It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the Watterson house. Gumball was sleeping in because it was the weekend, but then suddenly got bored. He checked the time on his phone. It was 8:20 AM. "Hmm," he thought. "I'm up early." Then he got out of his bed and grabbed a towel and the clothes he was planning to wear. "Good morning, guys," Gumball said to his adoptive brother, Darwin, and his little sister, Anais.

"Good morning, Gumball!" Darwin and Anais smiled.

"Today's gonna be a great day!" Gumball smiled. "Do you wanna know why? Because after I'm done with my shower, I'm obviously gonna eat breakfast, then I'm gonna do my chores, then we'll hang up here until noon, then Darwin and I are gonna go to Penny's and chill with her for half an hour, then we're gonna come back so I can start on my homework, and possibly start a new Lola and Lana's School Adventures story!"

"Wow, Gumball!" Anais smiled. "Sounds like today is going to be a great day!"

"For once I agree with Anais," Darwin smiled.

"GUMBALL!" Nicole yelled.

"Uh oh," Anais said, looking at Gumball.

"Don't worry," Gumball told Anais. "I won't let that ruin my day." Then he said to Nicole, "Yeah?"

"I got a phone call from Principal Brown last night right before I went to bed saying that you beat up another student!" Nicole yelled.

"Yes!" Gumball said, trying to stay calm. "It's true! Is it really that big of a deal?"

"Yes it is!" Nicole yelled. "You don't have to like any of the kids in your school, but we don't hurt ANYONE!"

"Oh my God!" Gumball said with fear. "Please don't ground me! I'm looking forward to a good day!"

"No!" Nicole yelled. "You're spending your entire day in your room! No TV, no iPhone, no hanging with Penny, and no playing outside! You're gonna stay in your room and you are going to organize your room! I'll let Darwin and Anais help you!"

"Fine!" Gumball yelled. "I'll just do everything tomorrow!" Then he lied on his bed face down and started sobbing, "All my weekend plans are ruined!"

"She said we can help you clean up," Darwin assured.

"That does it," Gumball said, grabbing his school backpack. "I'm not cleaning my room. You guys do it. I'm running away from home, and I'm gonna make sure no one can see me."

"You can't run away from home!" Anais yelled. "How are you gonna get out through the window without hurting yourself?"

Gumball looked around. He grabbed all of the pillows in his room and tossed them out through the window and said, "That's my safe surface. I'll never forget you guys."

Before Gumball could jump out of the window, Anais yelled, "Gumball, wait!" Then Gumball stopped and Anais said, "Where will you go? I'm asking in case we ever wanna see you."

"I think I'll go to Bridget's house," Gumball said to Darwin and Anais.

"Oh my God!" Anais yelled. "Do you even know where she lives?"

"No," Gumball told his genius little sister. "But Siri can tell me."

Gumball then jumped out of the window and landed safely on the pile of pillows. Then he gave his brother and sister the thumbs up sign and picked up the pillows. Before he could walk away, Anais yelled, "Wait, Gumball! What should we do if Mom and Dad come in and ask where you are?"

"Cover for me!" Gumball yelled.

"Why would I cover for you?" Anais asked.

"Because I'll buy you the new Daisy the Donkey playset," Gumball suggested. "And I think Darwin will help you out."

"Yeah," Darwin said. "I'll help ya."

"Alright," Anais smiled. "It's a deal."

"Bye, guys," Gumball waved.

"Bye, Gumball!" Darwin and Anais waved as Gumball walked off.

A few hours later, Gumball was by a small purple house that said Oakman residence on the mailbox. Then the Siri on his phone said, "You have reached your destination."

With that, Gumball ran up to the purple house and knocked on the door. Bridget answered it and said, "Gumball?"

"Bridget!" Gumball cheered, hugging his nanny. "I've never been so happy to see you!"

"What are you doing here?" Bridget asked. "How did you find out where I lived? And where are Darwin and Anais?"

"I ran away from home and decided to come here," Gumball told Bridget.

"Oh, honey!" Bridget said, putting her hand on Gumball. "Come inside. You and I need to talk." They went inside the living room and they both sat on the couch. "Gumball," Bridget suddenly said. "Why did you decide to run away?"

"Because my mom ruined my good day by punishing me only because I beat up another student!" Gumball explained.

"Okay," Bridget said to Gumball. "I understand why you're upset, but that's actually a good reason to be grounded. It's a part of life. Life sucks. You're getting old."

Gumball sighed, "I know it sucks and that I'm getting old."

"Yeah," Bridget said. "Grow up! Now answer my second question. How did you figure out where I lived?"

Gumball pulled out his iPhone and said, "Siri told me."

"Oh," Bridget said. "The old Siri app. I forgot about that." She then giggled and said, "And Darwin and Anais didn't come with you?"

"No," Gumball said. "They're covering for me in case my parents ask them where I am."

"Gumball!" Bridget said in annoyance. "You do know I have to call them and let them know you're here now, right?"

"Oh," Gumball said, looking down. "I never thought of that."

"You can make yourself at home," Bridget told Gumball. "In the meantime, I'll call your parents and let them know what happened."

"Alright," Gumball said.

At the house, Nicole was preparing lunch for the kids when she got the phone call from Bridget, so she answered it and said, "Hello?"

"Hi Nicole, this is Bridget," Bridget said. She was heard through the phone. "Gumball decided to run away from home. He's at my house right now."

"Gumball is not at your house," Nicole said in disbelief. "How did he find out where you lived?"

"He's telling me he used Siri," Bridget explained.

"Oh my God!" Nicole said in shock. There was a five second awkward silence. Nicole broke it by saying, "Thank you for calling." Nicole ran upstairs, where Darwin and Anais were cleaning the room for Gumball. She said to them, "Did you guys know that Gumball ran away?"

"Yes," Darwin and Anais said together.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Nicole asked.

"He told us not to," Anais explained.

"Get in the car!" Nicole told the two kids. "We're going to Bridget's!"

Back at Bridget's house, Gumball was playing Candy Crush on his phone, when Bridget walked in with two baby chicks. Bridget said to Gumball, "Look what I have!"

Gumball gasped, "Chickies!" He then started crying with cuteness and said, "Are they yours?"

"No," Bridget told him. "I'm watching them for my neighbor."

"Aww!" Gumball smiled.

With that, the two heard the door knock. "I think that's your mom, Gumball," Bridget said, walking to the door. "I'll go see."

She then opened the door and she was right. Nicole, Darwin, and Anais were at the door. "Where's Gumball?" Nicole asked.

"He's in the living room playing with my neighbor's chicks," Bridget told them.

"You have chicks?" Darwin asked in excitement.

"Well, they're not mine," Bridget said. "Like I just said, they're my neighbors."

"Mommy," Anais said to Nicole. "Can we stay here for a while and play with the chicks?"

"Yes we can," Nicole said. "But first I need to talk to Gumball."

"Follow me," Bridget said, leading the three Wattersons. In the living room, Bridget said to Gumball, "Gumball, look who's here."

Gumball glared at Nicole and said, "Hi, Mom."

"Hi!" Nicole said in a strict tone.

"I think she really wants you to go home," Bridget told the optimistic blue cat.

"I'll go if I won't be grounded anymore," Gumball claimed.

"You're not grounded anymore," Nicole said to her son. "I just hope you won't fight with kids at school anymore."

"I won't," Gumball sighed. "I'm sorry."

"We can stay here and play with the chicks if you want, but I do want to go home in thirty minutes," Nicole told her kids.

"Alright," the kids said together.

Thirty minutes later, the kids were still playing with the chicks, until Nicole said, "Kids, it's time to go!"

"Aww!" Gumball and Darwin said together.

"Do we have to go now?" Anais asked.

"Yes," Nicole told the kids. "And once again, these are not Bridget's chicks, so you may not see them again, so what do you say to her?"

"Thank you!" the kids said together.

"You're very welcome," Bridget smiled.

"I guess this day was going to be excellent after all!" Gumball smiled. "Sure, I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but I had fun figuring out where Bridget lived."

"I had fun with you today too, dear," Bridget said to Gumball.

"And none of this would've happened if I grounded you in the first place," Nicole told Gumball.

"Then I guess it was worth it," Gumball smiled.

"Alright kids," Nicole said to the kids. "We have to go for real now. Time to say your goodbyes."

"Bye, Bridget!" the kids called.

"Bye, chickies!" Anais called.

"Goodbye!" Bridget smiled.

Outside, Gumball said to Darwin and Anais, "I wonder what kind of adventures we'll have tomorrow."

THE END!
