It has been almost a year when I meet Marcurio. A lonely spellcaster sitting in the Bee and Barb in the shifty town, Riften. Through out our journey Marcurio always keeps to himself most of the time but for the past few months he started to open up. He started to ask if I could give him the gems that I find. He said he could turn them around making us a bigger profit that what they are worth saying that. "He knows a guy."
When it comes to sleeping on our journeys he asks, no , demands that we sleep separate. I doesn't blame him who would want to sleep next to a stranger let alone some one of the opposite sex.
It has been a long day. Killing the odd bandit, saving who needs saving. I enjoy the adventure but my favorite part of the day is to plop down onto a cozy bed and sleep away. The closest town is a small gloomy town by the name of Morthal. Seeing the signs pointing to the town I smile excited to walk into the warm inn, a bottle of mead and a try bed. Better than sleeping outside. I began to walk faster ready to get out of the cold.
"Wait up, Sunny!" Marcurio says catching up with me. "It's getting dark. You could get lost without me." He says smirking to himself proud of his comment as he walks close to . She shakes her head. "Haha you'll be afraid with out me, the mighty Dragonborn!" I laugh lifting my arms flexing both arms. "I'm still surprise you can even lift that battle axe." Marcurio laughs eyeing the ebony battle axe on my back.
Still walking I roll my eyes with a small smile.
"Well, the faster we get there the faster we could finely sleep." I say as we walk into the dimly lit town making our way to the Inn.
Once we are inside I pay for a room. I place the 10 gold coins into the inn keepers hand. Once we walk into the room I could hear Marcurio's disappointment looking at the bed. It was a double bed. The only bed in the room.
"You're going to have to suck it up." I sigh putting my weapon and my bag on the floor as I crawl into the bed.
Marcurio sat on the bed glaring right into my soul. He began to make a mark between us. "Do not go past this line at all through the whole night. If you do, I'll shock you" Marcurio warns me. I nod and chuckle.
"Fine by me." I say turning to my side away from the man closing my eyes. Marcurio looks over at me crossing his arms. He was not happy about the situation, but it was better than sleeping outside in the cold again. He turns away drifting into sleep as well.
It was the middle of the night when I woke up. I felt arms wrapped around me. Confused I turn back to see Marcurio holding me close, pulling me closer once I move. Passing the line he made in the bed between the two. My light blue eyes widen in awe but seeing how peaceful the wizard was I lay head back down. This wasn't the worst. It felt nice. I fall back to sleep enjoying my companion's embrace. Through the night we cuddle cuddle close, My back pushed into Marcurio's chest.
Soon after the sun comes up the Imperial woke up but jumps back away from Me almost falling off the bed. When I hear the thud I sat straight up looking over at him. My hand reaching for my hidden dagger in my boot. He clears his throat. I laugh. "Fell of the bed you clumsy oaf." I reach over the bed holding my hand out for him. He pulls himself up. His face still red.
I didn't say anything about that night, that I knew about his embrace. I know it would embarrass him to hell but I still smile softly at the small thought that we were becoming closer. We leave Morthal ready for our next adventure.
