Prologue

When the world decides to crumble down,

A cunning disease shall be found,

And the Claws of Magic will come to light.

For the eggs to hatch on thrice moon,

All the eggs must be found soon,

And the Claws of Magic will come to light.

A blood red egg to be found in mud,

A Sandwing egg covered in blood.

A fiery hot egg awaits in a cave,

While a deep cyan egg gets washed up by a wave.

The Rainwing egg holds a hidden danger,

And a light blue egg hides in a frozen chamber.

A new Darkstalker can give a fright,

Unless the Claw is shown the light.

This is all the first land will give,

But three more eggs have to live.

The second land quite far away;

A Hivewing egg is lost astray.

The Silkwing surrounded by flowers a bloom,

The leafy egg is covered with gloom.

All these eggs are gifted with magic,

But the price to pay is really quite tragic.

For these dragons to stay sane-

Their souls break open with every gain-

Until the time is right they must refrain,

Otherwise they will go insane.

This new disease is quite scary;

The Claws will have to be wary.

When the Claws and disease go to war,

They may perhaps find the cure…

Foresight frowned. This was truly the prophecy soon to come, and in six years, Foresight would go to check on the Claws to see what they can do. She rolled up the scroll with the prophecy. She would make another copy to give to the Talons of Peace, and keep the original one to herself. Foresight knew that the Talons of Peace would want to let the entire world know. Unfortunately, for the rest of the world, they didn't know that the Lost Continent was real. After she would give the copy to the Talons, she would return home, make another copy, and travel to the Lost Continent and give them another copy. After all, Radiation Expedited Disease, or short for RED will infect both the continents.

Foresight put the scroll in her bedside table's drawer and went outside to hunt. She had as much time as a year before the creator would release this deadly Bio-Weapon by accident, so she would make the copy tomorrow.

One year later…

I have to kill the tests. I have destroy the records. I have to destroy everything, before this becomes… worse. Before I can't kill them.

Cancer sat by his desk, his research displayed in front of him in messy piles. His hands were on his head, and a headache was forming quickly from having to make a large decision. He didn't think anyone else knew about what he was doing in his lab. After accidentally discovering RED, he got prisoners from the queen to test on, and he had been getting terrifying results.

Leo suddenly burst into the room, gasping with blood pouring from a slice in her neck. She turned around in a hurry and instantly locked the high security iron doors.

"What in the world?" Cancer started but Leo instantly shushed him, flicking her claws to her mouth. There was complete silence. Out of nowhere, there was sudden gurgled roar that came from the outside that was followed by claws ripping into the door.

Cancer flinched visibly. His first test subject, Lostmind, had finally reached Level 8 of RED. This was not amazing.

"Where's the exit?" Leo's eyes were round with fright, knowing that this might be the last time she will spend with her husband and become an Evolved.

"Over here." Cancer rushed over to his desk and pressed a hidden button, which made a clicking noise. Something shifted underneath them, and a trapdoor opened at the back of the office. Leo climbed down the ladders from the trapdoor as fast as she could, with Cancer following close behind.

Radiation Expedited Disease was finally unleashed, and it was Cancer's fault that the world could possibly end.

Snapper was rapidly searching the islands of the Seawings. The cyan egg had to be found, otherwise the world will end.

Of course, he had been chosen to be one of the ten guardians. He hated dragonets. Something blue and round caught his eyes. He swooped down to investigate what it was.

Finally! The prophecy was true… it did get washed up by a wave.

The day before, there had been a massive storm, which had caused gigantic waves to form and crash about around the ocean.

It was just the luck he needed.

He picked up his fragile cargo, and lifted up back into the air, flying back towards The Claws of the Cloud Mountains.

Aloe knew that her egg was going to be destined for greatness. It was strange for a Mudwing to have only one egg, but it is what it is. She wrapped her tail around the blood coloured egg and smiled.

Another Talon called her, so she stood up and walked over to the dragon. The blood red egg was left to guard to one of the guards in the cavern; it was the only that was already waiting in the hatching cave of the Claws of Magic.

Hawk was extremely cautious as he flew into the Scorpion den. There had recently been an attack from the Evolved here, so the old black market was abandoned. His footsteps made dangerous echoes in the silence as he searched the houses for any left behind Sandwing eggs that were covered in blood, that looked like they were about to hatch.

He found the blood covered egg in the fourth house he searched, surprisingly. There was a corpse lying in the house, close to the egg. Hawk wondered if the dead dragon was a relative of the little dragonet inside the egg as he flapped safely away from his old home. He would never know.

Copper searched through the caves in Jade Mountain. She had already checked all the caves in the Claws of the Cloud Mountains, and the egg was nowhere to be seen. She double-checked the caves. She walked from one cavern to the next, getting the same result each time.

Empty.

She checked the last cave of the complex. She bumped into something, which was unmistakeably an egg as she walked along the walls.

"Gotcha, little bugger." Copper whispered in to the darkness. She picked the egg up, tucked it under her wing, then walked back to the entrance the way she came.

Blackberry whistled as he went through the mangoes to pick the best one. He had just spent two hours searching for the Rainwing egg, and was starting to get hungry.

The mangoes in front of him were the pink variants and were shaped like Rainwing eggs, strangely enough. As he moved a mango aside, he found a lime green egg fading into a pale pink.

Aha! Found you, future dragonet. Aw, you have such a beautiful egg.

Blackberry took the egg, along with the best mango, and started walking over to a flying platform. He would eat his mango on the way to the Claws of the Cloud Mountains.

Moonstone growled in annoyance. Why did all of these eggs have to be in caves? The only cave system that she knew about that was in Icewing territory was the Diamond Trial Caves.

She had to check every corner, every dead end, and still make it out of there alive. Before this, she had been a Second Circle and she had been quite pleased with herself. When she accidentally ran into the Talons of Peace, they begged her to search for the Icewing egg from the new well-known prophecy.

Therefore, she paired up with a thief who managed to steal the royal treasure. Moonstone didn't tell him she was going to get him in trouble. She was with the thief. He didn't know his way around the palace, so she took him in the wrong direction to exactly where a whole group of guards were waiting.

Now she and the thief were stuck in the Diamond Trail.

As she neared a dead end, she found a whitish-blue egg that lay in a hay nest. Peculiar to think an Icewing mother would come here and have her egg here, of all places. She picked up the egg and made sure it was well hidden under her wing.

She finally reached the bottom of the maze, where she saw the tall, frozen statues glaring viciously at the dragons below. The thief was already waiting for her at the bottom.

He growled. "Look, thief, I know you won't forgive me for doing this, but please don't kill me. The reason I paired up with you in the first place was so we could get something even more special than the Queen's treasure."

"What is it then?" His voice was rough and deep.

She lifted the egg from underneath her wing and showed it to him.

"Oh. The prophecy egg. Very smart." He nodded.

Moonstone then proceeded to explain her plan to the thief, which included him getting his normal life back. After Moonstone explained it all, the thief went back through the maze, and Moonstone lay waiting with the statues. She would leave in an hour, when all the Icewings thought she was dead…

He wasn't sure if this new 'Darkstalker' was half Icewing half Nightwing as the legends suggested.

Silencecaller had the hardest job out of all the eggs; the prophecy did not say where to find the egg, let alone what is looks like. Thankfully, he knew Foresight very well and decided since he was in the Nightwing village, he would give her a visit and ask her about the prophecy.

Silencecaller rapped his knuckles on the wooden door as he waited outside her house. It was night time so he knew she must be awake in there somewhere. He heard footsteps that headed to the front of the house and the door was open, revealing Foresight's slender snout.

"Hello, Silencecaller. What can I do for you?" She stood aside so Silencecaller could walk inside of her home. They headed to the living room and they both plopped themselves onto the woollen couch.

"Greetings, Foresight. I was wondering if I can ask you something about your prophecy; I have been chosen to be the guardian of the Nightwing egg." Silencecaller explained.

"Ah, congratulations. It isn't surprising to see that they picked you." She gave him a half smile. "Well, I suppose it is about the Nightwing egg, I presume?"

He nodded.

"Well, as the prophecy says, he might be the new Darkstalker and I have seen futures where he turns out a lot like our legend of the past." She paused, and then continued. "Well, if I look at the future, I see a Midnight Blue egg sitting with the rest of the Claws of Magic. And before that happens… Oh my…"

"What is it, Foresight?" Silencecaller was curious.

"It's our sister's egg, funny enough. She lives by Acacia Road. Explain to her about your visit, and tell her what the egg's destiny is. She'll understand."

"Alright. Thank you for telling me, Foresight. It was a pleasure to see you again." Silencecaller thanked her.

Foresight nodded and opened the front door again. Silencecaller continued his way down the street, his goal being to visit his older sister with her prophecy egg.

Hornet couldn't believe that her younger, unhatched brother was destined for greatness instead of herself. It was outrageous! Queen Ant already called the young prince Honeybee, even though he hadn't hatched yet.

No matter how much Hornet hated that she wasn't the chosen prophecy egg, she was chosen to be Honeybee's guardian. She had already explained to her mother about the Talons of Peace, and surprisingly had given her permission to take the egg and head to the Forgotten Kingdoms.

A black dragon named Foresight had come to visit them and she was still here, waiting for the three prophecy eggs and their guardians. Hornet suddenly felt an excited shiver travel along her spine.

I'll be one of the first dragons to visit the Forgotten Kingdoms! This is so exciting! I'll also get to meet four other dragons as well, along with all the tribes from the Forgotten Kingdom. Holy Carp, this is so cool.

Once all the arrangements had been made, Hornet had arrived at the beach with Honeybee. Foresight was waiting for them.

"Hello Hornet and Honeybee." Foresight smiled as she saw the royal princess and prince land on the beach. "Amazing to meet you both."

Hornet flashed her a smile. This dragon had legendary future sight powers, and that was so cool.

"Let's wait until the others arrive here. It won't take them long." Foresight explained.

Hornet nodded, making sure the egg of Honeybee was safely in her talons.

Silverdrop landed on the beach, where Princess Hornet, Prince Honeybee and Foresight were waiting for him. He clutched a white egg with blue and yellow rings surrounding it. The egg had mysteriously appeared in his sunflower garden, and Silverdrop decided he would be the new, adopted father of the unhatched dragonet.

When he had heard about the prophecy and about Foresight's arrival, Silverdrop realised he was the chosen guardian of the chosen prophecy egg. He had snuck out of his home, and arrived at the beach quite soon after a part of the royal family had come.

"Silverdrop! How nice to meet you, friend." Foresight said.

"Hello, beautiful." Silverdrop knew that flirting with this dragon was going to do nothing about the problem of RED, but he enjoyed doing it so much.

"Not now, Silverdrop. Maybe later." Foresight gave him a half smile.

Silverdrop settled down next to Princess Hornet, who had said nothing so far. Ah well, if she wasn't interested in his amazing looks, then her loss.

Queen Clove took one last look at her home. She would never see it again, and she was missing it already, even though she hadn't left it yet. She carefully picked up her delicate luggage (a pale green egg) and flew off. Her first born daughter was taking over reign, and had become the new queen.

Clove guessed her new title would be Retired Queen Clove now. She chuckled. It was strange not being in a meeting, or spending time with the previous princess, and all that, but it was also a relief not to have all these massive decisions sitting heavily on her shoulders anymore.

She was actually glad that she wasn't the queen anymore. She shook her head out of the past. One day, she will tell her son that he is a prince, but for now, she will go meet Foresight. She took off from her palace, and flapped her way over to where the rest of the dragons were waiting for her.

The Brightest Night had been the previous night. She knew know that all the eggs had finally hatched, and the guardians were discovering what it was like to be parents for the first time. She knew that two of the guardians were actually the mothers of two of the eggs.

She went back to her desk and rolled open the scroll with the original copy of the Prophecy.

"And the Claws of Magic will come to light." Foresight whispered. It had finally come true, whether dragons liked it, or not.

OK, holy cows people, but this Prologue has half the amount of words from my first story! How is this possible?

I have been working on this for literally the last four days, so there is MASSIVE effort put into just the prologue itself.

This is a new story, which I am very excited to release and thank you for 263 views for 'Where the Hollow Belongs'! This is a huge milestone (for me anyways lol).

I hope you are all excited for what's going to happen, because I have quite the adventure planned out.

This prologue was really fun to type out and the characters were so much fun to create; to be honest, it's actually quite nice to write something that isn't to do with Hollowheart, lol.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed! And yes, this prologue is very long.
