"See that twinkling light in the sky sweetie?"
Little Poppy, snuggled up to her mother, looked to where she was pointing, and took notice of the wonderful sight.
"I see it mommy!" She giggled.
Azalea smiled and sat her daughter closer to her chest, stroking her hair.
"That's called a 'star.' There are millions of them in the sky. Some are easier to see than others."
Just as she said that, more stars began appearing in the sky.
"Woooww." Little Poppy snuggled more into her mother, taking in the breathless sight before her.
"My mother once told me, that if you want to find your soulmate, the stars in the sky will guide you. And they will always be there to guide you." Azalea continued stroking little Poppy's hair gently, when she felt her daughter turn around and look at her, a puzzled expression on her face.
"What's a 'soulmate'?" She asked, blinking, turning her full body towards her.
"Well," The queen began, "a soulmate is someone who you feel you can spend the rest of your life with. Someone you can relate and feel connected to. Someone you can trust and depend on with all your heart. Someone.. you feel really has taken your heart and cherished it forever." Azalea smiled, thinking about her husband, Peppy, as every word she said described her relationship with him.
Poppy smiled at the big words her mother used, leaning against her once again.
"Mommy? Will I have a soulmate?" She mumbled against her warm chest.
"Of course you will honey. It just takes some time before you do get one. You have to really find the right person. That's how me and your father met. He was and still is such a sweetheart, just like you." Azalea ruffled and kissed her daughter's forehead gently.
Little Poppy closed her eyes and hummed comfortably and tiredly against her mother's chest.
"Okay," was the last thing she said, before she began to feel herself doze off slowly.
Holding her close, she began to sing a sweet melody.
When you look up at the sky
And find the twinkling stars aligned
Close your eyes that once looked before them
And take in a sweet and passionate breath
What you see before you
Is the beauty inside you
Feel the magic take control of your body
As you realize you're as bright as these stars
You're as bright as these stars
All you have to do
Is just believe that you are
"Sweet dreams my sweet princess." Azalea kissed her daughter's forehead once again, and laid her gently on her shoulder as she made her way back to their pod.
