Before we proceed with the story, I want to dedicate this fanfiction to my best friends Demi, Eva, Emmanuella, Nina, and Nancy. They have been my support system when I went through questionable times and I'm forever thankful I found people who I can trust completely.Furthermore, this story pairing is Jack Frost x OC. I'm sorry to all the fans of romance, believe me I'm one too, but my OC has a life and has different problems outside of just being a love interest for our favourite snow boy, therefore it won't be immediately a love at first sight. Maybe attraction? sure, there is nothing wrong with that, but definetely not love. Hope you enjoy the story! don't be afraid to leave constructive criticism, but please, don't be mean. There is a line between being constructive and borderline mean.

It was a cold winter night, filled with delicate snowflakes and melancholic silence. All the people of the town were spotted with rosy cheeks, warm thick clothes, and walking in a fast space — for their body temperature weren't particularly fond of the time the cold season comes to reside, and so they are desperate to feel the warmth of their home again; smell the delicious scent of a good home cooked meal and the welcoming environment their loved ones provide.
It was then when a girl, couldn't be older than seventeen, started running with all her might. She was clad in dark grey athletic pants, with a warm black jacket and Nike's on her feet. Her breaths were laboured, and her heart beat was faster more than anything else. Her warm breaths left cloud of mists as she run and run and run, never stopping the pace she made up a couple of hours ago.
The song Safe in New York City by ACDC could be heard from her earpieces even to those who didn't wear them, as the volume was that loud. The beat of the song only helped on motivating her further, as the girl ran even faster than before, determined to finish the rounds she set for herself.
Her feet slowed down eventually, her throat feeling sore from the cold crispy air. She tried breathing from the nose more than once since she started running, but she gave up on it after the cold hurt her nose; which now is flashed a mellow shade of red, like Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, metaphorically speaking.
She walked calmly towards the freshly white painted fences, feeling satisfied when she saw how pretty her home looks from the outside. The house had a porch, something she always secretly liked, and her adorable little garden hasn't bloomed yet, as it winter, but the grass still stayed a lovely shade of green as she waters it every two days.
Closing the fence door, and walking towards her home, Sunny wondered what she should make for dinner. It definetely have to be something warm, her dried and sore throat desperately needs that, so maybe — she unlocked the door, slipping inside — chicken soup is the right meal to make.
"I'm home!" She called out, placing the keys of the door on a decoration bawl besides her.
As always, no one answered back. There isn't anyone to answer, only the defining silence that she always comes back to. It suffocates her, a lump forming on her throat at the prospect of loneliness. Cleaning her head from those depressing thoughts, Sunny proceeded to take a well deserved shower, especially after another intense work out.
At the window of her kitchen, right above the sink, the full moon shone brightly down upon the earth; or specifically this moment, at her. No one noticed the little fairy flying to the window, placing a tiny hand straight on her forehead to pinpoint the owner of the house inside the dark room. Another fairy flew quickly to her companion, chirping fluently their language that sounded elegant like bells, and pointing at the far side of the house; right where her bedroom is.
The two little fairies were joined by another one, now becoming a group of trio. They flapped their wings towards their target, and in a slow graceful move, the three fairies sat gently on their knees, waiting and watching from the bedroom window the girl who just came in.
The athletic clothes were gone, replaced with a sleeveless, soft lavender silky gown. Her dark brown hair descended down (a little above) her waist, still a bit dump from the shower she took. Feline like steps echoed slightly in the room as she walked towards the window of her bedroom, dark brown optics looking outside suspiciously when she felt eyes burning through her. Not seeing anyone, Sunny took a couple of steps back, her mind and body now on guard.
The fairies, who ducked just in the nick of time, glanced at each other with wide eyes.
"Is this her?"
"Yes, she is!"
"How did she noticed us?!"
"She felt it, the Queen was right!"
"Is she the one?"
"She must be! Look at the moon!"
"We have to tell our Queen!"
