Chapter One

Miriam Walked down the road to school. She never liked taking the bus, because the kids that rode it were disgusting. Besides, the place where she lived was very beautiful, and the views on the walk were even prettier. She walked to school everyday. Her mom stopped offering to drive her because Miriam would always say,

"No, I'll walk,"

and she would go out the front door. Miriam was 16, tall, and had short black hair. She had Beautiful Electric blue eyes, and a contagious smile. She had a small friend group, and a crush like any teenage girl. his name was Eoin (Pronounced Owen). He liked her back. he had told her so. He hadn't asked her to be his girlfriend, but she would say yes. Miriam thought about what her future would be like, and she started to daydream, and not pay attention to anything but her thoughts. which resulted in getting herself hit by a bike.

"Oof!" She yelled.

"Oh My GOSH! Are you okay? I am SOOO sorry!" said a familiar voice.

"Uhhh yeah I'm fine," Miriam jumped up and brushed off some dirt. She looked at the person who ran into her. Oh Goodness. It's Maria. The annoying girl who is soooo excited about their names being similar.

"Ohhh! Miriam! sorry I ran into you with my bike! my apologies, But im running late to school!" she said in a loud voice.

"Umm," Miriam looked at her watch. "it's 45 minutes until school starts..."

"It is?" Maria looked at her old flip-phone. "huh. my clock must be slow..."

"...you meant fast?" said Miriam.

"yeah." There was an awkward silence. "Ok, I'll be off." Maria got on her bike and pedaled away. Miriam kept walking. Once she got so school she sat down in the classroom and watched the students trickle in from the door. she waited through an entire day, and then walked back home. she did her homework, took a nap, ate dinner, and slept. the cycle repeated for the next day:

Wake up, breakfast, walking, Getting hit by a bike (Again), school, homework, nap, dinner, and sleep. the days were getting boring. but then the boring days ended. after a two month streak of complete boringness, Eoin came to her after school.

"Hey Miriam," He said as he tapped her shoulder.

"Eoin! Hello!" She said in a cheery voice.

"I wanted to ask you... if you would be my girlfriend?" He said awkwardly.
Miriam was stunned.

"Yes!" she finally blurted out. After a while of chatting, she went back home, happy as could be. but that happiness wouldn't last for very long.
