"You think I don't know?" Artemis shouted at Percy as they sat in their shared room at Artemis' palace.

Percy replied back, "How is it my fault? How is it my fault that every time I go anywhere, girls are talking to me?"

"It just is." She was being unnecessarily stubborn, and she knew it which made her even more frustrated.

*Flashback*

Aphrodite silently slipped behind Artemis into her palace, gazing around to see if Percy was here. Once she was sure he wasn't, she made her presence known.

Artemis spun around, a silver knife in her hand as she glared at the intruder. Upon noticing Aphrodite, she frowned and lowered her knife, asking, "Why are you here Aphrodite?"

Aphrodite gave her a blinding smile and momentarily stunning Artemis from the brightness, giving her enough time to spray a liquid in the air. Artemis took a deep breath, feeling strange for a second before the feeling vanished and she asked again, "Why are you here?"

"I am concerned Arty," Aphrodite said, sweetly, too sweet for Artemis' taste and she internally grimaced but asked, "Why?"

Aphrodite smirked and answered, "Because you let Percy roam around freely. How do you know he isn't going around and having his fun?"

"Because he is my boyfriend and I have enough trust in him," Artemis defended but the doubt crept into her mind. Aphrodite retorted, "Then why does he let girls latch onto him?"

"B-Be-Because-" Artemis attempted to defend Percy, but no reason came as her mind began getting cloudy, like several thoughts trying to form an answer but not fitting together properly.

Aphrodite grinned and said, "Exactly, but hey, don't listen to poor old me." She made a fake sad face and turned around, walking slowly, till a voice called out to her, "Aphrodite."

Aphrodite turned back and saw Artemis looking at her, "What should I do? How do I know if he is going around sleeping with other women?" Aphrodite squealed inside as she saw Artemis' final barrier breaking. She had wanted to ruin Artemis ever since she made that group of man hating girls. Who hates men? Those handsome, powerful jocks. And she couldn't even influence them because little Zeus-y would get pissed and let out lightning bolts at her, which was so not good for her beautiful face.

"Thought you'd never ask," Aphrodite's expression turned dark and she slowly closed the door to the palace and cornered Artemis, knocking her unconscious. Jealousy was always the most powerful tool apart from love, and love could make jealousy.

*Flashback ends*

"You know what? I am done with you Percy. I made a fault dating another son of Poseidon," she took a deep breath, her heart was beating heart and constricting inwardly, trying to stop Artemis from continuing before jealousy but Aphrodite's mind numbing spray took control and she continued, "You are just like Orion."

Percy stepped back, his expression seemed like he had been slapped, which he had been emotionally. She did not just compare him to Orion.

"Wh-what did you say?" He hoped she didn't say, maybe she would take it back and say something else but her next words destroyed that hope, "You. Are. Just. Like. Orion."

He stepped back, his head hanging low and for just a brief moment, a pang of hurt appeared in Artemis' silver eyes before being replaced with burning hatred and anger.

He didn't reply, instead opting to leave her palace. As he reached the door, he hesitated, hoping Artemis would snap out of her anger but she remained firm and he sighed silently, tears threatening to spill and opened the door and exited, his back still visible as the door began closing.

As soon as that was over, Artemis' emotions poured out and her heart released all its feelings into her as her words sunk in, 'You are just like Orion.'

She crumpled to the floor and began crying as she realized that she had acted out of her own insecurities and jealousy and ruined one of the good things going on in her life. She kept crying, staying in the same spot, hoping against hope that Percy would return, and she would be able to reconcile. But he never did.

Seconds turned into minutes which turned into hours which turned into days which turned into weeks, but Percy never showed up. He never showed up to Olympian Meetings, making Zeus frustrated with the lack of updates about the demigods and the camps. He was never seen on streets and while Artemis attempted to hunt, she never felt his presence anywhere near. It was like he had completely disappeared.

The Olympians had noticed how Artemis would stay quiet and would not respond to any jokes Apollo made, which worried them and along with the mysterious disappearance of Perseus, they connected the dots and the result was unexpected. Athena had tried to coax Artemis into letting go of Perseus, but the goddess of hunt had impolitely kicked her out of the palace and made sure Athena could not enter.

As the council was sitting, each Olympian, except Dionysus (who was fast asleep), cast worried glances at Artemis who was staring into blank space, lost in thoughts. Even Aphrodite who knew what had happened felt heavily disturbed since Artemis' broken heart was powerful enough to ruin her emotions.

Zeus bellowed, "Olympians, it has been brought to my attention that Percy has been missing for exactly a week now. Anyone have a location on him yet?"

No reply.

As he opened his mouth to speak, the doors opened and in stepped a cloud nymph, looking around nervously, before bowing in Zeus' direction and said, "Milord, I have been tasked to inform you that Perseus has been located by Lupa and her wolves near the roman camp."

Zeus nodded to the cloud nymph, who flew away, and brought out his master bolt and struck the center of the ground, making everyone's attention to snap towards him, "Artemis, I require you to go and see why Percy is with Lupa."

Artemis, who had awoken from her trance at Zeus' thunder, nodded with determination and flashed to the Hunters, all of whom were messing around with each other. Watching them after so many days brought a smile to her face.

Thalia caught her eye and she hurried over, leaving behind Phoebe and Atlanta to wrestle among each other, and said, "Milady, are we ready to move yet?"

"Yes, we are Thalia. We are going to Camp Jupiter."

"But why milady?"

"I need to talk to Lupa. I thought it would be good for you girls to meet some demigods and probably teach some of them."

Thalia gave an ear-splitting grin and shouted, "HUNTERS, TAKE POSITION. WE ARE MOVING."

The hunters stilled for a second before each hunter rushed to their tents, closing it up, the older hunters taking care of the extra sets of tents and packing up, disposing off the wood for the fire and stood before Artemis within 3 minutes.

At that moment, no one could feel prouder of the hunters than Artemis did.

No one except Percy.

The hunters arrived at Camp Jupiter, their silver parkas glittering under the sunlight while Tiber continued flowing smoothly. Artemis stared at the river, occasional ripples flowing through that reminded her of how a small action caused such a big effect.

"Milady," Phoebe said, snapping Artemis out of her thoughts and the goddess looked at her hunter and asked, "Yes?"

"Thalia told me you needed to see Lupa. Well, she isn't here so should we go look for her somewhere nearby?"

Artemis' heart broke at her hopeful voice, but this was something she had to do on her own. Sending Percy away was her fault and she would fix it. Or at least she will try to.

She shook her head and said, "Phoebe, I must go look for her alone."

"Is it something to do with Percy?" She had always been too smart for her own good. Artemis sighed but didn't deny, which strengthened Phoebe's question, who stood in front of Artemis. "What happened?"

Those two words broke Artemis' calm façade and she ended up spilling the entire story to Phoebe who listened to her without interrupting. Lucky for Artemis, the hunters had dispersed long ago to meet their siblings and probably crash the senate meeting or something.

Phoebe hugged Artemis, trying to calm the goddess down and whispered, "Artemis, it wasn't your fault. Alright, it was your fault but only partially," she corrected after Artemis gave her an incredulous look.

Artemis nodded, wiping her tears and stood up straight, like a proud warrior who was on a mission. Giving Phoebe a look, she flashed out, while the huntress muttered, "Go get your man back."

Artemis arrived at the Wolf House and noticed the wolves sitting outside, resting while some kept guard. She walked inside, letting a little bit of her aura out to make sure no wolf would dare stop her.

When she entered, she saw Lupa and Percy sitting together, animatedly chatting. From what it seemed, they seemed to be arguing about something, so Artemis decided to step in and said, "Lupa, old friend."

Lupa and Percy turned to her, both having different expressions. Lupa seemed happy, glad to meet Artemis or Diana, and rushed to embrace her old friend. On the other hand, Percy turned emotionless, but Artemis could see the pain and hurt in his sea green eyes.

Artemis pulled out of the embrace and asked, "Lupa, can Percy and I have a moment please?" Lupa looked between the two and nodded, giving Artemis a hug and walking outside. Seconds later, she heard a howl and several feet moving around before the sounds of the footsteps faded away, leaving silence in its awake.

"Percy?"

"Why are you here Artemis?"

"I wanted to talk to you."

Percy shook his head, "I think you already said enough last time we talked."

"Percy…"

"No, Artemis. I don't want to hear it. You broke up and it was your decision. I don't want to listen to you. So go away."

Artemis lowered her head but tried again, "Percy please listen…"

"Artemis, are you freaking deaf? I JUST SAID TO LEAVE ME ALONE. I DON'T THINK YOU'D WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS JUST LIKE ORION."

Oh so this was what this was about.

"Look Percy, I am not leaving," she replied in a forceful yet calm voice, surprising Percy who turned around, ignoring Artemis and stood up. His shoulders were slumped and he stepped forward slowly, walking away from her. Unfortunately for him, she wasn't going to let him get away.

"I have been worried for you, Percy."

"Gee thanks."

Artemis gritted her teeth in annoyance and continued, "I am really sorry about what I said."

"Guess not everything can be fixed by a sorry, can it Artemis?" Percy chided as he continued to walk away, not sparing a glance at Artemis. Artemis didn't know what to say.

She stepped back, her head hanging low in defeat before she gave it another try, "Percy, I-I know I messed up b-but p-please."

Percy didn't respond and Artemis felt her tears flowing down her cheeks and she flashed away. Son of Poseidon turned around, tears flowing down his cheeks as he stared at the spot Artemis stood at, "Not everything can be fixed with a sorry."

And that is how tides and moon never met again. They reached out for each other but never met together, for they had been broken up.
