Just Add Blood

Chapter 1: New Discoveries

Location: Unknown Island, Somewhere off the coast of Australia

It was a dusking night on the mysterious Mako Island, just a few miles of the coast of Australia, the stars shone brightly, as they twinkled through the Navy Bluing sky, as well as being lit up the full shining moon. On the sandy beach of the island, the salty blue water swept up and down the shore, back and forth. On the shore of the beach, lay the body of a young girl, who had messy and soaking strawberry Blonde hair, wearing soggy clothing, consisting of a burgundy Red hoodie, a pearl pink t shirt, Skinny Scarlet Red jeans & pearl pink converse sneakers, lying on her chest, as the waves swept back & forth up to her knees, as the girl began to slowly wake up.

The girl, whose name was Carrie White, then started coughing, before quickly getting up and out of the water, and further up the beach, while shaking her arms, trying to dry herself off a bit, as well as brushing the sand stuck to the front of her clothing. Carrie then looked at the distance of water from the beach she was standing upon, before sighing, lost in grief, before turning in the opposite direction, & walking off into the wilderness of her island, with tears streaming from her eyes, both out of grief and eternal sadness, and the salt in her eyes.

For the last few months, Carrie had been on the run from her home of Chamberlain, Maine, USA. From the day Carrie was born into the world, she was raised under the unstably fanatical, religious and abusive teachings of her Mother: Margaret White, Who always thought Carrie was a child of the Devil himself. Even at School, Everyone mocked, bullied & treated Carrie like a piece of trash, especially a group in her class known as the Mortimer Snerds, led by Chris Hargensen. The only people who showed Carrie comfort and respect, was the Gym Teacher: Rita Desjardin, & Sue Snell, one of the Snerds, who saw that what Chris & everyone was doing to Carrie was wrong, especially after throwing tampons at Carrie after Gym Class, when Carrie had her first menstrual Period. Sue tried to make amends for everyone's mistakes, by asking her Boyfriend: Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to the upcoming Prom, instead of her. All went well at Prom for Carrie and Tommy, until when they were announced as King & queen of the Prom. As Carrie and Tommy were crowned, it was all revealed to be a sadistic prank, set up by the ultras, as Chris and her boyfriend: Billy Nolan, poured a bucket of cold pigs blood onto Carrie, as Sue tried to warn them, only for Rita to lock her out, believing Sue was part of the upcoming prank. The ultras even played a video that Chris had recorded of Carrie's period, causing everyone to laugh at her, but in those seconds of grief and humiliation, something within Carrie snapped, as Rita tried to help her, Carrie used her secret powers of Telekinesis, that she had been secretly practicing, slamming the crowd, to both sides of the gym hall, before blasting the gym doors open, while declaring the hatred she had towards nearly everyone, screaming all the words and comments that everyone had said about her since 6th grade, before breaking down, running through the destroyed doors, and out of the school, leaving everyone in shock and growing sadness.

Since that night, Carrie turned her back on everyone, including her mother, not ever returning to her home after prom, and had to scavenge the necessary needs & supplies she needed to leave her hometown… Forever.

Carrie spent the last few months, travelling to numerous parts of Maine, before eventually stowing away on a cruise ship, hoping to go as far as she could, away from America, so that no one, not even her mother would be able to find her, ever… Carrie was eventually found out by the crew a couple of days later, but Carrie managed to jump ship & escape, but eventually fell unconscious and was swept away by the tides, until her body ended up where she currently was…

Although Carrie was now stranded somewhere she'd never been to, she needed to see if she could find shelter and food to survive, despite her feeling she wanted to die, she was afraid, unsure where she may end up. As Carrie came across some large rocks, with water streaming down one of them, she suddenly slipped and fell down a tunnel, before ending up in some sort of cave. As Carrie tried to get up, she hissed on pain, before pulling up the trouser leg on right leg, to see she'd hurt her knee, as it was slightly bleeding. Carrie then slowly limped around the cave, until she came to a pool, underneath the mouth of what looked like a dormant Volcano. To Carrie's surprise, the water in the pool was bluer than either the ocean water, or even the water in the swimming pools at school, before hissing in pain again.

Carrie then decided to clean her wound, & get herself cleaned up a bit, by bathing in the pool, as she stripped out of her clothes before slowly and gently got into pool. Carrie began washing her body and her hair, washing the salt out & off her. But as Carrie continued to clean herself, the full bright moon started to shine right over her and the pool. To Carrie's surprise and worry, the pool began to turn a lighter blue, as thousands of bubbles formed in the water, while bubbles, more like rain drops, began floating up towards the mouth of the volcano, even towards the moon itself. Carrie watched all, until she noticed, that she felt different, different like she felt she couldn't feel her legs. Carrie then swam to the edge of the pool, she then lifted her lower half up, only for her to gasp in shock, almost screaming.

To Carrie's shock, her legs had somehow disappeared, and been replaced with what look like a large blood Red Goldfish body and tail fins. Carrie even noticed her chest was being covered by a matching fish like bikini bra. Carrie immediately tried to take it off, but it was like it was glued to her skin, or even part of her, for that matter. As the Moon passed over the mouth of the volcano, and the pool water turned blue again, Carrie quickly, but difficultly got out of the pool, before taking a better look at what she'd turned into, or more like, what the moonlit pool had done to her form. At first Carrie gasped in shock and worry, but as she stared more at her new form, she stared to feel curious about it all. Carrie then wondered that if the water had made her like this, she could find a way to dry off, which might revert her back to her original human form.

As Carrie concentrated on her fish like form, steam began hissing off her, as the steam began filling the whole cave. As the steam vaporized into nothing, Carrie was then relieved, to see she'd got back her legs and human form again, before she suddenly felt tired again, and falling asleep…
