study. When Grogar stepped out of the shadows and through the purple mist, he made a malevolent grin while bearing his razor-sharp teeth. Grogar was finally free from his eternal prison.
Emperor Grogar: Free...at last! What is your name, my little savior?
Bray Locksmith: Bray. My name is Bray.
Emperor Grogar: Ahhh, it feels so good to be free! Once again, I am free to smite the world as I did in days long past. From now on, you shall be my loyal servant. Do my bidding and I promise you that your efforts will be rewarded. Come with me, Bray. We have some work to do right now.
Bray Locksmith: Yes, my master. I shall be your servant.
Emperor Grogar: Good. Now follow me.
The evil ram of darkness had been released from his eternal prison and now he has plans to seek revenge against those who did him wrong. Grogar will stop at nothing to achieve his goal of destroying the land of Equestria and ridding the world of pony-kind. Bray followed his new master and told him how things have changed during his time alone inside the magic mirror. Grogar bared his razor-sharp teeth as his red eyes glowed in vengeful flames as he now has to begin his quest for world domination in this modern time period. But the question is, who will stand up against the evil Grogar? Well, that is when our story begins.
