Birthday Bash
It was a peaceful morning in Cappy Town. Tiff woke up and got out of bed. She looked at her calendar and noticed the date. She went to the living room where she saw her family eating breakfast.
"Good morning Tiff," said Sir Ebrum.
"Morning dad," said Tiff. She sat down to eat breakfast. "Do you know what today is?" Tiff asked her family.
"What day is it?" asked Tuff.
"It's Kirby's birthday," said Tiff.
"Kirby's birthday?!" said Tuff.
"Yeah, it's the day when Kirby first went to Cappy Town," said Tiff. She thought for a moment and realized something. "You know, we never celebrated Kirby's birthday before," said Tiff. "We should throw a surprise party for Kirby."
"Good idea Tiff," said Tuff.
Tiff and Tuff finished eating breakfast and headed out. They arrived at the village and they were talking to Iro, Spikehead, and Honey about Kirby's birthday.
"We need to send invitations to everyone in the village," said Tiff, "but we can't let Kirby know about the party."
"Alright!" said the kids.
So Tiff, Tuff, Iro, Spikehead, and Honey set out to deliver invitations. Iro, Spikehead, and Honey went to the mayor's house. They knocked on the door. The mayor opened the door and saw the kids.
"Hello there," said the mayor.
"We're sending invitations for Kirby's birthday party," said Spikehead.
"Kirby's birthday?!" said the mayor.
"Yeah, today's Kirby's birthday and everyone in the village is invited," said Honey.
The mayor grabbed the invitation. "I'll go to Kirby's birthday party," he said. "In fact, I'll help you set it up."
The kids left while the mayor told his family about the party.
Meanwhile Kirby had woken up and he was walking in the village. Kirby decided to have some fun today. He noticed Tiff and Tuff walking by. Kirby ran towards them, hoping that they would play with him. Tiff and Tuff saw Kirby coming and hid the invitations behind their backs.
"Poyo," greeted Kirby.
"Sorry Kirby, we can't play right now," said Tiff.
"Yeah we're a little busy right now," said Tuff.
Tiff and Tuff left while Kirby stood there confused. Kirby decided to stop by Chef Kawasaki's restaurant.
At the restaurant, Chef Kawasaki was preparing a cake for Kirby. He had heard from Tiff that they were celebrating Kirby's birthday and that everyone is invited. Chef Kawasaki saw Kirby entering the restaurant and gasped. He went out of the kitchen.
"Poyo," said Kirby.
"Sorry Kirby, I'm a little busy," said Chef Kawasaki. "Come back again later."
He shoved Kirby out of the restaurant and closed the doors. Kirby walked away.
At the store, Gengu was looking for party decorations.
"Now where did I put those decorations," Gengu asked as he searched the boxes. Gengu found a box that has party decorations in it. "Found it," he said.
Gengu took the box outside. That's when he noticed Kirby coming. Gengu quickly hid the box.
"Hi Kirby," Gengu said nervously. "I'm doing some work here so please leave."
Kirby left wondering why Gengu was acting strange. After Kirby left, Gengu sighed in relief. Then he continued moving the box.
At Samo's bar, Samo is packing drinks for the party. Gus and Mabel were helping Samo pack. Samo put the drinks in a wheelbarrow pulled by Gus.
"Thanks for helping out Gus," said Samo.
"No problem," said Gus, "after all, it is Kirby's birthday."
Mabel arrived carrying a pack of soda. "This is the last one," she said as she set the drinks down.
Mabel, Samo, and Gus saw Kirby coming.
"Kirby's coming!" said Mabel.
"Quick, you distract Kirby while Mabel and I move the drinks," Gus told Samo.
Samo nodded and headed towards Kirby.
"Poyo," said Kirby.
"Sorry Kirby but I'm closed," said Samo. "Come back some other time."
Samo left leaving Kirby behind. Kirby decided to head back to the village.
At the village square, the mayor was helping the Cappies with the decorations. They saw Kirby coming and hid the decorations.
"Hi Kirby," the mayor said as Kirby approached.
"Poyo," said Kirby.
"I'm sorry but I'm busy right now," said the mayor.
Kirby sighed and left. The mayor and the Cappies watched as Kirby leaved. Tiff and Tuff soon arrived.
"How's it going," asked Tiff.
"We've finished the banner," said the mayor. The mayor stepped aside showing a blue banner that says 'Happy Birthday Kirby'.
"Great then let's set up the banner," said Tuff.
Tiff and Tuff helped the mayor set up the banner.
At Castle Dedede, King Dedede and Escargoon were spying on the village from the balcony. They noticed the town putting up decorations.
"What's going on Escargoon?" asked Dedede.
"It seems that the Cappies are celebrating Kirby's birthday," said Escargoon.
"Today is Kirby's birthday?" asked Dedede.
"Yeah, it says so on the banner," said Escargoon as he showed Dedede the banner.
Dedede got an idea. "I'll get rid of Kirby on his birthday," he said.
"You wanted to get rid of Kirby on his birthday?!" said Escargoon.
Dedede smirked. "Sure, after all it's a special occasion for Kirby," he said.
Dedede and Escargoon went to the throne room. Dedede sat on his throne and contacted Nightmare Enterprises.
"Welcome back King Dedede," said the salesman. "How can I help you?"
"I want a monster that will get rid of Kirby on his birthday," said Dedede.
"So today is Kirby's birthday," said the salesman. "We have a monster for the job."
Dedede smiled evilly. "Good, send it right over," he said.
A little later, the Cappies had finished setting up the party. All of the villagers are at the square ready for the party.
"Everything's set up," said Tuff.
Tiff turned to Tokkori. "Tokkori, go get Kirby," she said.
"Will do," said Tokkori. He flew to find Kirby.
At Kirby's house, Kirby was on the bed, wondering why everybody was busy. Kirby was upset that he didn't have much fun today. Tokkori arrived.
"Kirby, come to the village," he said.
Kirby followed Tokkori, wondering why he is needed at the village. When Kirby arrived at the village, confetti rained from the sky.
"Happy Birthday Kirby," said the Cappies.
Kirby looked up at the banner and saw the words 'Happy Birthday Kirby'. Kirby was happy.
"Poyo," said Kirby.
Tiff went up to Kirby and hugged him.
"We wanted to throw you a surprise party since we never celebrated your birthday," said Tiff.
Suddenly Dedede and Escargoon arrived in their limo.
"What do you want, Dedede?" Tiff asked angrily.
"I've heard that today is Kirby's birthday; so I decided to give him a special gift," said Dedede.
Waddle Dees carried a large pink box with a big red bow on top of it. The Waddle Dees set the box down. Kirby approached the box. Suddenly the box sprouted electricity knocking away Kirby. The box came to life. It gained eyes similar to Kirby's and rosy cheeks. It sprouted a stem like tail with two green leaves at the end of it. It opened its mouth which is large and jagged. Everyone gasped.
"What is that?" asked Tuff.
"This here is my new monster, Boxy," said Dedede. "She'll make Kirby's birthday special."
Boxy began jumping around, trying to squish Kirby. Kirby managed to avoid the attack. Boxy began spitting out small gift boxes. The gift boxes exploded when they hit Kirby.
"That monster is going to ruin the party," said Tuff.
"Kirby, suck it up," said Tiff.
Kirby tried to inhale the boxes but the boxes were too quick. Kirby got hit by the explosion from the box thus sending him flying. Kirby landed on the ground.
"It's not working," said Tiff as she saw that Kirby wasn't able to inhale Boxy's attacks.
Boxy was in front of the Cappies. Kirby decided to try his inhale again. Kirby began inhaling. Boxy jumped out of the way. As Kirby continued inhaling, Buttercup let go of her umbrella due to the suction from Kirby's inhale. Kirby inhaled Buttercup's umbrella and transformed into Parasol Kirby.
"It's Parasol Kirby," said Tuff.
Parasol Kirby used Parasol Swing on Boxy. Boxy got hit by the attack. Parasol Kirby then used Parasol Shield. Water was shot from the tip of the parasol and it hit the monster. Boxy was enraged. She charged towards Kirby but Kirby went out of the way. Kirby used Circus Throw on Boxy. He then finished off Boxy with Parasol Drill. Boxy exploded. Everyone cheered as Kirby discarded his ability.
Dedede wept. "There goes Boxy," he cried.
Chef Kawasaki showed up with Kirby's birthday cake.
"The cake's ready," said Chef Kawasaki.
Kirby jumped towards the cake. The villagers laughed as Kirby ate his cake.
