Ben wakes up in a snowy area.
"Wh- Where the hell am I?!" Ben yells out.
"You're in Horrortale" A voice says from behind him. "I'm Delta. What's your name, human?"
The voice turns out to be coming from a skeleton that has an obsession with orange. Well that's what Ben is thinking anyway. But then he realizes he has an obsession with green.
"Ben. Ben Tennyson." Ben gets up and shakes the skeleton's hand. "I uh..don't know how I got here, do you know if there's a way out?"
Delta shakes his head. "I don't know where I'm going now but before I got here I was going to an AU called Underswap. I guess I can go there instead and you can come along."
Before you say anything, Ben is not surprised because he's just assuming Delta is an alien species he doesn't know about, and he's used to multiversal crap by now.
Ben does not question what an AU is. Delta motions for Ben to grab his hand and he teleports them to Underswap.
Meanwhile inside Delta's head...
"How can you just trust this human so easily? He's way too calm for supposedly just waking up here, too. Something's off." Bravery says to Delta.
"Well, he looks to be around 20, I'm sure it's just because he's an adult. That's how humans work, right" Delta asks.
"No! Even an adult would be scared!" Bravery responds annoyed.
"Whatever. If he does anything I'm sure some AU traveling dude will kill him if he kills me." Delta shrugs.
"Just to be safe you should leave him. I'm sure he'll be fine since this is a pacifist timeline where this timeline's Papyrus convinced this timeline's Chara not to reset." Bravery tells Delta.
"How do you- Ok, fine. Hey, Ben, I uh, gotta go. You'll be fine, right?" Delta asks Ben.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Ben responds.
"Alright, cool. Bye." Delta teleports to who knows where.
Ben wonders why he left and why he looked so reluctant too.
Either way he sticks his hands into his pockets and walks up to a large gathering of humans and "aliens"
"Gee what happened here?" Ben thinks to himself. He then wonders if it's just a gathering or an announcement. Either way, he's curious.
"Qu-queen TORIEL?!" someone who seems to be a member of Delta's species speaks up. "Are you okay?! What happened?!"
Ben thinks to himself "So something happened to the Goat lady who I'm assuming is the queen this guy's talking about."
Yes, thank you captain obvious.
Toriel starts to speak. "Sans. Human. I'm glad to know that nothing happened to you. A monster...attacked everyone in the center town..he's out of control..I just wanted to help him..."
Ben thinks some more "Gee, must be a real low life if he gets to be called a monster by the queen. Still though, it's obvious I'm in some alternate universe or planet or something, I wonder how I'll get back."
A "Pisciss Volann" (Ripjaws' species) starts to speak. "Alphys did everything she could to stop him, but it was useless..."
Ben thinks some more "If there are Ripjaws-es here, then I must be in an alternate universe from my own...nah, my universe can't be the only one with fish people...right?"
The lizard lady who Ben correctly assumed was Alphys spoke. "Papyrus prevented me from fighting."
"So first some guy attacks innocent people, then someone else, who I can only assume is a traitor or something, helps the guy by preventing this Alphys person from fighting. Yeesh. Guess Delta brought me here at a good time...for hero stuff." Ben realizes how that last sentence sounded.
The skeleton speaks up again. "Wh-what? My brother?"
A human child in the crowd puts on a determined and runs to what Ben assumes is the location of the "monster".
Another Goat alien, who looks like the queen's husband (well, ex, but Ben doesn't know that) calls out to the child. "My child, wait!"
Ben mutters under his breath "Gee do they not know this kid's name? Either way.." Ben goes into the shadows and transforms into Yoshitsune. "Better turn into an alien. One that blends in, too." Ben/Yoshitsune wonders if other transformations would blend in with the mix of humans and "aliens". He shrugs the question off and follows the child, although stealthy since Yoshitsune has a visible sword and anyone would find that suspicious.
The skeleton from before says "I'll go after them" and goes after the child.
"Them? Huh. Don't see non-binary kids often." Ben/Yoshitsune thinks to himself.
Another skeleton that's wearing a blue jacket says to one that's wearing a black jacket says "Quick, I know the trick to beat Cross." and both skeletons teleport.
Ben catches up to the child and drops down. The child is startled especially once they notice Yoshitsune's sword.
"Hey, kid, it isn't safe to just run off like that. Go back to your goat-family, I'll handle whatever's going on." Ben/Yoshitsune tells the child.
The child calms down once they realize this "human" was only worried. But before they can ask who the stranger is, the child looks in horror at something. Ben/Yoshitsune turns around and sees it. Everything isbeing destroyed and there is a skeleton who looks slightly different from the others he's seen attempting to protect the bystanders. He says "Quick, get out of here!"
A skeleton covered in..ink? notices Yoshitsune and mutters to himself "Who is that guy? Whatever. Just normal looking human with a sword."
Ben/Yoshitsune looks closely and sees who he rightly assumes is the guy the queen was talking about. He is a skeleton that looks like the others he's seen so far. He..responds? To the other skeleton by saying "Oh, no. You won't get away that easily. This world needs panic and hatred from all of you." He summons a giant skull that blasts at some buildings, causing debris to fall.
Ben/Yoshitsune says out loud "CRAP!" but before he can become another alien (remember Ben in 5YL has master control), the two skeletons that teleported earlier summoned their own skulls and blasted away the debris.
The different looking one asks "Who the hell are you?"
The one in the blue jacket responds "Long story, bro, I mean, buddy. Just stay close."
Ben/Yoshitsune jumps in. "Alright, I don't know who you guys are, but I'm ready to kick some ass!"
The one in the blue jacket speaks "Uh, it's not safe, get out of here."
Ben/Yoshitsune says "No."
Not wanting to bother with whoever this guy is right now he just says "Fine." and turns to the skeleton causing the destruction.
The one causing the destruction says "You...AGAIN? And who is this guy?"
Ben/Yoshitsune responds by taking out his sword. "I'm the guy who's gonna serve some 5 star noodles with that skull!"
The other skeletons look at him and in unison say "Wow, he means business."
The first skeleton Ben saw after being teleported catches up with everyone and calls out to Cross, saying "W-Wait! Why are you doing this..?" and Ben/Yoshitsune just realized that Cross is the evil skeleton's name.
He's accompanied by the child and another skeleton.
"Halloween is over, what's with all the skeletons?!" Ben/Yoshitsune thinks to himself.
The skeleton then continues. "Did someone to something to hurt you?"
Cross then starts seeing images of himself and his own frisk. Though again, Ben doesn't know that.
The skeleton with paint on his face says "I know, Cross..This AU...this pacifist timeline..It probably reminds you of a lot of things, doesn't it?"
Ben/Yoshitsune asks the skeleton in a black jacket what is he talking about. The skeleton responds by saying "Listen, buddy, I don't know why you're still here but I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you, so I'm not sayin' anything."
"O...k."
The ink skeleton continues. "I know I'll fail if I tell you to stop, but...Do you think that it's fair to do...the same thing that HE did to your world? You're messing up the timelines, modifying their course by force, just on a silly whim! ...I can't let that happen again..."
Cross smirks and responds. "..Who told you that...You don't know anything about me, Ink." Ben finally learns another name. "My prize is taking parts from these places to my world...the perfect home that you refused to give me back..You also won't scare me if you talk about Gaster. I don't care if he still exists..He won't be in my new world. Chara tried to be smarter than me, but I'll be the one who'll have control over this body forever. He's currently not here, but that doesn't mean I'm weaker and I'll give up."
Ink says "It's not about that, C. The X-event can't last forever...It's just a game...It's not worth to alter the course of other stories...There's no hope for your old world...I'm sorry.."
Ben is so confused right now but all he knows is that he could strike once Cross tries something.
The blue one...that isn't wearing a jacket starts talking. "Does that mean..you don't have a home? I have an idea! Now that we're on the surface, that won't matter! It's never too late to have a new home and new friends!"
Ben looks at the skeleton with a sad expression "Some people just don't deserve to be in this world...uh..wait that doesn't sound right." Thankfully that was in his head.
Ink looks at Ben confused, as he's never seen a human like him in Underswap, but he just ignores it and looks back at Cross.
Cross smirks again and says "I hate you all..."
Cross jumps towards the blue skeleton that doesn't have a jacket and before Ben does anything, the black, and orange jacket skeletons attack him with bones and he falls to the ground.
Ben/Yoshitsune, upset that he didn't get to do anything says "Aw, man!"
Ink asks "Who...are you?"
Ben/Yoshitsune says "Uh...I'm Yoshitsune. Just a normal guy with a sword. I uh..recently moved here, If you've never seen me before."
Ink has his suspicions but ultimately thinks Ben isn't lying.
Either way everyone gathers around Cross' unconscious body, and Black Jacket says "That was too easy!"
Blue Jacket says "I told you attacking him distracted would work."
Ink says "It was a great idea, Sans." Ben finally gets another name.
Sans says "Nah, it wasn't mine, someone else told me about it.."
Blue Scarf says "Poor little buddy..we should take him home so he can recover.."
The child says "That's not a good idea."
Orange Jacket says "Here we go again with the alternate versions..." He grabs Ink. "What did you do now, bonehead?"
Ink says "Nothing pal, Nothing. We're sorry for this. We'll leave now, okay?"
Orange Jacket asks Ben "And who do you think you are? If Cross did anything else you would have died!"
Ben/Yoshitsune just smirks, annoying Orange Jacket.
Ink says "Sans." and Blue Scarf, Sans and Black Jacket all look at Ink. Ben freaks out internally when he realizes all of their names are Sans. Ink points to Blue Jacket and says "Ah...this Sans! Take the other half of your soul. It's time to go home."
Ben is waiting to ask them if they can bring him home since these skeletons seem to be capable of multiversal travel. He's waiting until they say goodbye.
Blue Jacket says "Oh, sure."
Blue jacket reaches towards Cross' chest, where an outline of a half heart and an upside down half heart are showing. He takes the upside down half heart, leaving an outline in it's place. Another half heart comes out of Blue Jacket's chest and fuses with the half heart he took.
Cross then turns into a human child, startling Ben a little bit.
Black Jacket and Blue Jacket start to walk away, then Blue Scarf calls out to them. "Hey! Aren't we going to help him?"
Ben is about to open his mouth to asks Ink if he is capable of bringing him home, but before he can do that, Cross...? grabs the child's hand.
Everyone including Ben looks in shock or anger.
Cross makes an..interesting face and says to the child "Oh boy. You've made a HUGE mistake."
Cross then starts taking parts of the child's soul, making the parts his own soul. He throws the child to Blue Scarf and he erupts into a purple-white light.
Cross again looks different. He says "Greetings...Thank you for waking me up. I missed having a physical body..even if it's just 95% of it. Cross was being so silly. He was so easy to manipulate, right? He thought nothing like this would happen again..haha..But..here I am.
Ink looks in shock "Ch-chara..."
"So are they separate- Oh why do I bother" Ben/Yoshitsune says to himself.
Chara says "Wait..what's up with that look? Aw...you really didn't want to see me again..Even though you always wanted to see the X-Event at it's fullest..isn't that right...OLD FRIEND?"
Blue Jacket asks Ink "What's going on here?!"
Chara then makes a face that pushes everyone back, and Black and Blue Jacket disappear. (Ben was kept because Chara currently thinks he's actually a part of Underswap)
Orange Jacket looks around asking "What..happened? Where...are they?"
Ink grabs his brush "Chara, your intentions are different from Cross'. Drop that soul or I'll be pbligated to hurt y-"
The Ink COVERED skeleton grabs Ink. "Not so fast, little brush..This guy...is full of surprises." The Ink covered one starts damaging Ink.
Chara speaks again "We were so grateful when you showed Gaster and me the Multiverse and it's timelines."
Ben gets more serious realizing this is a multiversal threat.
Chara continues "I always wanted to find a universe with similarities to mine, like this one. You've done a very good job protecting all these world, Ink. Whatever. It's time to pay Nightmare back for his help. I'll...ask you what you saved for me later."
Ink screams "NO!"
Nightmare responds by saying "Ah...look how much despair is inside of you..But this is your fault and you know it.."
Chara summons a knife and stabs the ground. It makes the ground purple minus the area our heroes are standing on. All the humans and "aliens" in the city turn into floating hearts and disappear.
Chara says "This pacifist timeline won't be wasted as long as it has some suffering just like old times...Even if there's only FOUR OF YOU. Better stories always have blood and tears...Am I right, Ink? The pacifist timeline of this AU deserves to be as good as mine was. Don't worry! If I kill you by accident...I can fix it as if nothing had happened with something better than our old power...He wanted the best..ha. Look where we are now because of him. You're going to regret everything that you two did to us..And I will start with all these timelines you two admired so much...
Chara summons a rectangle that says overwrite and touches it. Everything goes black. Then cut to a scene where Orange Jacket stabs the child as Blue Scarf and Ben look in horror.
"You weren't fast enough, other me." Chara says.
The child says "Papyrus.."
Ben doesn't like how he learnt Orange Jacket's name this way.
Everything returns to "normal" but Blue Scarf appears behind the 3 and Papyrus kills him, only for him to be brought back.
Before he is brought back he asks "Why are they tortuing us...? What did we do to them?"
Nightmare and Chara have an argument that Ben isn't listening to. Something about not actually killing people or something.
Ben still isn't listening to what's going on, he's thinking about what to do. He's facing someone with time altering powers like Alien X's.
He is cut out of his thoughts when Papyrus starts glitching into a melty mess. Ben/Yoshitsune jumps in front on the child as Papyrus looks like he is going to attack.
Blue Scarf teleports the 2 out of the way of Papyrus' attack.
Blue Scarf yells "Please stop! Leave them alone!" But then he also turns into a melting mess.
The child cries "Please..stop.." and Ben has had enough.
Nightmare is laughing. "HAHAHAH! THIS IS SO FUNNY! I LIKE THIS NEW UNDERSWAP!"
Chara asks Ink what does he think about the new story, and continues talking "If I only have the other half I could "upgrade" every universe entirely. Wouldn't that be EXCITING?!" He stabs Ink in the arm. "So they are filled. Huh. You are taking this very seriously, aren't you?" He takes a vial from Ink. "Even so you couldn't keep the promise you made to him." Ink kicks the vial out of his hand. Chara continues. "So, you're not going to cooperate..Ok then."
The monster skeletons appear surrounding Ink with bones. He gets his brush and deflects the ones that would kill him, and teleports out of the range of the blasters.
He continues dodging the onslaught of bones and blaster until he grabs the vial.
Monster Papyrus uses the vial to push Ink into some bones.
Chara is about to kill Ink but Blue Scarf hits him with a bone and he and Papyrus are no longer controlled. The child hugs Papyrus.
Chara asks "How did you..?"
Blue Scarf answers with another question. "Are you proud of what you're doing here? I know there are alternate timelines where all my friends and I are suffering..And now you've ruined the only place where all of us were happy..Let me guess, you're frustrated, aren't you? Hurting others won't heal whatever has happened to you..I want to help you..But I can't believe in you."
Suddenly, Ben/Yoshitsune jumps in front of Blue Scarf.
Blue Scarf asks what Ben is doing "You're just a human, get out of here!"
Ben/Yoshitsune winks at Blue Scarf. "Trust me on this one, okay?"
Blue Scarf lets Ben go after Chara.
"This is a fight far beyond your comprehension. Stay out of it." Chara says to Ben as their weapons clash.
"Well if this is a fight beyond MY comprehension why don't I show you something out of YOUR comprehension?"
Chara scoffs at Ben's remark before being blinded by an emerald light. He slashes air.
Blue Scarf thinks Chara has killed him, but...
"This is going to be so much...FUN!" A raspy voice calls out behind Chara.
Ghostfreak reveals himself.
Chara is shocked. "What did you- How?"
Blue Scarf, Ink, Papyrus and the Child are all extremely surprised too.
Nightmare is just annoyed.
Ben/Ghostfreak opens a part of his skin revealing several tentacles, one of them having the Omnitrix symbol on it. He blasts the shocked Chara with an energy beam.
Another flash of light replaces Ghostfreak with Rath.
"LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING, CHARA THE MULTIVERSAL THREAT THAT WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT SOME "X EVENT" OR WHATEVER! RATH, AND ANY OF MY OTHER FORMS, ARE GONNA KICK YOUR SORRY ASS! THIS TIGER'S GONNA MAKE A SKIN PELT OUT OF THE HUMAN! WHAT A TURN OF EVENTS!"
Chara regains his focus and asks "What...are you?"
Rath kicks Chara in the face "BEN. TENNYSON."
Rath turns into Overkill.
Ben/Overkill tells Blue Scarf to get over here.
Blue Scarf "How are you transforming into these creatures?"
Ben/Overkill responds "I'll explain later, buddy. Just.."
He stretches himself on Blue Scarf's body. Blue scarf becomes bigger and stronger...though he looks more like Overkill if anything.
Blue Venom asks "What did you do to me?"
Ben/Overkill responds by saying "I made you stronger. Now go, go, go!"
Chara slashes at Venom but he grabs his knife and punches him in the gut, sending him flying.
Nightmare asks Chara "WHAT IS THIS?!"
Chara responds frantically "I don't know! Hitting the Overwrite button clearly won't work if swap sans got out of it before! ...Royal guards...they're all the same.."
Venom summons bones covered in black "ink" with the iconic hourglass embedded into them.
Chara dodges all of them.
Chara attempts to slash at Venom again but gets the same result.
Overkill de attaches himself from Blue Scarf.
"Alright" Overkill starts to say before transforming into Jetray. "You get him from down here, I'll keep on watch above."
Blue Scarf nods and Ben/Jetray flies up high.
Chara doesn't notice where Ben has gone and simply summons some knives to attack Blue Scarf with. He dodges the first batch but gets cut with the second batch.
Jetray blasts Chara across the...room? After seeing that.
"So THAT'S where you ran of to...'Ben'." Chara says to Jetray.
"What? Noooo! I'm just a bystander that's had enough! There's no way I'm the same person!" Ben/Jetray mocks Chara.
"YOU DARE MOCK ME?!" Chara attempts to Overwrite but the Omnitrix prevents that from working. "What?"
Blue Scarf uses the opportunity to grab one of the knives and slash at Chara. However, this hurts the child instead of Chara.
Papyrus begs "GUYS! STOP! YOU'RE HURTING-"
Nightmare points one of his tentacles to Papyrus' neck as a way of telling him to shut up.
Ben turns into Eye Guy and stands next to Blue Scarf.
"You are not the first of your kind." Blue Scarf tells Chara. "You abuse the other alternate universes because you can't be happy in yours, right?"
"EYE say we just beat him up and stop trying to talk him out of it!" Ben/Eye Guy says.
"You're only a piece of code with a scripted story" Chara tells Blue Scarf. "I'm not sure about HIM anymore though." referring to Ben. "Either way, I don't care what you s-"
Chara is blasted by Eye Guy's center eye.
"EYE'm the one that says EYE around here, not you, discount Killua!"
Chara overwrites and Ben and Blue Scarf get slashed with several knives. Blue Scarf seems to be dying hut Ben has seen worse.
"Ow! My EYE!"
Ben and Blue Scarf's injuries go away and Chara begins speaking to Blue scarf.
I'm gonna spare myself typing all this so hopefully you know what he says here.
Nightmare tells Chara that he's getting bored. "Look, kid, I don't have all day. I'm not here to see you playing. I need negative feelings, not a stupid conversation. If you want to hurt someone with your strength...you must hurt something important to him. I know you have a lot of potential, So I could let you kill someone this time. After all, I don't need this timeline anymore."
Ben turns into UltraViolent, after ramming into Chara as Slampeed of course.
Chara gets stabbed by Ben's arms over and over and over before he transforms into Swampfire.
"SWAMPFIRE!" He yells for nostalgia purposes.
He wraps Chara in vines letting Blue Scarf slash him over and over and over and over-
Ben then becomes Goemon, literally stabbing Chara in the chest.
Ben, keeping his sword in his chest, drags it towards his neck. He also cuts Chara's arms and legs with the other 3 swords.
He smiles maliciously "I bet this hurts like hell, doesn't it? Not too great to be on the receiving end, is it?"
Instead of finishing Chara off he jumps to the side and lets Blue Scarf blast him.
Chara gets up and yells "KILL ME, SANS!"
By the way Ben doesn't know how souls work so he doesn't know he's hurting the kid.
Blue Scarf blasts Chara but Papyrus counters it with his own.
Ben asks Papyrus "WHAT THE HELL?!"
Papyrus explains that they've been hurting the child too.
Ben says "oh..."
The whole sad thing happens.
Suddenly, Blue and Black Jacket along with a new skeleton appear. Blue Jacket gets in the way of Chara's attack, but...
Blue Jacket uses gravity magic or whatever and slams Chara on the ground as a ketchup bottle rolls out of his jacket.
He says "Awww...It was a limited edition."
