Okay guys. Before we start, there's gonna be mentions of a suicide attempt in a little bit, so we just wanted to get that out there. There will be a disclaimer when it comes, but we're just warning you in advance. Now, on with the story!
Chapter One: First Impressions
Mabel Pines POV
Location: Piedmont Middle School
Time: 4:30 P.M.
"Last day of school! Last day of school! Last day of school!" I chanted as I burst out of the school's doors, dragging my twin brother Dipper along with me. Boy, today had been crazy!
Sasha and Carrie got in a fight at lunch, which caused and all out food war!
Dipper and I hid in the kitchen with our new friends, Hue and Yule.
Well, they were more of Dipper's friends than mine, but I was perfectly fine with that.
After a minute or an hour, I wasn't sure, a few kids named Gared, Christian, and Ari had the same idea as us.
At least, I thought they did. Turns out they were just looking for more food weapons to ambush Bentley Chris with.
Eventually Principal Ashworth got fed up and came to end the food fight. His poor excuse of a plan was to come and tell everyone to settle down, and if that failed, than to give everyone detention.
It didn't work.
Principal Ashworth ended up becoming part of the food fight. And by that, I mean he ended up taped to the lunch table covered with spaghetti and chocolate pudding.
After the food fight, Sasha and Carrie must've not blown off enough steam, because later that day at recess they got in another fight with Bentley Chris. This time it was a fist fight.
Josh, Tanner, Justin, and Tate tried to break it up, but Josh got punched in the face and Justin got kicked in his stomach. Bentley Chris won the fight, but I made a mental note to avoid Sasha and Carrie.
Nobody signed Dipper's yearbook except for Hue and Yule, so I signed my name all over the page in a pink glittery gel pen.
And now, Dipper and I were finally free from middle school! In three months we'd be high schoolers! I didn't know what we'd do with so much time on our hands!
Going back to Gravity Falls was already out of the question. Neither of us knew why, exactly.
Every time one of us brought it up someone changed the subject or just flat out ignored us.
When Dipper and I reached the sidewalk, I stopped and turned around. Dipper stopped with me, looking slightly confused.
"Good riddance." I said and turned around again. "Okay, let's go." Dipper chuckled quietly.
"I'm never gonna be able to understand you, ya big dumb-dumb." I giggled.
"You're a dumb-dumb."
"No, you're a dumb-dumb."
"What kind of smart person wears a lumberjack hat?"
Dipper pretended to be offended. "This is Wendy's hat!"
"You stole Wendy's hat!?"
"Wha- no! We traded!"
I shook my head and crossed my arms. "Shame on you, brother."
He threw up his hands in frustration. "Let's just go home! "
Meanwhile, all the way on the other side is the country, things weren't going so well.
Ben Hanscom's POV
Location: Derry, Maine
Time: 7:30 P.M. (Time zones are weird)
What just happened? Richie really seems to like picking fights, doesn't he? Only this time the fight wasn't with Bill, it was with Bev! I wasn't sure how the fight started, but I was there when it ended. And let me tell you, it did not end well.
(DISCLAIMER: A possible trigger is here. You have been warned.)
- Flashback
"You always fucking think of yourself! Did you ever think that this might effect other people?! That it might effect me?!" I heard Bev say. I peeked around the side of the trash can, curiosity getting the better of me.
"I'm selfish!? I almost killed myself and you're making this about you! That's pretty fucking selfish if you ask me! Oh, that's right! NO ONE EVER FUCKING DOES! IF MIKE HADN'T COME WHEN HE DID THAN I'D BE DEAD, BEVERLY! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING HEAD! I'D BE A DEAD BODY IN THE QUARRY RIGHT NOW! BUT YOU DON'T GIVE A-"
Richie was interrupted by one sentence that changed everything.
"Why don't you go to the quarry and think about that?"
I gasped quietly, although neither of them heard me, they were both shocked by what Beverly had just said.
She opened her mouth to hopefully apologize, but Richie beat her to it.
"Y'know, maybe I will." He began to walk away, looking extremely hurt but also furious.
"Maybe I will! You'd like that wouldn't you? I knew you were a bitch, but damn!" He turned around to face her, now a good few yards away. "Remember this face Bev! 'Cause you're never seeing it again!"
- End Flashback -
And now, here I was, huddled behind three trashcans, not knowing what to do.
I don't know how long I sat there, it could be been a minute or an hour, but I eventually decided to go talk to Richie. Bev had already left, I don't know where to.
I was just about to stand up, when my feet began to tingle. And it wasn't like when your feet fall asleep, this was... Different.
I glanced down, wondering if there was something in my shoes. What I saw definitely wasn't what I was expecting.
It was a balloon. Thankfully not a red balloon, but that didn't help to ease my concern. It was bright yellow. I immediately felt like it was watching me, as stupid as that sounds.
The tingling sensation was spreading up my legs, and when I looked back at my feet... They aren't there!
I cried out in surprise, and bumped into the trashcans. My feet were gone! And my legs were slowly disappearing too.
I tried to touch my left foot, thinking that maybe they were just invisible. But all I touched was air.
The tingling was now at my knees and I was fully panicking now.
I tried to calm down, hoping that if I did I'd stop disappearing.
It didn't work.
That just seemed to make it happen faster! It was now at my waist and all I could do is watch as my stomach began disappearing too.
I suddenly wondered how I was still alive during this whole ordeal, but I guess logic was out the window.
When it reached my neck was when I really started fearing for my life.
A blinding white light suddenly filled my vision and forced me to close my eyes tightly.
I kept my eyes closed for God knows how long, and I wasn't planning on opening them anytime soon.
I don't know how long I spent trying to muster up enough courage to open my eyes, but when I did, it was daytime! (Time zones are weird.)
I was laying flat on my back in the middle of a forest. I sat up, and was greeted by a pounding headache.
I looked around, trying my best to ignore the headache. I saw were trees all around me, in every direction.
"Hello?" I called out, and awaited an answer.
"Hello? Is anyone out here? Can anyone hear me?"
"Ben? Where are you?" I jumped at the sound of Beverly's voice, and called back.
"I'm over here! Whe-" I was interrupted by another voice.
"Ow! What the fuck is that!? A gnome!? What the actual fuck it this pla- ahhh! Nope! Nope, I'm done! How do I get back home? Hello? Yeah, you! Hey, I'm talking to you! Do you know how rude it is to walk away from someo- OH SHIT! AHHHHHHHH! I WANNA GO HOME! I WANNA GO HOME! AHHHHHHH!"
I couldn't hold on my laughter as I caught a glimpse of Richie running from... Something.
Beverly said that she and Richie made up... For the most part. Richie was still pissed, that that's better that nothing, right?
We spent hours to get the monster to stop chasing Richie, but then it started chasing Bev.
It took forever to rid ourselves of any monsters, but when we did, we were starving and exhausted.
We wondered around the forest for a while after that, looking for signs of civilization.
Eventually we came across a run down looking place called the Mystery Hack, er, Shack. Richie suddenly spoke up.
"Mystery Shack? More like Murder Hut. Right? Isn't that what we're all thinking?"
Beverly rolled her eyes and made her way up the stairs. I suddenly felt a pang of uneasiness as I remembered the balloon that I saw earlier.
"Y'know, maybe he's right, Bev. Maybe we shouldn't be here." I said reluctantly.
I don't think she heard me, because she went right up and knocked on the door.
Little did we know that our lives would change in just a few seconds...

It's done! Yayyyyy! What did you think of the first chapter? Was it good? We hope so! Also, sorry about the cliffhanger, we just couldn't resist!
Alright, so about all the OC'S in the beginning. We thought that it would be fitting for Mabel to know the names of basically everyone at her school. Hue and Yule don't really show up again, but we thought it'd be worth mentioning that Dipper had friends.
Our original deadline was June 20th, but with the coronavirus and the social distance rule, we haven't been able to get much writing in. We've been texting ideas, and e-mailing each other our parts of the story, but it's still difficult. We were gonna have a schedule, but now we'll update as we go.
Have a great day, everyone! And be nice to each other!
Kudos to you straight from our hearts!
