Chapter 1

A young boy awoke to the shouts of a woman, this boy was the child of one of the most hated men in the magical world, Sirius Black. He was a relatively tall boy for his age with long, black hair that covered his ears, this boys name was Felix Black and the women was his aunt Andromeda Tonks, Felix lived with his Aunt, technically not his aunt however it was easier for the whole family to follow this simpler terms than the ones of reality, Uncle Ted, and cousin Nymphadora or Tonks as she constantly corrected Felix whenever he got it wrong, Felix had lived with them ever since his father's incarceration and mothers death, his mother was a French witch named Iris Dupuis and from what he had heard she was a beautiful, caring woman who had, unfortunately, died during the war. Felix, whilst upset about the fates of his parents, enjoyed life with the Tonks family and they treated him as their own son and brother.

The reason for his awakening became evident when he entered the kitchen of the Tonks home. Entering the room he saw two things, first the glowing smile from his cousin and second a letter in his aunt's hand addressed to him from Hogwarts.

"Look at this little baby Felix" Tonks mocked in a playful tone.

"Shut up Nymphadora" Felix retorted using her full name for extra flavour.

"Tonks!" she corrected immediately "and to think I've just finished last year, could you imagine all the places I would have shown you and all the mischief we would have gotten up to together" Felix smiled and his aunt then said to him "Go on then open it," she said giving him the letter. Felix opened the letter and read the green inked writing that was inside.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,

Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Mr. Black,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

"We will go to Diagon Alley tomorrow to get your books and things" Andromeda informed the boy who nodded happily to this development. Felix spent the rest of his day bombarding his cousin with countless questions on every aspect of Hogwarts he could think of although he received mostly fabricated details and some straight-up blatant lies which even with his limited knowledge of Hogwarts Felix could tell seemed off.

Felix went to sleep excited and after a relatively restless sleep was ready to go shopping at Diagon Alley with Andromeda and Tonks. When they arrived Felix was overwhelmed by the sights. Despite Felix visiting Diagon Alley several times before he was still the same way every time he visited Diagon Alley.

"Go on then read out what you'll need" Andromeda prompted

Felix read out the list that had been sent along with his acceptance letter.

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring, if they desire, an owl OR a cat OR a toad.

"Hmm, okay we'll get your robes from Madam Malkin's first then whilst you're doing that we'll go get your cauldron, crystal phials, telescope, and brass scales, sound good" Andromeda told Felix who nodded in response. "After that, we'll get your books and wand," she continued. Felix followed his aunt and cousin through the crowds until they came to a small purple building. At this point Andromeda handed Felix the money required for his robes then left him to it, Felix entered the store just as a blonde-haired boy with a pale, pointed face left, they saw each other then immediately pretended that they hadn't and they left without saying a word to each other. Felix entered the shop and saw Madame Malkin, a squat witch dressed all in mauve who appeared to be smiling constantly.

"Hogwarts, dear?" she asked Felix in a sweet tone. "Yes thank you" Felix responded. "Right this way. Another boy is being fitted right now" she informed. When Felix entered the room he saw the boy Madame Malkin was talking about, he was a thin boy with uncontrollable black hair and glasses. "Hi," Felix said to the boy. The boy turned to face him and said hi back. "I'm Felix," he said to the boy.

"Harry," he responded quietly

"First year at Hogwarts too?" Felix questioned, Harry, nodded. "I've been waiting years for this ever since my cousin started, how about you?" Felix continued

"I've only just found out about Hogwarts," he said

"Well my uncle didn't know about Hogwarts before he started and he turned out to be an alright wizard so I'm sure we'll both do just fine," Felix told Harry with a smile. Upon hearing this Harry smiled and thanked Felix before Madame Malkin told Harry he was finished and shortly after Felix was fitted as well. Felix then made his way over to Flourish and Blottes to meet up with his aunt and Tonks

"Anything interesting happened at Malkin's," Tonks asked Felix as he regrouped with them.

"Not much," Felix told her "Saw Draco Malfoy as he left Malkin's other than that nothing" Tonk's hair flared red as she heard the name Malfoy, Tonks was a metamorphmagus as such in times of intense emotion

"Did he say anything?" she questioned

Felix shuck his head and said "No we just completely ignored each other and walked in different directions"

"Good," Tonks said with a smile as they walked into the shop and Felix saw the self of Flourish and Blotts which were stacked to the ceiling with books as big as pathing stones bound in leather. They quickly acquired their needed items and left to the Apocrathy which Felix was keen to leave due to the stench. Finally, it was time for Felix to receive what he wanted most, a wand.

The three headed to their last stop of the day as far as Hogwarts supplies were concerned. Ollivander's. Ollivander's was a narrow, shabby shop, above the door, there were peeling gold letters that read "Olivanders, Makers of fine wands since 382BC." As they entered they heard a bell go off from somewhere in the shop and an old man with wide pale eyes emerged from the back of the shop and said "Mr Black, here for you wand. Let us see which wand chooses you, which is your wand hand" Felix answered pushing out his right hand. Olivander started taking measurements with a magical tape measure which measured Felix as Olivander pulled several boxes off shelves. "Let's start with this one 8" Mable Dragon Heartstrings Springy" before Felix was able to give it a swing it was ripped from his hands "No. How about this one 9 and a half inches Birch Unicorn hair" again this was snatched from his hands as he tried to give it a swirl. This happened several more times before Olivander came out with "13" Applewood Dragon Heartstring fairly flexible" As Felix took this one he felt a sensation coursing through his body. "Yes that one" Olivander said "Applewood wands are best suited for though with high aims and mixed with the dragon heartstring, this is a powerful wand instead I hope you don't use it for the same reasons as your father"

"Of course not," Felix said as he paid for his wand and left the shop with him, Olivander certainly was a strange man Felix thought as he walked back with Andromeda and Tonks.

Before leaving Diagon Alley the three went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour where Tonks and Felix proceed to laugh and joke between themselves until they left to go home
