The two friends were talking about a festival in a town next to theirs after school that weekend. They were alone in her room with the door open. Even though her father trusted the boy, he had to protect his daughter any way he could because of her regression due to a head injury weeks before.
"Can we go to Tomoeda Park, please?" The girl put her hands together as if in prayer.
"I don't see why not." The boy supposed, sighing.
"Thanks, Nenji-chan!" The purple haired girl beamed, making him blush.
When they got to the park, Nanaka noticed a brown haired girl and followed her, worrying Nenji about her safety.
"Hey, wait up, Nanaka!" Nenji yelled after her while running to catch up.
"Sakura-chan!" Nanaka yelled, waving while Nenji caught up to her.
'Huh? Who's calling my name?' Sakura thought as she noticed a purple haired girl was behind her.
"How do you know my name?" Sakura asked recoiling after seeing the stranger.
"You told me your name, remember?" Nanaka said as a matter of fact.
"Yeah, I believe so." After remembering the memory of how they met for the first time, Sakura blushed but then made the motion for the start of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
A few days ago, Nanaka saw a girl flying on a winged wand and told Nenji about it.
"It was so cool, I want to try flying!" There was an excited glint in her eyes.
"But we don't know where she lives." Nenji stated.
"Her school is next to ours, so why don't we try asking?" Nanaka asked.
"Okay, just don't cause trouble."
When they reached the school, Nenji was worried as they saw the same girl.
"Hello, my name's Nanaka Kirisato. I'm six years old! What's your name?"
"Sakura Kinomoto, I'm ten years old."
"Nanaka, don't be so loud!" Nenji worried as his friend told Sakura her age.
"Okay, Nenji-chan."
"Sorry about that, I'm Nenji. How do you do?" He asked Sakura.
"I'm okay, thanks for asking."
As the two were talking, Nanaka got her wand out and started playing. "Whee!" She exclaimed.
"Looks like she's having a lot of fun."
"Yeah. She's a bit of a handful, but she's all right. I'm glad to be her friend." Nenji supposed.
"Me too." Sakura smiled.
"Hey, Sakura, I'd like to fly on your wand; can I?"
"Huh,when did you see me?" She said, embarrassed. Now she had a reason to worry about her secret getting out.
"Just the other night while I couldn't sleep and I heard noises outside my window."
"Please forget what you just saw!" Sakura bowed her head.
Nanaka wasn't going to let it slide, however. She wanted to fly like Sakura.
"Please, can I fly like you?" Nanaka pleaded.
"Sure, but when we can be alone so no one else knows." Sakura said, defeated by the girl's asking.
"Yay! Did you hear that, Nenji-chan?"
"Yep, sure did."
That weekend, Sakura and Nanaka met at the abandoned park along with Nenji.
"I get to fly!"
"Be careful."
"We will, thanks. Now hold on, Nanaka-chan." Her wand ready from the Fly card and helping Nanaka keep steady at the back.
"Okay, Sakura-chan, now let's get going!" Nanaka impatiently pointed them onward.
'Will she be okay?' Nenji thought.
After a few minutes of flying in a secluded place, Nanaka asked to be put down and Sakura obliged.
"Thanks for letting me fly with you!" She hugged Sakura tightly while rubbing their faces together.
Sakura, embarrassed at the attention, just stated, "No problem. Just don't tell anyone else, please."
"Okay!" Nanaka saluted.
"Alright, you've had your fun, now let's go home." Nenji started to pull Nanaka away from Sakura and she understood that it was time to go.
"Bye-bye, Sakura-chan!"
"Bye-bye, Nanaka-chan."
The End
